We purchased a 2018 Fully Loaded Chevy Silverado LTZ/Z71 ($60,000) in 2019, with the idea it would last. After being super meticulous with maintenance and keeping this vehicle in top condition, we just passed the 110,000 mile mark. I have receipts of all the work/maintenance completed on this vehicle. I began to hear a ticking noise in the engine block, and the check engine light came on, so I pul
... led the codes and went to a local transmission/engine mechanic to find that I have a bent push rod (manufacture failure) due a failed lifter/AFM system. I opted not to take it directly to the dealer as they charge $179 base rate for diagnosis which could increase depending on the diagnosis needed. After numerous calls, I found this is a very common ($7,500-$11,000+) issue with '18-'21 models. Explored my options only to find the 2021- 2026 engines are worse with issues involving crankshaft, engine seizures and an active lawsuit with the new 6.2L V8 engines. (Silverado, GMC Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukons) I was then pointed in the direction of speaking to the GM Manufacture directly, again. I had contacted them numerous times and was told the damages, even though are not preventable and are directly due to a manufacture error. I was told I must take my vehicle to a licensed service dealer to be diagnosed. I informed them, that I was already told my vehicle would not be covered so I did not feel the need to endure additional cost only to be told the cost would again, not be covered. I'm not seeking full payment; I even mentioned Goodwill assistance of which they denied; however, I'm without a vehicle and have received very little to no communication in resolving this issue, which is an issue I'm finding is happening to many others alike and General Motors Corp, is not taking any responsibility or accountability in this matter.Read more

I am writing to formally escalate a serious unresolved issue with my Genesis vehicle and the service experience I have received from Genesis of Huntington. My vehicle has experienced repeated and dangerous malfunctions despite multiple repair attempts. The most concerning issue is that the vehicle suddenly stops functioning properly while driving, accompanied by all dashboard warning lights flash
... ing. In order to continue driving, I have had to turn the vehicle off and restart it. The vehicle has been brought back to the dealership multiple times for the same problem. Each time I was informed that the issue had been repaired and that parts had been replaced. However, the problem continues to occur even after these repairs. One of the most alarming incidents occurred while I was driving from Huntington back to Queens with my wife and newborn child in the car. The vehicle malfunctioned again, forcing me to stop and restart the car while on the road. This situation created a serious safety risk for my family. Additionally, the vehicle has been kept by the dealership for extended periods during repair attempts. As of my most recent interaction, the dealership had the vehicle for nearly two weeks during the third repair attempt for the same issue. Despite this significant amount of time, the problem remains unresolved. Compounding the issue is the lack of communication from the dealership. My attempts to contact the service department and management for updates have often gone unanswered, leaving me without information regarding the status of my vehicle. At this point, I have lost confidence in the reliability of the vehicle and the ability of the dealership to properly diagnose and repair the issue. I respectfully request immediate intervention from Genesis Motor America to review this matter. Given the repeated repair attempts for the same defect and the safety concerns involved, I ask that Genesis consider a permanent resolution.Read more

On February 3, 2026, my vehicle was taken to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet of Buford for diagnosis of a fuel system failure. The dealership charged a $235 diagnostic fee and concluded that the failure was caused by fuel contamination from an outside source. Based on this determination, my warranty claim with General Motors was denied and my case (#89096714) was closed. After this determination, the veh
... icle was transported to an independent diesel repair shop for further inspection. During the initial inspection, the technician removed the intake cover and discovered a large crack in the fuel injector pump. The pump had catastrophically failed and internally disintegrated, sending metal fragments throughout the fuel system. This clearly indicates the contamination originated from an internal mechanical failure of the fuel injector pump, not from outside fuel contamination. The independent technician confirmed that the injector pump failure caused metal debris to spread throughout the fuel system. Additionally, there was a visible leak at the front of the engine, which should have prompted further inspection in that area during the dealership’s diagnosis. It appears the dealership’s conclusion was based primarily on fuel sampling, without performing a full mechanical inspection of the injection pump and related components.Read more

Ok this is getting old, I'll leave this one here then I'm done for now. I was driving to work like I always do and came up on this curve on the road. Not an intersection or an off ramp, the road just curved. So I figured SuperCruise right! Before I bought the car everybody on YouTube was raveling about how great it was so me leaving from my old school regular low income cruise control to SuperCru
... ise was a major step. I was doing good in life! Too bad it almost ended that day. So I'm doing the speed limit, like 60 or 65mph second from the far left lane SuperCruise is on, light traffic, hit the curve, not thinking anything about it. Next thing I know the car departs my lane and goes two lanes over! Now I'm on the far right lane! No warnings, no turn signals, no seats vibrating this time. Luckily for me the car in the lane to my right slowed down to get out of the way and there wasn't a car in the lane to the right of him where I ended up. This was before I came to distrust the system so I didn't even anticipate it. Anyways I have since driven that road a couple times and this doesn't always happen. If there's heavy traffic it stays in its lane but if there's traffic it thinks the road is it's so it's hit or miss. Even the car doesn't know that's going on.Read more

Kia had a safety recall which required a software update to address the potential of the car moving/ rolling away while parked. Kia addressed this by updating the software to automatically set the parking brake when the vehicle is turned off. In the northeast/ rust belt states where there is water/ salt and rust, the brake pads rust and freeze to the rotor. The brakes lock up, physically jerk a

The brake rotors and pads are being prematurely damaged and may result in sudden failure. This "cheap software fix" needs to be changed and the drivetrain parts/ parking pin should be appropriately repaired on all affected vehicles.Read more

Incident 3: While pulling into my driveway, the vehicle displayed warning lights when shifted into reverse and went into transmission lock, rendering it immobile before losing power completely. In all three cases my wife and children were in the vehicle and were placed in unsafe situations. I am concerned this vehicle has serious safety defects.Read more

I own a new 2026 Audi A6 Prestige that I just purchased and have 320 miles on so far. The vehicle is experiencing a driver assistance system malfunction. The instrument cluster repeatedly displays “Driver assistance: limited,” along with warnings that Lane Assist and High Beam Assist are unavailable. The warning messages and audible chimes occur repeatedly while driving, approximately every f
... ew seconds or minutes. The alerts and beeping repeatedly interrupt driving and create a distraction that takes the driver’s attention away from the road. This is a big safety issue. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Audi dealership. The dealer confirmed the issue but advised that the fix is a software update that has not yet been released by the manufacturer. Because the update is not yet available, the vehicle continues to operate with driver assistance safety systems disabled and with repeated warning alerts occurring during normal driving. The concern is that the repeated alerts and chimes during driving create a driver distraction and affect safe operation of the vehicle. The manufacturer has indicated a software update may be released in the future, but there is currently no repair available. This is a safety concern as it constantly takes me away from driving and looking at the constant alerts and beeps. These includes items such as: - alerts repeat while driving - driver-assistance safety systems unavailable - warning tones and pop-ups repeatedly distract the driver I do not blame the dealership as they have done everything they can do, but how can Audi not make this a top priority to be fixed. I am told that this is impacting almost all new Audi cars including the A5 and A6s. Thanks for your help. Perhaps 1 year into owning this car the apple carplay connection started going in and out-- it takes perhaps 10 to 15 seconds for it to start working again. I've tried different phones and cords. This issue is getting worse, sometimes 6 times in a 20 minute drive. Now it goes out very frequently (though it is rare in the mornings for some reason). I have brought the car into a dealership and they
... cannot find any issue with the car. At the recommendation of the dealership I switched the cord to an official apple cord, but when I did this the connection would be lost and I'd have to reach down, disconnect the cord, and reconnect it to get the screen to come back on-- I have since switched back to an Anker cord. There have been many drivers with the same EV6 reporting this issue in Kia FB groups. Now that the car is about 4 years old, it happens very frequently (one time 6 times in a 10 minute span). The safety issue comes in as one, some people may be reaching to disconnect and reconnect their cord while driving, which can be a distraction and may lead to increase in accidents, two, if someone is on a call they may disconnect the cord and switch to speaker, which again is a distraction, and three, I have also been using the navigation system through the carplay, and when the map goes out my turn is going up it can cause me to hesitate on whether to turn or not (and perhaps if the screen comes on at the last minute, make a quick turn, which can increase risk of collision).Read more

The vehicle began shaking and lunging forward unpredictably while I attempted to exit the highway. With hazard lights on, I slowly crept the vehicle to the dealership because it could barely move. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for Recall 68C related to the

The steering gear (rack and pinion) assembly exhibits clunking when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, and does not return to center at higher speed (stays in turned position when let go). This is available for inspection upon request. Our safety is put at risk because the steering feels strange and does not behave as with other cars, requiring force to return the wheel to center in a turn
... at speed. This problem has been confirmed by a qualified service center and they attempted to fix it by replacing the intermediate steering column, but it did not resolve the issue. There were no warning messages.Read more

Electrical issues began around 15,000 miles. Since then, the vehicle has been in the shop many times for electrical-related concerns and has required towing twice. Most concerning, these failures have left us stranded in dangerous conditions on multiple occasions. These incidents represent serious safety risks to our family and others on the road. We have been diligent about regular maintenance as
... well. A Honda vehicle of this age and mileage should not experience repeated electrical system breakdowns that compromise vehicle control and driver safety. When the car errors come on the car has lost AWD (while in the mountains in a snow storm) acceleration, the ability to change driving modes, and this most recent event we lost complete access to the driver panel and steering while driving. This electrical issue has been documented over 5 times and we have been told specifically by the dealers weve been towed or brought to "You may have drove it too hard" or "We reset the codes and the car is now driving fine" or "we can't find a problem". Most recently the alternator failed and they will not back to repair because it's past 36,000. We want to see Honda fix these issues before someone is seriously injured. We have photos and video of all of the warnings each time they happened. We also have documentation of each electrical failure, the date, the mileage and what we were told by the dealership in response.Read more
