... working when I pull over but the battery is dead. If I shift to park my engine doesn’t turn over or make any clicks at all. The few times it’s happened it eventually will turn back on after 10 min or so after using a jumper pack. I’ve taken it to dealers and they all say the computer isn’t throwing any codes so they can’t help. I’ve nearly been in 2 accidents now on the highway trying to get to a shoulder/lack of shoulder and the fact that I lose my brakes makes this an undrivable vehicle. My vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty but the ford dealers have not been able to help and keep sending me on my way with a very dangerous vehicle. I need help, I’m concerned about being involved in a a dangerous accident that could hurt myself or others when I lose brakes and gas. This has happened 5times now over the last 25k miles. I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2014 Ford F-150 XLT equipped with the 6R80 transmission. My vehicle previously received Recall 24S37 in 2024 for the known transmission downshift safety defect involving Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor signal loss. Despite completion of the recall repair, my vehicle is now exhibiting the same dangerous symptoms associated with the recall condition, incl
... uding: • Sudden erratic transmission behavior• Speedometer intermittently dropping to zero while driving• Wrench warning light activation• Check engine warning light• Airbag warning light• Unsafe drivability conditions and intermittent limp mode operation These symptoms create a serious safety concern because the vehicle unexpectedly changes driving behavior and loses speed signal information while operating on public roads. I presented the vehicle to Dick Smith Ford in Columbia, South Carolina for evaluation and was informed the truck requires a complete transmission replacement estimated at approximately $11,000. After extensive research, I discovered many Ford truck owners nationwide reporting nearly identical symptoms involving the 6R80 transmission, molded lead frame failures, OSS sensor failures, and unintended downshifting conditions. Ford previously acknowledged similar issues in Recall 24S37 and Customer Satisfaction Program 19N01. I am concerned the original recall remedy may not fully address the underlying hardware failure associated with this transmission system. My vehicle is demonstrating the same safety-related symptoms after the recall repair was already completed. I bought this vehicle in mid April 2026 with 9,500 miles. It has the 1.5L Ecoboost engine. I drove the car for 3,000 miles and noticed the coolant was at ‘minimum’ and wondered why a car with so few miles is using coolant. While driving the car immediately downshifted and I could not accelerate. The Hill assist came on and service advance trac came on. This happened 3 times. The first time we towed it to the dealership April 17th, and they changed the oil and tested the battery secured wires and verified after the repair on April 26th. After we picked the truck up on April 26th it stalled on the highway on the home
... and we had it towed again. They kept it for 4 days drove it 80 miles and said nothing was wrong no repair was done or needed. On May 13 it stalled again in front of train tracks. Luckly I was able to stop and start it quickly to drive it to a near dealership. We picked up the truck today, and it stalled again on the way home. We drove it back to the dealership today, May 23rd, hopefully they can figure it out. We are again without a car for a long period of time. We have paid $1,964.10 in repairs that have not fixed the problem. The way the truck stops so suddenly is very dangerous as it happened once getting on the highway and once in front of a train track.Read more

Confirmation: The failure was confirmed and documented by All Star Ford dealership (Service Advisor Nicholas Borne), as well as Ford Motor Company. The vehicle has been at the dealership since January 13, 2026 and remains out of service for 130 days as of May 23, 2026 due to parts backorder for the recall repair. Prior symptoms: No warning lamps or symptoms were noticed prior to the sudden failure. Additional issues: - Ford’s official Recall 23S64 guidance requires a no-cost rental or loaner vehicle for customers with engine failure. - The dealer submitted and received pre-approval for $1,200 rental reimbursement (Approval Code [XXX], 30 days from 01/26/2026 – 02/24/2026), but I have not been reimbursed. - The dealer has also refused to provide me with a rental car from the dealership. • I sent a formal written notice to both Ford Motor Company and All Star Ford Denham Springs on April 20, 2026, giving them 14 days to resolve the issues. That deadline has passed with no adequate response. • This has caused significant financial and personal hardship (lost wages, maxed credit cards, emergency loan taken out). I am requesting NHTSA assistance to enforce proper recall remedies, including rental reimbursement/loaner vehicle and a permanent resolution of the vehicle. The transmission is the 10r80 model and shifts erratically. should be recalled and rebuilt. i only have 40k miles but it jerks when shifting from park to reverse or reverse to forward and when driving it struggles to go into the correct gear causing delayed acceleration. i have to drive carefully to prepare in case the shift delay and i also have to take a lot of extra time parking to avoid the

There's also rattling when the truck shifts gears at lower speeds from transmission area and the truck also moves forward and back when defending down hills from whatever is going on in the transmission. Vehicle experienced sudden severe loss of motive power consistent with Ford Safety Recall 23S64 (NHTSA Campaign 23V905000). While I was trying stop at a red light the vehicle struggles to brake although the brakes are applied, after coming to a full stop the vehicle shutdowns and would have restart. During operation, vehicle struggled to accelerate in traffic and braking performance became concerning due to severe engine power loss and unstable operation. On multiple occasions, the engine nearly stalled or shut down completely after stopping at intersections. Vehicle was delivered to Ford dealership for Recall 23S64 repair. Dealer completed the recall repair and stated oil pressure had been restored; however, the vehicle continued exhibiting the same severe loss of power and limp mode symptoms after completion of the recall procedure. Dealer later performed additional diagnostics and identified DTC P0087 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low) and a broken intake camshaft requiring major engine repairs estimated at approximately $9,000. Dealer stated the engine damage was not covered or related under the recall despite the vehicle originally presenting with the same low oil pressure, loss of motive power, and drivability symptoms described in Recall 23S64. Vehicle remains unsafe to operate due to unresolved loss of power and internal engine damage. Concern exists that the recall related oil pressure failure may have caused consequential internal engine damage that was not fully corrected by the recall repair procedure. When driving, the steering wheel became less responsive. The next day, we drove a few hundred miles and got gas. After turning the car back on, the steering became even less responsive, resulting in a lot of force being needed to be used in order to turn the vehicle. When stopping for a redlight the 10r80 transmission locks itself into 10th gear. I have taken 7 or 8 actual videos for proof of that. Also when leaving a intersection the transmission runs up to the rev limiter in 1st gear then slams into 2,3,4 and 5th gear. NHTSA claim # 11739491 update 05/22/2026 Young Ford Ogden Utah is refusing to execute the remedy for open safety recall 23S12 on my vehicle. They are refusing to run diagnostics test to honor the recall without paying $100 and up fee.
