I purchased a 2023 Suburban on March 6, 2026 with 52,980 miles. I drove it home to my house and parked it. On March 7, 2026 about 6pm, I started the vehicle and heard a loud engine noise. On 3/26/2026 a symbol of an engine appeared on my dash. Then several minutes later the car began running very rough and numerous warnings signs came on including Check Engine, Check AWD System, Check Power Steering System, Check Uphill Assist system and others. I took the car to my mechanic this morning and after checking various systems he determined the Cylinder Deactivation system was not perfo

He was not able to correct the problem and said I should contact the dealer as he thought Honda had issued an extended recall on the Acura 2013 RDXs because of this problem. He said this malfunction has caused my AWD system to be disabled. I called the dealer and they said there was no recall for this issue. I have an appointment on 3/31 to have them check it out. I own a 2019 Ford Escape with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle began experiencing engine misfires and a powertrain malfunction warning. Diagnostic code P0302 appeared for cylinder 2 misfire. After about six months of ownership, a knocking noise started happening from the front of the vehicle when turning the wheel all of the way to the right. Bumps felt more and more noticeable and a lot of noise inside the cabin. Specifically, a lot of vibrating on the right side of the vehicle: windows, front passenger seat, and the trunk window. Looking over the internet, it seems like this problem is apparent in multiple vehicle years, but never properly addressed via a recall: [XXX] . The vehicle is currently in Sansone Mazda in [XXX] . They replaced the right CV and the problem did not go away. I was told they would have to contact Mazda corporate. They did and I was then advised that they would need to replace the left CV axel, as well. Not surprisingly based on the frequency of this issue, that part was unavailable and on back order. Incident date: Mar 1, 2025
Incident Summary: On 2/2/2026, my vehicle was serviced under Safety Recall 25V-274 at an authorized GMC dealership. The service technician performed the mandated diagnostic protocol (including the PicoScope test) and informed me that the engine had "passed" inspection. No internal components were replaced; the remedy was limited to an oil change to a higher-viscosity oil (0W-40) and a new oil fill
... er cap. The Failure: Approximately 48 hours after this "successful" recall remedy, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic engine failure while in operation. The engine failed entirely. The vehicle lost all propulsion while in motion, creating an immediate safety hazard for myself and other motorists. Diagnostic and Risk: The failure has been confirmed by a GMC dealer, who subsequently performed a full engine and radiator replacement. In the 48-hour prior to failure, there were no warning lamps or symptoms; the vehicle had just been cleared by the manufacturer's own diagnostic tools as safe and free of defects. Systemic Concern: This incident demonstrates that the current diagnostic protocol for Recall 25V-274 is insufficient to identify terminal manufacturing defects in the connecting rods and crankshaft of the L87 6.2L V8 engine. The "remedy" of higher-viscosity oil failed to prevent the exact catastrophic loss of propulsion the recall was intended to address. The replaced engine is available for inspection upon request by the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.Read more

On 2/25/26, in rush hour traffic we were driving on a NJ highway. We happened to be in the left-most of 3 lanes with a concrete divider (no shoulder – there was about 3 ft between the concrete divider and the left side of the left lane). We were about 4 car lengths behind the next car when traffic was slowing for a red light. The car indicated “Everything OK”. When I hit my brakes, they did
... not engage; they locked. The car skidded; it felt like we were on ice, but the road was clear. We were upon the car in front of us and had no place to go. I held the steering tight and tried pumping the brakes to disengage the lock. To no avail. I was planning on scraping the divider on my side to slow the car down. I steered the car into the tight space next to the divider thinking it would cause less injuries as opposed to plowing into the back of the stopped car in front of me. We slid at least 4 car lengths before traveling past 3 stopped cars in succession, I just barely missed hitting the concrete divider and/or the cars in the lane in front/beside me. On the left side, I could see that my mirror was over the divider and on right side we were within an inch or two of a hit. Realizing that I miraculously missed hitting anything, I tested the brakes going only a couple of inches and the brakes did engage. I slowly moved across the lanes to get to the right shoulder. Through all of this, the car indicated “Everything OK”. On 2/26 the car was towed to the dealership. The dealership technician and BMW representative easily replicated the brake failure. Through their testing they determined that the Integrated Brake Module, the same part that had be replaced in Nov 2025 for a recall, had failed again. Before, during, and after the incident, the car indicated “Everything OK”. After repeated requests, neither the dealership or BMW rep gave us any information about why the car failed to warn us of the problem or assurance us of its safety.Read more

The vehicle entered dealer custody in 08/2025 after a dead battery / lockout repair event and was returned by the dealer on 01/08/2026 after months in dealer custody for repair work. Before entering dealer custody, the vehicle was drivable. The dealer documented a completed road test and inspection, but the vehicle was returned in unsafe and inoperable condition. Immediately after dealer return,
... on the drive home, the vehicle shook violently and emitted a strong burning smell, requiring multiple stops. The condition was later duplicated with dealer personnel during a road test. Despite that, the dealer refused meaningful diagnostic work and later returned the vehicle by flatbed. Since that return, the front brakes appear seized/engaged. If the vehicle is placed in drive, it remains stationary. If throttle is applied, it moves only slightly while squealing as though the brakes are locked on. The vehicle is not safely drivable and has remained inoperable since 01/08/2026. This created a safety risk because the vehicle was returned for use on public roads despite violent shaking, burning odor, and what appears to be brake seizure/drag. The symptoms were reproducible and were brought to the dealer’s attention immediately. The vehicle remains available for inspection.Read more

The vehicle exhibits multiple critical safety defects that pose a severe risk to my life and the lives of my children. Most notably, the steering system performs sudden, unintended maneuvers and the steering wheel moves with dangerous abruptness without driver input. Additionally, severe electrical failures frequently prevent the doors from opening or the vehicle from powering down, creating a hig
... h risk of entrapment. The seat belts frequently jam, making it impossible for passengers to release them in an emergency. Power windows operate spontaneously, and the car often refuses to lock or unlock. This vehicle has been out of service for a total of 63 days across 5 separate repair attempts. As of today, the vehicle has been at the dealership for 8 consecutive days with no updates or progress reports from the manufacturer. Despite these repeated failures and the car being unusable for over two months, Audi refuses to provide a buyback, claiming the vehicle is 'operating as designed.' This is a blatant disregard for public safety, as the vehicle remains unpredictable and prone to total system failure while on the road.Read more
