On March 26, 2026 my 2019 Infiniti QX50 (VIN: [XXX] ) experienced complete loss of motive power while exiting the freeway. My blind mother and [XXX] autistic son were both passengers creating a serious safety emergency for two disabled individuals. On March 28, 2026 Les Schwab Tires (Store [XXX] ) professionally documented metal shavings in the oil pan on official invoice stating ‘SHAVING IN OI
... L PAN’ with my VIN recorded. I brought the vehicle to Infiniti Roseville [XXX] ). Their own official inspection report R/O 101930 dated March 28, 2026 confirms: ‘REMOVED OIL PAN AND INSPECTED FOR BEARING DEBRIS. FOUND SMALL AMOUNT OF METAL SILVER COLORED.’ The report also documents my reported intermittent power loss and references two photos of the debris taken during inspection. Despite finding documented metal debris consistent with recall R25B2 bearing failure, Infiniti Roseville is denying engine replacement claiming silver colored debris does not qualify. Nissan’s published recall criteria makes no such color distinction — it states metal debris qualifies for engine repair or replacement at no charge. Warning symptoms began December 5, 2025 including headlight flickering, high pitched engine whistling, VDC warning light January 25, 2026 — all documented with timestamped photos and video. The vehicle is currently at Infiniti Roseville. I am requesting federal intervention as the dealer is not complying with recall R25B2 repair criteria and is applying internal standards that contradict Nissan’s published recall documentation INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

In July 2022, following a battery replacement by the same dealership, the vehicle repeatedly lost power and stalled, leaving me stranded multiple times. I paid for diagnostic testing, but there is no documentation confirming proper diagnosis or repair. I was later advised incorrect hardware had been installed. On 02/27/2026, I was told the check engine light was on and diagnostic codes were cleared without repair. There is no documentation of the codes or repairs performed. I was also informed on 11/19/2022 that parts were ordered for a safety recall. From that date until 02/27/2026, I was repeatedly told parts were unavailable. I scheduled repair and dropped off the vehicle on 03/13/2026. I received notice that repair had begun, but later discovered the vehicle had not been serviced at all. No explanation was provided. Additionally, service records are inaccurate. A vehicle history report shows service on 03/17/2026 at a dealership I have never visited. The vehicle was not serviced anywhere on that date. These issues involve loss of control, repeated stalling, improper repairs, failure to complete a recall, and inaccurate reporting. Documentation is incomplete or missing. On March 4, 2026, at approximately 7:30 AM EST, while driving my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited on [XXX] , the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of propulsion while traveling at approximately 70 mph (posted speed limit). The vehicle would not accelerate or maintain speed and would not move forward when placed in drive, indicating a failure within the powertrain/transmission system. The vehicle is c
... urrently located at a Hyundai dealership and is available for inspection upon request. This incident created a significant safety risk, as I was traveling at highway speed in active traffic when the vehicle unexpectedly lost the ability to move under its own power. This placed me at risk of being rear-ended and made it difficult to safely maneuver out of traffic. The vehicle was inspected by a Hyundai dealership. Diagnostic trouble code P284001 (Shift Fork “D” Position) was identified, and I was informed the failure is transmission-related. The condition was reproduced by placing the vehicle in drive, at which point the vehicle would not move. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership. The manufacturer has been notified but has not physically inspected the vehicle. No police or insurance inspection was involved. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The issue occurred suddenly without any indication of a problem. Hyundai has opened an internal case, number 42429100 Their only resolution is to leave the vehicle at a dealership and rent a car at my own expense. They have offered to give me a slight discount on a trade, but all comparable vehicles are under safety recalls as well. They have offered no effective solution and I have no manner to safely transport my family. The vehicle is subject to an activ
... e safety recall (NHTSA Recall 26V034) for failure to meet federal ejection mitigation standards (FMVSS 226) due to curtain airbag performance in the third row. According to the manufacturer, there is currently no available remedy for this condition. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized dealership, which confirmed that the recall is active and that no repair can be performed at this time. A separate seatbelt-related recall was completed during the inspection. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the recall notices. Because there is no available remedy and no timeline for repair, the vehicle cannot be restored to a condition that meets federal safety standards within a reasonable timeframe. This impacts the ability to safely transport occupants, particularly in scenarios involving side impact or rollover crashes where ejection mitigation is required. The manufacturer has not provided a functional resolution, such as a loaner vehicle or alternative transportation, and advised leaving the vehicle at the dealership without support. This leaves the owner without a safe and usable vehicle for normal family transportation.Read more

The vehicle (2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid) has suffered from a systemic parasitic 12V battery drain since the first month of ownership. The first occurrence was July 20, 2025, requiring a jump-start from Kia Roadside Assistance. On 02/26/2026, the vehicle was presented at Moritz Kia Alliance for the same issue. The dealer diagnosed the 12V battery as defective (Code R04) and replaced it under warrant
... y. However, the defect persisted. On 03/10/2026, only 12 days later, the vehicle suffered another total electrical failure. I had to utilize Kia Roadside Assistance for a jump-start and drive the vehicle directly to the dealer without turning the engine off to ensure it could be serviced. This marked the second official repair attempt for this recurring defect. The vehicle has remained in dealer possession since March 10 (21 consecutive days). On March 11, only one day after drop-off, the Service Director threatened that the vehicle would be "impounded" after 60 days, despite the vehicle being the subject of an active Texas DMV Lemon Law Case (#26-0012638.CAF). On March 26, a critical safety failure occurred: during a start-up attempt, the Integrated Power Brake (IPB) system malfunctioned, causing the brake pedal to pulsate and physically "kick back" with significant force against my foot. I have serious concerns that this braking failure could occur while in motion, posing an unreasonable risk of high-speed collision, serious injury, or death. No root-cause diagnosis has been made. Furthermore, the main fuse box cover was left off during service, exposing critical electrical components. The vehicle is available for inspection.Read more

While driving under normal conditions, without any prior impact, collision, or road hazard, the control arm on my vehicle suddenly detached. At the time of the incident, my children were in the vehicle, which significantly increa

Tesla towed the vehicle and repaired it at no cost. However, a suspension/control arm failure during normal driving is a serious safety concern that could lead to loss of steering control and possible crash. I am reporting this incident for safety investigation purposes, as this type of failure may pose a broader risk to other drivers.Read more

Incident date: Mar 11, 2026
I am submitting a safety complaint regarding a **2017 Kia Sorento SXL** equipped with a **3.3L Lambda V6 engine**, which experienced **sudden and catastrophic engine failure** at approximately **137,000 miles**. Prior to failure, the vehicle exhibited **progressively worsening engine knocking and vibration**, indicating internal engine damage. Despite these warning signs, the failure occurred **a
... bruptly while driving at highway speed**, resulting in a **sudden loss of power**. This incident created an **immediate safety hazard**, as I was traveling in active traffic and was forced to quickly maneuver to avoid surrounding vehicles. The unexpected loss of propulsion significantly increased the risk of a collision. The nature of the failure appears to be consistent with **internal engine component failure (such as connecting rod bearing failure)**, which is not typical for a properly maintained modern engine at this mileage. Importantly, my vehicle was manufactured in **November 2016**, placing it within an early production period for this engine. There is evidence from technical service information and consumer reports suggesting a **pattern of premature internal engine failures** in this engine family, particularly involving **rod bearing wear leading to catastrophic failure**. This raises concern that the issue may represent a **systemic defect** rather than normal wear and tear. I am concerned that other vehicles with this engine may experience similar failures **without sufficient warning**, potentially resulting in dangerous driving situations, especially at highway speeds. I am requesting that NHTSA: • Review this incident as a **potential safety-related defect** • Evaluate whether similar complaints exist involving the **3.3L Kia Lambda V6 engine** • Determine if an **investigation or recall** is warranted I am able to provide supporting documentation, including maintenance records, diagnostic findings, and repair estimates upon request.Read more

When going over bumps such as speed bumps or bumps in the road there has been a clunking noise and sometimes a grind, for a few seconds. With this the ABS light also comes on. Then goes off. This has went on for the past 6-7months. Its not every time,it is very random. It will do it and not again for a while. On 3/16/26 the SVC FWD warning light came on while driving. After restarting it it take
... s about 30seconds and it comes back on and stays on until the vehicle is shut off. There has been a couple times the vehicle has hesitated to go forward when the gas was pressed. I have taken it to an auto shop and they found code: C14A7-97 for PTU failure. They recommended to contact Jeep since there is a recall for that year. When the dealer checked my VIN it does not fall under the recall. I am afraid of driving it as I don't want it to stall on me or cause an accident as I usually have my young child with me. The shop said it would be around $6000 to repair. If not under the recall.Read more

On two separate occasions, my 2023 Nissan Rogue has experienced major loss of power while driving 80 mph. The first time, all of the dash lights were blinking and there was an awful noise coming from the engine. I could not drive over 10 mph. The vehicle had to be towed 200 miles to the nearest Nissan dealer in Billings, MT. They cleared the codes, test drove it and said everything was fine. The s
... econd time my vehicle had to be towed. 115 miles from the nearest Nissan dealer. Same issues, except this time there were no dash lights. Prior to all of this happening, my car had an open recall for the 1.5L VC-Turbo engine that my car has. Since the first time this occurred and Nissan "fixed" the problem, there has been no open recall. With the second occurance, Nissan had to replace the Throttle Actuator and Gaskets according to the invoice. Luckily, I had purchased my own extended warranty and that warranty covered $1,104.20 of the $1,204.20 (I paid $100 co-pay). I was charged $715 for towing from Nissan Roadside Assistance. The invoice claims the Nissan found the following diagnostic results: DTC P0507-00 Wwhich is directly linked to a fractured internal gear in the Electric Throttle Control Actuator, the subject of NHTSA Recall 26V081 and DTC P0196 which is directly linked to engine oil temperature performance, the precursor to engine bearing seizures addressed in NHTSA Recall 26V080. Nissan is currently excluding many 2023 models from the "official" recall list. My car has 67,350 miles on it, but this failure should be covered by Nissan's 10-year/120,000-mile extended powertrain warranty. The parts replaced (throttle actuator and gaskets) and the diagnostic codes are identical to those in the 2026 expanded recall populations. Denying coverage based on an "open recall" statis is a violation of the spirit of the NHTSA safety mandates for this engine. I am formally requesting/demanding reimbursment from Nissan North America for the $815 that I have been charged.Read more

Around the 1st of February 2026 the weather had turned cold around 6 degrees Fahrenheit and I had just had my vehicle inspected in January so I know everything was fine then. We went into the office to clean because that a weekly job for us usually under an hour. When we came out my w
... indshield was cracked on the passenger side starting at the bottom going straight up about 8” long. The weather stayed cold and a few days later it cracked more and then more and then more. It’s moving over towards the drivers side horizontally about eye level. There is no rock strike where the crack started, it seems to me that when heat was applied to the windshield something expanded or contracted or flexed while we were inside the office because it was cracked when we came out to leave. I haven’t taken it to a Ford dealership to have it looked at or filed an insurance claim. It’s been about two months now I need to get it fixed before the whole windshield collapses into my lap. I realize the safety issue with a cracked windshield and it could cause me and others on the road to get hurt. I’ve only driven it to doctors appointments and to pick up medication at the store a mile away. I’ve never had a vehicle that has had the windshield crack due to clod weather when it was heated up and then cooled back down. Either the glass was manufactured incorrectly or it was installed incorrectly or the framing expanded or contracted causing it to bind the glass. If you could please look into this for me it would be greatly appreciated.Read more

While driving on the 60 East highway (approximately 65-68 mph), the vehicle did not accelarate and became completely non-responsive. Each time I pressed on the gas pedal, the RPM needle started trembling between 600-1100, which is much lower than where it should be while the vehicle was in Drive and traveling at this speed. This was an extremely dangerous situation as I had my wife and 5 month old

I noticed some engine vibrations, and the digital gauge cluster screen presented information on the screen as if the vehicle was "off." It instructed me to push the gear lever into Park. It then instructed me to press the brake pedal and push the iginition button. All of this occurred as the vehicle was still coasting (likely around 40 mph). I pulled over on to the shoulder to see what occurred. After coming to a complete stop the engine cut out. I was able to restart the vehicle and drove approximately 10 minutes before it occurred again on the surface streets. At that point the ignition did not catch and it sounded very much like the engine was not able to turn on at all. The check engine light turned on at this point. We have a rear facing car seat that was placed behind the drivers seat that had to be replaced (by us) as the seat auto adjusted and did not detect the back of the car seat and snapped the car seat out of its base. We contact Rivian over phone and they did not have a remedy (over a year ago, cannot
... recall exact date). It happened several times where we had to force stop the adjustment to prevent damage to new car seat. Eventually we decided to place the new rear facing car seat behind the passenger car seat instead. The back of the drivers seat has permanent damage from it pushing against the car seat. I did not think about filing a complaint here until I read about the recent Hyundai incident.Read more

Car leaks. Cargo Bay fills with water. Possible mold issues. I am told this leaking causes damage to the control module for the tailgate. Our tailgate will close on us and has almost closed on our children. We have to be very careful when the children are around the tailgate because it will begin to close without warning.

First I would get a check engine light and infotainment screen would go black and odometer started blinking. Restart required. Occasionally the key fob is not detected. Reset the check engine light twice. Once at Huntington Beach RAM and once at Sunnyvale Chrysler. Both times the technician was unable to determine cause of fault. Slowly the failures became worse. The vehicle infotainment sys
... tem and safety features that controls propulsion and ADAS intermittently started to fail and ultimately the truck started to stall. This stalling occurred 15 minutes after a service oil change and tire rotation at Sunnyvale Chrysler / RAM. Had to tow vehicle back to Sunnyvale. Batteries changed. Tech stalled on test drive after about 5 miles. RAM app still oddly indicates low battery, even though Sunnyvale replaced both batteries. Additionally, the trailer tow module (under recall) information / status on the infotainment screen menu started flashing. The trailer tow module recall was not installed as scheduled, even though parts were checked and available, however due to parts shortage, dealer indicated sales vehicle get priorities for the modules at this time. The screen started changing status without touching the screen or menu buttons. This is a serious condition I feel warrants complete check out and repair to avoid safety concerns due to failures / hazards in the operational effectiveness of the vehicle systems / controls, that could increase risk of an accident ,that might lead to vehicle or property damage, injuries or other catastrophic events. They re-did the test and took pictures which shows the fuel is within tolerance but no diagnostic report and are refusing to complete a warranty checkup on my engine/electrical system. Also, the misfires with acceleration due to merging has happened 3 times. From the start back in July 2025 till now.Read more
