Bracket fell off of the exhaust pipe on my 2020 Chevrolet Traverse LT, which in turn cracked the exhaust pipe, making my car create this loud noise every time the car was accelerating.

This is the third time my brakes have failed while driving, which seems to have something to do with the 12-volt battery. At least at first, I disconnected my 12-volt battery and reconnected it; this fixed the issue, at least for a while. The other day, I was driving down a road near my house and the brakes failed right before I came around a bend. I had to quickly press the e-brake to slow down,
... or I would have run right off the road. This is definitely a dangerous issue. Please issue a recall for this because I've noticed many other people complaining about the same issue—the same sound, feeling, and symptoms. It appears the brakes are malfunctioning due to a communication error, or a low voltage issue to the brake computer systems?Read more

On December 13, 2025, we drove to Flagstaff, Arizona from Tucson, Arizona, where we live. As we came into town, the Bronco began to lurch and seemed to have difficulty shifting. I managed to make it to the Babbitt Ford service center’s parking lot, where it seized and died altogether. It stayed at Babbitt Ford where they worked on it until February 3, 2026. They replaced the transmission at grea
... t expense. On Feburary 3, we drove it home to Tucson. The next day, February 4, it died in the road twice, once in a major intersection. The first time it eventually resarted. The second time it died completely and required a special tow truck because we couldn't even get it into neutral to roll. It was towed to Holmes Tuttle Ford where they kept it for a week but were able to eventually restart it. They had it for 5 days, ran a diagnostic and reset the system. They drove it for over 80 miles and couldn’t recreate the problem. Then on February 25, I drove to Phoenix. While in Phoenix, it again inextricably had trouble shifting, died and wouldn’t start. I then had it towed to Camelback Ford. On March 6, Camelback Ford called and said they ran numerous tests and still can’t pinpoint the problem and the vehicle still won’t start or shift into neutral.Read more

Subject: Formal Complaint – Safety Issue, Repeated Repair Failure, and Dealer Negligence (BMW X7) To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a formal complaint regarding a serious and ongoing safety issue involving my BMW X7 (VIN: [XXX] ), as well as repeated failure by an authorized BMW dealership (Fields BMW Winter Park, Florida) to properly diagnose and repair the vehicle. Since purchase, the vehicl
... e has exhibited a persistent defect involving both rear tires losing air on a daily basis. This condition requires constant manual refilling and repeatedly triggers warning alerts on the vehicle dashboard. Despite bringing the vehicle to the dealership no fewer than five times for the exact same issue, the problem remains unresolved. This represents a clear failure to repair a recurring defect, and more importantly, a potential safety hazard, as tire pressure instability directly affects vehicle control and operational safety. Additionally, during a recent service visit, the vehicle was returned in worse condition than when it was delivered: The tire issue was not resolved; The tires were returned underinflated; A check engine light was activated, which was not present prior to service. This raises serious concerns regarding both the technical competence of the service provider and the adequacy of post-service quality control procedures. Separately, I previously owned a BMW X6 (VIN: [XXX] ), purchased at the same time, which also experienced service-related issues. Due to the overall pattern of poor service and lack of resolution, I have already replaced that vehicle with a Mercedes-Benz. At this stage, I have lost confidence in both the dealership and the manufacturer’s ability to ensure safe and reliable operation of the vehicle. Key concerns for this complaint include: Repeated failure to repair a known defect; Ongoing safety risk related to tire pressure loss; Vehicle returned in unsafe condition after service; Lack of responsiveness and resolution f INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIARead more

While taking off in my 2020 Toyota C-HR on the highway, the CVT transmission suddenly failed, resulting in an immediate and significant loss of propulsion power. The vehicle did not fully shut off but lost the ability to maintain normal highway speed, requiring me to rapidly reduce speed and carefully maneuver the vehicle to safety in active traffic conditions. This created a serious safety risk
... due to unexpected loss of acceleration and potential inability to maintain highway speed in traffic. The failure occurred at approximately 117,700 miles and shortly after purchase. The vehicle had a documented history of regular maintenance performed at Toyota dealerships approximately every 3,000 miles. I was later informed by Toyota service personnel that the vehicle had previously been documented on 2/2/26 in the manufacturer’s internal system with a CVT fault and a recommendation for transmission replacement prior to my purchase, which was not disclosed in any public vehicle history reporting system. This raises a major safety concern that the transmission failure may be part of a broader pattern of CVT reliability issues affecting this model and drivetrain family. I am submitting this complaint due to the sudden loss of propulsion at highway speed, which presents a potential safety hazard to drivers and surrounding traffic. And deceptive practices of undisclosed known safety issues by Toyota of USA.Read more

While driving my KIA Optima on the interstate the rear subframe suffered catastrophic structural failure, resulting in the steering wheel going out of alignment, the rear passenger side wheel tilting with the bottom of the tire being far out compared to the top. This resulted in the rear of the vehicle swaying side to side and being difficult to maintain in a straight path. This vehicle was prev
... iously serviced under KIA Campaign SC141 (internal subframe corrosion) at Griffin KIA on April 27, 2017. Despite this safety remedy being performed the subframe rotted through and snapped. This is a remedy failure. The anti-corrosion was applied by the manufacturer failed to prevent the exact structural failure it was designed to mitigate. I have physical evidence (Repair Order #92144) proving the remedy was performed and photographic/video evidence of the subsequent structural break. The manufacturer (KIA) has denied assistance, claiming the failure is "unrelated" to the corrosion campaign despite the part being the exact component covered by the campaign." SC141 involved the inject of wax into the metal components of the subframe of the vehicle and was KIA's response to the NHSTA's concerns about the metal components of their vehicles being unable to withstand salt in the Rust Belt states. The campaign only was for the vehicles in the rust belt states. KIA was very aware this was a safety issue and attempted to avoid a recall by issuing this campaign. The campaign failed and as a result my life was put at risk. I asked KIA for a good will repair of the rusted subframe but they refuse indicating the believe the part that clearly broke due to rust is unrelated to the safety campaign. Several of their employees stated it was very clear the part broke due to rust with one indicating he had a list of rusted parts needing replaced. I'd like the NHTSA to review this failed campaign and ensure the safety of all vehicles relying on this failed safety measure.Read more

This is a follow up to the above referenced case #XXX This has been reported to the Attorney General’s Office and they have requested that I send along the following information to your office. I purchased a 2022 Kia Telluride approximately 2 years ago. At the time, I also purchased a 100,000 mile extended warranty from KIA. The cost was $3,200. Since owning the vehicle, I have had a problem
... with the heating system. I contacted the Balise KIA dealership, West Springfield, MA where the car was purchased to have the heating system checked out. It is still not working correctly! The most recent attempt by KIA to fix the heat was 2/2/26 and was not successful. KIA stated “there is no fix”. Please refer to invoice #XXX. Driving a car with little or no heat is unacceptable. I was told that if there ever was a fix, the warranty would cover it. I was also charged a diagnostic fee of $159.95 which I paid, but did not agree with. This fee is charged if a customer decides against having the work done, which I agree with, but in this case, I wanted the work done, but they couldn’t do the work because there is no fix. If there was a fix, the warranty would have covered it. I feel this problem greatly reduces the value of this vehicle and some kind of resolution should be reached. I am [XXX] old and driving a vehicle that has little or no heat is not only uncomfortable, but unhealthy. I’ve been paying close attention to the heat when I’m in the car. It seems to work ok above 30 degrees, but below 30 degrees it doesn’t work properly. On April 8, 2026, I returned to my brand-new 2025 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited (purchased as a new ccar on February 10th 2026)_after being away from March 31 to April 6, 2026 (approximately 7 days of normal parking). ... located inside the cabin and were therefore inaccessible. Following the instructions in the owner’s manual, three adults attempted to remove the plastic cover over the mechanical keyhole on the driver’s door handle. None of us could pry or slide the cover off. Hyundai Roadside Assistance dispatched a locksmith. The locksmith had to use an air-inflation wedge tool to force the door open. Once inside, he pressed the interior 12V reset button and the vehicle then operated normally. This incident demonstrates a complete failure mode: the 12V system can die after only a short period of inactivity, and the mechanical emergency-access design makes it extremely difficult (or impossible for multiple people) to enter the vehicle without professional forced entry or risk of damage. The combination left me stranded with no practical way to regain access to my new car. I believe this is a safety-related defect because it creates an unreasonable risk of the driver being unable to enter or operate the vehicle after normal parking, potentially in emergency or critical situations. Hyundai has issued Service Campaign TEBA / TSB 25-01-076H for battery drain on 2025 Sonata Hybrids, but it does not address the mechanical key-cover access failure that turned the drain into a total lockout. It is also not clear the the TEBA is a complete solution to the battery drain problem.Read more

Turbocharger is defective. Reduced engine power. Engine Power reduced shows up on my dashboard. I bought the car brand new at Lindsey Buick in Ohio. This car is too young for this problem. Lindsey Buick and GM need to stand up to accountability and transparency when it comes to delivering top quality products. My vehicle almost caused a horrific accident by not accelerating fast enough. I a

When I put my car in Park, my car fails to detect it is in Park, leading to a persistent error message that tells me “Shift to Park”, inability to turn off the engine, and battery drain. I’ve had the car since Oct. 2020 and this car has been doing this since at least Oct. 2021.

While driving on the highway under normal conditions with no road hazards present, the engine under cover (part #51441-42210) detached from my vehicle and the bumper clips broke, causing both the under cover and bumper to become damaged and requiring replacement. There was no collision, no debris, no pothole, or any other road hazard involved. The failure occurred solely under routine highway driv
... ing conditions. Upon taking the vehicle to my Toyota dealership, the service team acknowledged this is a known and recurring issue with the bZ4X model. Research and owner forums confirm multiple 2023 bZ4X owners have experienced the identical failure — undercarriage cover and bumper detachment under normal driving and rain conditions. Toyota dealers have repeatedly told affected owners ‘this happens all the time,’ yet Toyota refuses to cover repairs under warranty, claiming it is not a manufacturing defect. I believe this represents a systematic design or manufacturing defect in the 2023 Toyota bZ4X. The undercarriage cover and bumper mounting system fails under normal driving conditions, which poses a safety risk to the driver and other vehicles on the road. I am requesting a formal investigation into this issue and urge NHTSA to consider a recall to protect other bZ4X owners.Read more

Idle start stop system was engaged at stop light. When I released the brake the van engine should have restarted - however the van completely died at this point. I had to wait about 10 seconds and then restart the entire car while sitting at the stop light. Very dangerous - the vehicle has also done this when at a stop light but cut off after I started to make a turn - leaving me in a dead vehicle

... on't crank, my safety is at risk. I had two Hyundai recalls updated in my car in 2022, Hyundai Recall 209 which was a connecting rod bearing test and my car passed so they installed the other Hyundai Recall 966 which was software update for the knock sensor detection system to alert the driver of future issues. Those issues are now current. The software is detecting a critical failure which is why the car is shutting off - entering limp mode, or the engine is failing. On April 9th through the 11th, 2026 my vehicle was inspected by a Hyundai dealership, where a technician identified a developing engine concern and advised me to continue driving the vehicle.
