Moon roof exploded while driving on highway. This is most likely due the to temperate glass used for the moon roof. No collision happened, no debris flying from somewhere else hit the glass, there was no cause for it shatter, the glass just exploded almost causing my family to get injured from glass shards falling down. Thankfully the cover was there and the moon roof wasn’t open.

My 2025 Honda Prologue is experiencing a consistent knocking/cracking noise when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, particularly during tight turns such as parking or exiting driveways. The noise appears to originate from the front axle or wheel area and is most noticeable when accelerating slightly while turning. The sound can be described as a series of clicks, pops, or clunks, and occurs
... intermittently on both left and right turns. This issue has been widely reported in 2024–2025 Prologue models and is commonly associated with potential CV joint or drive axle defects, where owners describe similar noises occurring early in the vehicle’s life and sometimes worsening over time.Read more

Driving on the highway and the top section of the grill (approx 4" x 50") broke loose and went over the cab of the truck. The piece didn't hit my truck or any other vehicle, but the driver behind me swerved to avoid it. All of the clips that hold the chrome piece to the vehicle are still attached to the body. I made contact with the local dealer's service dept. and was told my VIN was not in a

IF GM extends the recall to the other known issue model years I could be reimbursed. There seems to be numerous other complaints of this issue that aren't covered by GM.Read more

The failure involves the driver’s side door latch/lock assembly and emergency access system. Specifically, the mechanical emergency keys for the door did not function, and the door later did not fully close or seal due to two loose bolts near the lock. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This created a safety risk because I was unable to manually unlock the vehicle in an emerg
... ency when electronic systems could fail. Additionally, while driving, the driver’s door was not fully sealed and allowed wind into the cabin without triggering any warning alert, raising concern that the door was not securely latched. The issue was reproduced and confirmed by multiple authorized Volkswagen dealerships. In December 2025, a dealership confirmed that neither set of emergency keys worked. After replacement keys also failed, a faulty door lock cylinder was identified and replaced in March 2026. In April 2026, a new issue arose where the driver’s door was visibly not flush with the frame. A dealership technician identified and tightened two loose bolts in the door lock, which resolved the issue. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized Volkswagen service departments on multiple occasions. No inspection by police or insurance representatives occurred. There were no warning lights, alerts, or messages from the vehicle prior to or during either failure. The issues first appeared in December 2025 (emergency key failure) and again in April 2026 (door not properly sealing). Based on repeated failures and repairs involving the same door/lock, I believe there may be a defect related to the door latch/lock system or prior repair work that impacts safe operation and emergency access.Read more

Vehicle, a 2018 Ford Edge SEL, recently experienced misfiring and overheating with the "check engine" light illuminated. Took the vehicle to an automotive repair shop and, after performing diagnostics, they advised the vehicle's engine coolant is leaking into the cylinders, which was the subject of a prior Technical Service Bulletin #19-2208 from Ford, and is a KNOWN DESIGN DEFECT with the 2.0L E
... coBoost engine produced by Ford for this and other model vehicles. After researching this issue I determined it was the subject of a prior recall, technical service bulletin, and class action lawsuit which lead Ford to offer free repairs of the engine block and extended warranty coverage to affected vehicle owners. WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL, TSB, OR CLASS ACTION and, therefore, were not aware of the problem and unable to take advantage of any corrective program. Now, Ford Customer Service and the Ford dealership are both refusing to effect the necessary repairs without cost to me. The vehicle's ENGINE has an ACKNOWLEDGED DESIGN FLAW that can cause misfires, hydro-locking, overheating, and total engine failure with a fire risk. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety risks to the driver, occupants and others is obvious. The problem has been confirmed by a Firestone automotive repair shop. No other inspections have occurred due to a fear of driving the vehicle. The "check engine" light did activate when the problem first occurred, approximately 5 days ago (04/29/2026).Read more

The v3.8.11 update is known to overwrite the measured state of health of the emergency backup battery, artificially timing it out after 5 years regardless of its actual physical health. The PODS system that the dealer just serviced actively talks to the vehicle's Supplemental Restraint System. Dear Sir, I currently own a 2017 GMC Denali that had a potentially catastrophic failure with one of the alloy wheels that are on my vehicle. Mileage about 110,000 I recently went to have new tires installed on my vehicles when the tire shop manager came from the work area and said that he could not put a new tire on my one wheels. The reason the tire store could not put a tire on that wheel is
... because two of the spokes on the alloy wheel were broken. There were three spokes between the broken spokes. The are 12 spokes on the wheel and the two broken spokes were non adjoining. They were not next to each other. There were good spokes between the broken spokes. With a close inspection of the wheel there is no scuffing or impact damage to the wheel either on the outside of the wheel or the inside that would cause this failure. The spokes just cracked. The fact that the two broken spokes are not next to each other would seem to indicate that this was a manufacturing defect. I am writing to go on record of this failure of the alloy wheel on my truck. If someone would like to inspect the wheel, please contact me to arrange for a time to look at it. I have attached pictures of the wheel with the broken spokes. Regards, [XXX] You can see the cracked spokes at the 12:00 and 7:00 position on the wheel towards the center of the wheel. At 87,336 miles, my 2017 Ford F-150 (3.5L EcoBoost) would not start. The engine clicked and buzzed but failed to turn over, leaving me stranded with no warning. There was no prior check engine light. I brought the truck to Roy Hendrick Automotive in [XXX] (Invoice XXX, completed 03/05/2025). Their diagnosis determined the cam phasers and timing components had failed. The shop performed a full ti
... ming chain and cam phaser replacement, including both camshaft sprockets, timing chains, tensioners, timing chain guides, variable timing solenoids, water pump, seals, gaskets, and spark plugs. Total cost: $5,449.36, entirely out of pocket. This is a serious safety defect. Cam phaser failure in the 3.5L EcoBoost can cause catastrophic loss of engine timing, resulting in sudden engine stall or failure to start. A stall at highway speed, in an intersection, or while merging creates an immediate risk of collision, serious injury, or death. Even a no-start condition is a safety issue when it strands a driver in an unsafe location. I use this vehicle daily to transport my two young children (ages [XXX] and [XXX] ) to and from daycare. A sudden engine failure while driving with them in the vehicle could have had fatal consequences. Ford's 3.5L EcoBoost cam phaser failures are extensively documented, with numerous TSBs and owner complaints on file. An engine should not require over $5,000 in internal timing repairs before 100,000 miles. Ford has failed to issue a recall or provide an adequate remedy. I am filing this complaint to ensure NHTSA has a complete record of another 3.5L EcoBoost timing failure that put vehicle occupants, including small children, at risk. "What component malfunctioned...?" - Electrical system (suspected) "How was safety put at risk?" - We were unaware if the dashboard instruments were reading correctly. We also couldn't lock/unlock the doors or open/close the windows. The tailgate would also not open. "Has problem been reproduced?" - Not yet - plan to have the service center inspect. "Has vehicle been inspected by the manufac
... turer?" - No "Were there warning messages or symptoms?" - Yes, when the issue occurred. The vehicle reported 13 warnings/alerts. Happened for the first time on 5/2/2026 GENERAL DESCRIPTION: While the vehicle is parked or idling after sitting for a period of time, the dashboard suddenly displays approximately 13 warning alerts simultaneously, including a message stating "Check Emergency Stopping function" among others. During this condition, multiple vehicle systems become inoperative, including: - Power windows - could not open/close - Door locks - could not lock/unlock - Tailgate operation - could not open (it was closed) The vehicle appears to experience a system-wide electronic failure affecting both body controls and safety systems. The condition is intermittent but has occurred multiple times. Restarting the vehicle does NOT immediately resolve the issue. After driving for a period of time, the vehicle eventually returns to normal operation. This is a safety concern because: - Critical safety systems (automatic emergency braking / driver assist features) are (potentially) disabled - Basic vehicle functions (locks/windows) are unavailable. This is a concern if the door can't be opened and one needed to exit through the window in an emergency. - The failure occurs without warning and cannot be reliably reproduced on demand This appears to be a broader electrical or communication system failure rather than a single component issue.Read more

I am reporting a safety concern following an over-the-air (OTA) recall update (Hyundai Recall #296) on my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy AWD (software version 263Q.LX3.USA.ccNC.001.001.260326). I understand this recall was issued in response to a fatal incident involving the second-row seat system, which is why this issue is especially concerning. Since the update, the second-row walk-in seat f
... unction used for third-row access is not operating correctly. When I press the button near the headrest, the seat does not move fully forward, and I have to use the manual slide forward/back button to move it the rest of the way. When returning the seat, it does not go all the way back, and the seatback remains tilted forward at about a 70–80 degree angle instead of returning to its normal upright position, requiring manual adjustment using the recline button. In addition, during one occurrence when the second-row seat was activated, the front passenger seat moved slightly on its own without any input. This unexpected movement of another seat is especially concerning. This behavior began only after the recall update and appears to be a malfunction, possibly related to seat calibration or software coordination between seat systems. This creates a potential safety issue involving unintended seat movement and improper seat positioning.Read more

Complaint: While driving at normal road speed with no collision or impact, I experienced a sudden loud “pop” from the driver-side seatbelt area. Immediately after, I noticed a burning smell coming from the same location. I initially believed I had a tire blowout and pulled over to inspect the vehicle. When I attempted to unbuckle and then re-extend the seatbelt, I found that the seatbelt was
... locked and would not retract or extend normally. The restraint system is now inoperable. This incident appears to be an inadvertent deployment of the seatbelt pretensioner without a crash event, resulting in a restraint system malfunction. The failure occurred during normal driving conditions and without any external trigger. This creates a serious safety risk because: * The seatbelt is no longer functional and cannot properly restrain the occupant * The unintended deployment could startle the driver and lead to loss of vehicle control * The presence of a burning smell raises concern for thermal or electrical hazard within the restraint system I am aware of similar complaints involving unintended seatbelt pretensioner deployment in Ford Expedition vehicles of similar model years. This incident should be investigated as a potential defect affecting occupant restraint systems. I’ve contacted ford with no help to resolve the issue Injury: No Crash: No Fire: No (burning odor present, no visible flames) Speed at time of incident: 35 Mileage at time of incident: 170xxx The vehicle’s seatbelt system remains in a failed/locked condition and requires repair.Read more
