The rear glass in my 2020 Acura RDX Aspec randomly shattered when I closed my rear driver side door. My car was not running and hadn’t been running for over a hour and there were no signs of impact to the glass. There is a TSB from Honda about this being an issue already. I bought the car used and have owned it for a year. My extended warranty doesn’t cover the rear glass. It was going to cost
... over $1000 to fix as the dealership would not cover the cost and my car is out of its factory warranty. Didn’t have much choice but to use Safelite. Now there are glass shards stuck in my tailgate and apparently no way to remove them without removing the glass from the tailgate and removing the tailgate from the vehicle. Other complaints show that this can also happen while the car is running and in motion which seems like a major safety concern. With the glass shards stuck in the tailgate my car has been devalued by no fault of own. Honda knows this is an issue but will not issue a recall and it could also be a safety issue.Read more

After several decades of producing the JK model Wrangler, Jeep transitioned to a JL model midyear 2018. There are essentially two distinct 2018 Jeep Wrangler models. Jeep (Stellantis) has accepted responsibility for a safety defect for the JL model years 2019 through current. This recognized defect affects heavy corrosion on the hinges for the doors which creates an extreme safety concern. My
... 2018 JL Wrangler has the same failure, same part, same time frame, but was unjustly excluded by build date. 6 of the 8 door hinges and surrounding body have various levels of corrosion. My dealer just completed a recall for a steering damper which is widely categorized as a concern for 2018 and 2019 JL Wranglers. This is irrefutable proof that 2018 JL Wranglers were built through the same assembly line process as 2019 and later versions. The safety concern I've described above should be included in the open factory recall that Jeep/Stellantis has accepted as their responsibility. I have contact customer service for Jeep/Stellantis multiple times. They refuse to hear my concerns, were incredibly unprofessional, and have hung up on me numerous times.Read more

The vehicle experienced a transmission failure at approximately 62,000 miles, which required a transmission replacement. Toyota replaced the transmission with a rebuilt transmission. Immediately after the repair, the vehicle began experiencing multiple issues that were not present prior to the repair. The vehicle initially would not reverse, and the battery was drained shortly after the repair wa
... s completed. Following the repair, the vehicle has continued to experience ongoing electrical malfunctions, including dashboard warning lights, system alerts, and dash lights flashing during remote start. The vehicle has also developed a rattling noise underneath the vehicle. The exact failed component has not been clearly identified. The dealership has provided changing diagnoses and has not provided written diagnostic documentation despite requests. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership multiple times; however, the issues have not been resolved. During a recent diagnostic, the dealership stated that the catalytic converter is now the issue, but this does not address the ongoing electrical problems. These issues raise safety concerns due to unpredictable vehicle behavior and potential failure of critical systems while driving. Warning lights and system errors began appearing after the transmission repair and have continued since that time. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.Read more

On April 4, 2026, the vehicle was towed via Hyundai roadside assistance to Wi

Despite significant effort, we were unable to secure a rental vehicle in the Dewey Beach area, even after contacting multiple rental agencies and the dealership directly. This was later resolved, and I am currently in a rental through Enterprise; however, the stress and uncertainty of potentially being stranded was significant and unacceptable. While at the dealership, my wife witnessed the tow operator unloading the vehicle without proper equipment to safely lower it. As a result, the vehicle’s hitch made forceful contact with the pavement and became lodged. Multiple dealership employees observed the incident. After considerable effort to free the vehicle, it was released abruptly and rolled into another vehicle on the lot, causing additional damage. Incident date: Jun 5, 2025
The component involved is the Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system. It intermittently fails and returns unexpectedly, causing sudden changes in steering effort and jerking of the steering wheel. This creates a serious safety risk because vehicle control can change without warning, especially at highway speeds. The steering system (rack and pinion/EPAS assembly) has been replaced twice,
... but the issue persists. Replaced parts are not available for inspection. No manufacturer inspection has confirmed a permanent fix. This failure puts my safety and others at risk due to unpredictable steering behavior and potential loss of control. Other owners have reported similar EPAS failures, including sudden loss of steering assist, near-collision events, and accidents documented in public complaint records. The vehicle has received repeated repairs for this issue, including two rack and pinion replacements, without resolution. No police or insurance inspection has occurred. Warning symptoms include intermittent steering assist loss, sudden changes in steering resistance, and inconsistent steering feel. These occur without consistent warning, making the failure unpredictable and dangerous. This appears to be a recurring defect in the EPAS system that has not been reliably resolved through repair attempts or existing recall actions.Read more

On January 6, 2026., I was backing out of my son's driveway when I heard a loud pop, it sounded like a rock hitting the back window of my Silverado. I then discovered the driver's side of the back window shattered. Prior to backing out, I used the auto start to warm up my vehicle. I did some research and found there was a recall for this issue that was supposedly completed by Lithia Chevy of Helen
... a on 6/29/2020. GM is refusing to replace the rear slider window stating there's no recall. I then reported the issue to GM Product Assistance claims it's do to wear/elements. See recall below. GM Program #N192265660 Status: Complete Description: Certain 2014-2019 model year Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles equipped with a power sliding rear window (RPO A48) may have areas of high electrical resistance on the rear defroster circuit. This could be caused, in part, by mechanical stress from opening and closing the rear power window, intrusion of debris, and use of the rear defroster. Over time, this condition could generate heat that could melt the areas surrounding the circuit. In rare instances, this heat could cause a non-propagating fire, increasing the risk of property damage or injury. This is the second time Lithia Chevy has claimed they completed a recall. On July 28, 2023, my brakes failed during a 200-mile trip to my hometown. After several days of battling with Chevy and General Motors I paid a private mechanic $100 to verify the vacuum pump had failed on my Silverado, Chevy finally fixed the issue on August 8, 2023. There was 47,781 miles on it at the time. See Repair Description below showing they supposedly completed the recall, the same day as the back window recall (6/29/2020). There is a long history of defected engines because of the poor way these were built for our specific year, and we were told repeatedly that it was the lack of maintenance from the previous owner being the cause of the issues when that in fact is a lie as we have several maintenance records routinely. I will never buy or recommend these defected and lemon cars again especially when it involves the safety of your life!
