I am reporting multiple safety-related defects on my 2025 Toyota Tundra (approx. 18.5k miles, purchased 07/25). Toyota has been made aware and has not resolved these issues. The most serious defect is deterioration of the driver-side air intake housing. While replacing the air filters, I observed the airbox shedding internal material directly onto the engine air filter. This is not external debri
... s and there are no signs of rodent intrusion, indicating internal component breakdown. This vehicle shares the V35A engine platform, which is subject to recall for debris contamination leading to main bearing failure, engine stall, and loss of drive power. The presence of internally generated debris upstream of the engine creates a credible risk of engine damage or sudden failure while driving. Toyota’s recall documentation confirms debris contamination can cause engine stall and loss of drive power. The windshield cracked during extreme cold weather. The crack originated near the lower edge at the wiper/cowl interface and propagated upward in a pattern consistent with stress or thermal failure, not impact, affecting visibility and structural integrity. Additionally, the lower front bumper trim cracked without meaningful impact, and the rear bumper failed under minimal load in cold conditions. These failures indicate material brittleness and raise concern for reduced crash protection and increased risk of injury in a collision. Other issues include driver-side seat trim cracking and premature paint and trim degradation. Similar failures, including windshield cracking, trim failure, and cold-weather brittleness, are widely reported by other 2022+ Tundra owners, indicating a potential systemic defect. Given the known engine recall and active internal material degradation in the intake system, there is a credible safety risk of engine stall, sudden loss of power at speed, reduced visibility, and increased injury risk due to compromised bumper integrity.Read more

The component involved is the engine and associated knock detection system (KSDS). The system triggered a P1326 code indicating abnormal engine knock associated with a known defect condition. On February 14, 2023, while driving on the freeway, the vehicle suddenly entered reduced power (“limp mode”) and lost acceleration capability in active traffic. This created a safety risk, as the vehicle
... was unable to maintain speed with surrounding traffic or accelerate as needed for normal driving conditions. There were no sufficient warnings prior to the event to allow safe planning or avoidance of the loss of power condition. The system activation itself (P1326 and limp mode) was the first indication of the severity of the issue. The problem has been reproduced multiple times, with repeated P1326 events occurring after the initial incident. The condition has been inspected and partially confirmed by a Hyundai dealership. In March 2026, dealership records documented that oil contamination was causing catalytic converter failure, indicating ongoing engine-related deterioration consistent with the defect condition identified by the knock detection system. Despite these findings, the underlying engine condition has not been resolved. The KSDS system is designed to detect a potentially serious engine defect and limit engine power to prevent further damage. However, it does not correct the underlying defect. As a result, the vehicle may continue to operate with a known compromised condition that can trigger reduced power unexpectedly. This creates an ongoing safety concern. A vehicle that can suddenly lose acceleration due to a known defect presents a risk to the driver, passengers, and other motorists, particularly during freeway driving, merging, or other situations requiring normal engine performance. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.Read more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding an unresolved fuel pump recall on my 2019 Honda Civic. My vehicle became inoperable around October 2025 after passing Pennsylvania state inspection in July 2025. The vehicle is currently not drivable and remains inoperable. Despite multiple attempts to schedule repair through Honda MotorWorld and Honda customer service, the recall repair has not been completed. I have contacted both the dealership and Honda corporate through multiple case numbers and written communication. However, repair has not been provided and access to service has been repeatedly delayed or conditioned on phone-only communication, despite my use of written/email communication being accepted in other parts of the case process. As of today, the safety recall remains open and unrepaired, and the vehicle remains inoperable. While traveling to Abilene Tx to see my doctor my check engine light came on. I pulled into the Hyundai dealership and ask the service advisor to plug into my vehicle and let me know what was going on. After he talked to his service manager he advised me that they "where to busy" and the earliest they could get me in would be the next Monday. This was Wednesday. My home is 100 miles from Abilene.
... I asked if he thought it would be alright and he said sure. I barely made it back to Big Spring before it started clinking and cluttering. It sound horrible. My son said it sounded like it through a rod. He checked the oil and said that I had low oil however my low oil light did not come on. I notified the dealership and was advised that I had to have it towed back to the shop in Abilene which I did. After a week passed I was in Abilene and stopped to check on my vehicle. Needless to say my repairs are in excess of 20K. New engine etc. and rear suspension is out also. After researching I have found I'm not the only owner with these problems. There are numerous complaints about these problems with the Palisade. This is a danger to all who own this vehicle. Fires, accidents and no telling what can affect us. All these vehicles need to be recalled because of the engine that was placed in these vehicles. The engine is eating oil fast. My oil changes were on time. Hyundai and the dealership are unwilling to offer any help in repairing my vehicle. The parts on the suspension are sub standard. I can't believe they are called the #1 SUV in America! Buyers need to be aware of the substandard parts and engine. They also need to be aware the Hyundai doesn't stand behind their product or the dealership either for that matter. I shutter to think of who I could've been on the side of the road with a blown on fire engine. I'm thankful I made it home before the vehicle cratered.Read more

I am writing to formally notify the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that Mercedes-Benz USA has failed to remedy a known safety defect within a reasonable amount of time, pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 30120. This notification is submitted in relation to the recall issued under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act regarding the high-voltage battery cells in the 2023 EQ
... B. The manufacturer has acknowledged that an internal short circuit within the battery cells may lead to a vehicle fire while driving or parked. Despite this, a timely and effective remedy has not been provided, leaving me to manage the following severe burdens: • Safety and Psychological Distress: Every time I operate this vehicle, I experience significant anxiety. My primary concern is the safety of my grandchildren; I am constantly haunted by the question of whether I could safely extricate them from the vehicle should it ignite while in motion. • Property and Liability Concerns: I am currently forced to park the vehicle away from other cars and structures to mitigate the risk of a conflagration. I am deeply concerned about my legal and financial obligations should the vehicle ignite and cause damage to third-party property or result in personal injury. • Diminished Performance: The vehicle currently exhibits a decreased mileage range, failing to meet the performance specifications promised at the time of lease. • Breach of Lease Terms: I am required to make full monthly lease payments as per my agreement. However, Mercedes-Benz is failing to uphold their portion of the contract by providing a vehicle that is safe, functional, and fit for its intended purpose. I request that the NHTSA investigate Mercedes-Benz’s delay in providing a definitive remedy and hold the manufacturer accountable for the loss of use and the inherent dangers posed by this defect. A car that "potentially could ignite into flames" at any moment is not a "remedied" vehicle under the law.Read more

Defect Description for NHTSA Complaint Intermittent but recurring failure of the Uconnect infotainment system and rearview backup camera on a 2025 Ram 1500. The defect occurs at vehicle startup and when shifting the transmission into reverse. Symptoms include: (1) the center console display freezes and becomes unresponsive; (2) the rearview backup camera fails to display an image when reverse is s
... elected, eliminating rear visibility required under FMVSS 111; (3) audio output cuts out completely; and (4) a loud electronic buzzing noise is frequently emitted from the dash or speakers during the failure. This is a safety-related defect because the rearview camera is inoperative at the exact moment it is federally required to function — when the driver shifts into reverse — creating a rear visibility hazard and increasing the risk of a backover incident involving pedestrians, children, or obstacles. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Ram dealer multiple times for this issue. The dealer previously replaced the center console display/head unit under warranty, but the defect has returned and continues to occur, indicating the root cause was not the display itself. The persistence of the failure after a hardware replacement suggests a systemic issue — likely related to Uconnect software, the CAN bus communication network, a wiring harness or ground fault, or another vehicle module — rather than an isolated component failure. No crash, injury, or fire has resulted, but the loss of the backup camera at the moment of reverse engagement presents an ongoing safety risk during every use of the vehicle.Read more

The integrated LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) strip within the passenger-side headlight assembly failed prematurely at 79,136 miles and remains available for inspection on the vehicle. This failure directly compromises road safety by reducing the vehicle's visibility to oncoming traffic during dawn, dusk, and inclement weather, increasing the risk of a head-on or intersection collision. While I h
... ave not yet obtained a formal dealership estimate, this is a known non-serviceable component that typically requires a full headlight assembly replacement costing upwards of $1,500 to $2,000. No warning lamps, messages, or symptoms like flickering occurred prior to the total failure. As this is a factory-installed safety component designed to last the life of the vehicle, its sudden failure suggests a widespread manufacturing defect in the LED circuitry. I took the vehicle in for recall last year and it would not work within 5 months and I saw a transmission warning something about tcm or tsm. About 4 weeks ago , I jumped the car battery and placed it into drive and within maybe 5 feet it stopped in the middle of the parking

I turned off the car and turned it back on and safely put it into reverse and quickly back into the parking spot otherwise it would have been stuck in the middle of the parking lot . I restarted the car and saw the same no gear found or detected warning message on my dash and when i put the car in drive the car would not move into any gear . The car is completely inoperable and EXTREMELY UNSAFE and this is due to the SECOND recall that has NO CURRENT FIX. When i contacted the mfg about the two recalls last year, they said that the second recall has no fix and nothing they could do. i can not afford a tow and owe payments. They said the battery was slightly low, but had sufficient charge. They changed the fob battery, and topped off the car battery. That was all. The next day was the episode where it died in the turn lane. I had it towed to the dealership. This time they changed the battery to a more high capacity battery, and admitted that these vehicles have a battery put in them at the manufacturer that is not strong enough for the systems it runs. I even found a service bulletin about it online, #TSB 07-218-23R. This should be a recall item, and they should have changed this battery at my first visit! My wife was driving the vehicle by the left lane on route 9A northbound on elmsford at a speed around 35 mph. The vehicle suddenly came to stop completely while driving. My wife tried to start it but it didn't start. We called the police to come help us due to the ongoing traffic while the towing was on its way. Our mechanic told us the engine was seized and needs a replacement. The vehicle is a

The turn signal flasher sound is so low that it is practically inaudible while driving and sometimes left on without notice. This confuses the cars from behind. Even worse, it confuses cars at the opposite direction in city driving. I have had a couple of incidents at busy intersection that the opposite direction car drivers thought I want to make a left turn but really not. The situation is get
... ting more dangerous on highway driving. With the turn signal left on without hearing the audible sound, cars from behind would think that I want to change lane. Some good drivers would slow down but some aggressive drivers would speed up and pass at very high speed. One would ask the turn signal lights should be flashing. Yes, it is but its position are at the top corners on the dashboard and blocked by the steering wheel. Most of the time I would stay focused on the road rather than looking at the dashboard. I had complained this to the Mercedes dealer at Princeton NJ as well as Mercedes itself in NJ but they said that it is designed as is and the volume of the turn signal cannot be adjusted.Read more

I PURCHASED THIS 2022 TUCSON LIMITED HYUNDAI NEW. IT HAS 25,000 MILES ON IT. THE CAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND A POWER REDUCTION BEGAN ALONG WITH SHAKING OF THE CAR. I WAS ABLE TO CLEAR THE INTERSECTION SAFELY. I WAS ABLE TO TURN INTO A SAFE SPOT AND SHUT DOWN THE CAR. IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO THEN INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS AN INJECTOR KNOW ISSUE FOR THIS YEAR AND WOULD BE COVERED UNDER
... THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY. HOWEVER, AS THIS IS A ENGINE/POWERTRAIN PROBLEM, IT SHOULD BE COVERED ON THE 100,000/TEN YEAR WARRANTY. A TSB (23-FL-002H-1) ALERT HAD ALREADY BEEN ISSUED, BUT NOT A RECALL. MANY OWNERS HAVE REPORTED HAVING THIS PROBLEM REPEATEDLY, AS A SAFETY ISSUE AND A KNOWN MFG DEFECT. WHEN IS THE GOVERNMENT GOING TO STEP UP AND DEMAND A REAL FIX BE DONE BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED? OWNER ARE CURRENT LEFT FIGHTING WITH THE DEALERS OVER THE WARRANTY LIMITS OR TAKING LEGAL ACTION. IF YOU GOOGLE THIS PROBLEM, YOU CAN FIND OUT THE NATIONAL LEVEL OF THIS PROBLEM, FROM ACCIDENTS WHICH CAUSED FIRES OR ACCIDENTS FROM POWER LOSS. MY CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALER WAITING ON PARTS. ITS TIME TO FORCE A RECALL! I WILL BE DEMANDING THAT IT IS COVERED FOR THE 10 YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD AND CONSIDERING TAKING ACTION UNDER THE LEMON LAWS. IF THE GOVERNMENT FAILS TO ACT ON THIS SOON, THAN THEY ARE JUST AS LIBEL AS THE MANUFACTURER. YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION TO THIS ISSUES IS REQUESTED.Read more

One day my truck drove perfect to, the next day while driving it starting losing power drastically on the highway and shuts off that i had to dead steer it to the shoulder.”engine power reduced/grinding/knocking sound came on. I brought it to my mechanic and he says change the engine he is seeing a common thing with these 2.7 liter from this truck model, i paid $6,500 to change it and it worked
... on the second hand motor that was put in. 4k miles later while driving from GA, i heard the same noises and the same message on the dash and the truck shuts off again in the lane and i had to steer it off to the shoulder. I towed it this time to tropical Chevrolet and paid diagnostic fee for them to look and tell me i need another engine that will run me over fourteen thousand dollars with parts and labor. I told them hey i just had this motor changed 4k miles ago can you figure out whats going on this is unsafe, best they could offer me is trade in the vehicle, no discount no recall no nothing. So i refused and towed it back to the mechanic who swapped it, he said i have warranty and he changed it to another motor and charged me $1,000 because the company he got the engine from said the truck overheated so they wont honor my warranty and he had to pay for it out of pocket…. Yeah! Any way i went to pick up the truck with now the 3rd motor in it and on the highway 5 minutes and 2.8 miles later(i have video proof of this) THE SAME THING HAPPENED! On the turnpike the message came up and the speed dropped no power, it didn't shut off this time but i pulled over safely, still no overheating, i made some videos and sent it to the guys at tropical Chevrolet and didn't even get a reply, i called the mechanic and he tells me to drive it back to him, i did, they did some test and cleared the codes, i drove to auto-nation chevrolet but talking with them led no where, i left, while at the gas pump i turned off the truck and it won’t turn back on now, so it’s towed back to the mechanicRead more

My engine light came on and stayed on. The vehicle also stalled twice when trying to drive home. I was already scheduled for my yearly inspection at the Ford dealership in Washington PA who said they would also check into this issue. The Ford dealership advised me that this was an emissions issue where the valve was sticking and it wouldn't pass inspection unless I paid to have a new valve put in
... and also have new tubing put in. I paid around $700 to have it all replaced and then it passed inspection. Now my sister who also has a 2023 Ford Sport Bronco is having the same issue and is scheduled for repair. Both my sister's and my vehicle have milage that is just over 36,000 miles. I will give her the phone number to call and report her issue as well. I feel this should be a recall issue.Read more

Our brakes are making a sound & rough when braking. The dealership has not evidently inspected as should until today, when we told them to look at. Now they say our rear brakes need replacing, they are at a 1 & need attention immediately. Front brakes are good at a 6. We questioned them with 60,303 & we have NEVER towed anything why the rear & not front, no explanation. I see in recalls/compla

Driving on the PA turnpike at speed with traffic and the engine lost power and started squealing. No lights came on, I was able to get to the side of the road and the truck shut off. When I restarted it, it sounded terrible. Had it towed to dealer and dealer stated that the engine had a terminal failure with the crank bearings and needs replaced. I was fortunate at the time of the issue that I was

I contacted Subaru in Mentor Oh at adventure subaru under TSB 19V065000 and was told to take it in to get looked at, my issue when I purchased the car at 67k miles i found that the car had a loud clunky sound while steering and going over bumps. After seeing the dealer and the stated the issue was from the steer rack and was exactly what was described exactly in the TSB but the only thing was they
... did not see a visible crack, the repair was denied. I then took the car to another dealer near Beavercreek oh after calling Subaru of America Case # [XXX]. Subaru of America was very certain that the repair was going to get performed. After going to the dealer it was yet again denied again, now it is outside the TSB warranty window. The car has had the entire suspension repaired and the noise is so bad and the steering doesn’t feel right. The car literally is unsafe to drive, i owe money to my loan company for 540 a month, the car just sits in the garage. I am sick of getting put through this nightmare. I want the part replaced or to get out of the loan completely and return the car to Subaru or the bank. Please help i have ran out of ideas. I do lots of driving and dying in a car accident scares me to death. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
