On February 13, 2026, ALM [XXX] [XXX] ) sold me a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer (VIN: [XXX] ) with Federal Safety Recall 88C (NHTSA Campaign 25V-642 — rear quarter window trim detachment, road hazard risk) open and unrepaired at the time of sale. This recall was not disclosed to me during the sale process, which was conducted remotely. I discovered the open recall only after taking delivery of the vehicl
... e. Owner notification letters for Recall 88C were mailed beginning February 19, 2026 — six days after my purchase. ALM CDJR had knowledge of this recall prior to sale and chose not to disclose it or complete the repair before delivery. The recall has since been completed by a different dealer (Farris Motor Company, Jefferson City, TN). However, ALM CDJR's sale of a vehicle with a known open federal safety recall without disclosure is a dealer compliance violation I am formally reporting to NHTSA. I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious mechanical and safety issue involving my 2019 BMW X3. On or around January 21, 2024, while driving from my home, a warning signal suddenly appeared on my dashboard related to the vehicle’s cooling system/engine. Due to safety concerns, I pulled into a nearby Wawa parking lot, which was the safest available place to stop at the time. I turned the
... vehicle off and waited approximately 15 minutes before carefully driving the vehicle back home. After inspection and diagnosis, I was informed that the vehicle required extensive repairs, including an engine replacement and cooling system repairs. At the time the coolant warning appeared, the replacement engine reportedly had approximately 59 miles on it. I believe a sudden engine or cooling system malfunction while operating a vehicle presents a serious safety concern for drivers, passengers, and others on the roadway. In addition, I experienced issues involving the shark fin antenna on the vehicle, which I understand may be connected to broader complaints involving BMW vehicles. I am requesting that NHTSA review this matter to determine whether these issues may indicate a broader defect or safety-related concern affecting other consumers. I am willing to provide supporting documentation including repair invoices, dealership records, photographs, and any additional information requested. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your commitment to vehicle safety.Read more

Additional structural damage includes: -Shearing of a structural fastener/bolt -Visible separation and movement of frame members under hitch load -Bent and misaligned I-beam near the suspension/equalizer area The failure directly affects the towing connection and structural integrity of the vehicle and creates a serious roadway safety hazard, including potential towing instability or possible hitch/detachment risk. The RV has not been involved in an accident and has not been knowingly overloaded. The failure appears related to a structural/load path defect involving the frame design, material integrity, and/or structural fatigue in a critical towing area. The unit is currently unsafe to tow. My vehicle has an ongoing safety‑critical defect involving the braking system, powertrain, and ADAS logic. I have not driven the vehicle since 04/27/2026; all diagnostic trouble codes were recorded while the vehicle was in the dealership’s possession. On 05/05/2026, the vehicle stored multiple DTCs, including C164286, P071300, P076800, U060FF1, U060F29, and U061386. On 05/13/2026, P071300, P07
... 6800, U060FF1, U060F29, and U061386 were recorded again, showing repeated powertrain, communication, and control‑system faults while the vehicle remained with the dealer. On 05/22/2026, two additional safety‑related DTCs (P107600 and C272146) were first recorded, and both were last reported again on 05/27/2026, still while the vehicle was in dealer custody. These DTCs now show as Historical because the vehicle has not been operated since the last fault was recorded. Their Historical status only means the system has not run a new check — it does not mean the defect is repaired. The vehicle has also exhibited brake‑logic abnormalities, including a persistent Brake‑ON signal at highway speeds, which violates Brake‑Throttle Override safety logic and affects ADAS functions. The powertrain shows signs of torque converter instability, mechanical drag, abnormal slip, and heat buildup documented across these dates. Two OTA updates were performed during periods of instability, but neither corrected the defect. The dealership has not provided documentation confirming the safety issues were resolved. Because the braking logic, powertrain behavior, and repeated DTC activity remain unexplained and unresolved, I do not believe the vehicle is safe to operate.Read more

After trying transmission and other fluid flushes without luck, we took the car to a local Hyundai dealer. They said they were unable to replicate the issue but we told them to please replace the crankshaft position sensor, which they finally did. We were charged a total of $711.40 for this repair of a simple part. Please note, another Hyundai dealer in town replaced this part for my brother's vehicle free of charge. This should be a recall item for this vehicle and it should be replaced for free. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
