There is a cover over the bar that divides the sunroof that has come off. This is only held on with two-sided tape. It will not stay in place. SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD: CASCADING ELECTRICAL FIRE RISK. My 2019 Ram 1500 suffered a catastrophic electrical failure while driving. The alternator's voltage regulator melted, overcharging the system and causing the battery to boil and vent toxic sulfuric acid fumes into the cabin, creating an immediate respiratory and fire hazard. This is the direct result of Manufacturer Defect XL1/XG1 (Rear Windo
... w Leak). I have physical dealer records proving Westgate Ram held this vehicle for 19 days in Aug 2022 to fix Water Leak Code 09H2OLEAK. They returned the vehicle claiming it was fixed, but I have geolocated photos showing the window leaking heavily just 17 days later. Because the leak was never resolved, water continuously entered the rear cabin, corroding the RF Hub and creating a parasitic drag that destroyed the electrical grid. CRITICAL NEGLIGENCE: On June 1, 2026, Stellantis Corporate (Case XXX) acknowledged the severity of the fire risk by immediately inquiring if Emergency Services had been contacted, yet subsequently refused to offer a safety tow. When I attempted to escalate, their agents [XXX] , [XXX] , [XXX] , [XXX] ) refused to provide IDs. Furthermore, my phone number is now being rejected by their system; calls to their support line immediately fail or disconnect, leaving a fire-risk vehicle stranded at my residence with no recourse. Year/Make/Model: 2018 Kia Niro Hybrid Mileage at time of incident: approximately 69,000 Component: Hybrid Propulsion System / Powertrain My 2018 Kia Niro Hybrid has experienced five recurring "Hybrid System Failure — Turn Off Engine" errors occurring without warning while the vehicle was being operated. Each occurrence rendered the gas engine ineffective in moving the vehicle, creating an imme

The vehicle has been brought to the dealership four times for this issue — February 25, May 4, May 15, and May 30, 2025. On May 30 the dealer performed a repair they stated would resolve the problem. The vehicle was returned the same day. On May 31, one day later, the error occurred again. The defect remains unresolved after four service visits. Out-of-pocket towing and rental car costs have been incurred each time. I believe this defect is related to the hydraulic clutch actuator issue covered under Kia recall SC276 and the active class action lawsuit (FeganScott v. Kia/Hyundai). The recall repair has not resolved the problem.Read more

Recall 26V237 / Ford 26S28** Vehicle 2015 Ford F 150 VIN: [XXX] Recall Reference NHTSA Recall: 26V237 Ford Recall: 26S28 Summary of Safety Issue My vehicle has begun experiencing the exact defect described in Recall 26V237. The truck has twice downshifted unexpectedly to a much lower gear while traveling at approximately 35–40 mph. Both events caused abrupt deceleration and a momentary loss
... of rear wheel traction. Events • Two unintended downshifts in the past two weeks • Speeds approximately 35–40 mph • Abrupt wheel speed reduction consistent with recall description • Rear tires briefly slid until speed decreased • “Check Engine” light illuminated • Powertrain warning indicators present Diagnostic Findings My independent mechanic retrieved five powertrain related error codes. He confirmed the codes align with the recall condition and that the downshifting behavior is consistent with a transmission control module fault. Safety Concern The recall notice states that this defect “may result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.” Because the issue has already occurred twice at moderate speeds, I am concerned that a recurrence at highway speeds could lead to loss of control. Remedy Delay Ford and my local dealer (Colorado Springs, CO) informed me that the software remedy will not be available until June 30, 2026. The recall notice states that the remedy is “not yet available.” Current Status Given the active defect, warning lights, and repeat occurrences, I believe the vehicle may be unsafe to operate. I am considering parking the truck until a remedy is available. Request to NHTSA I am reporting this because: • The defect is already occurring • The recall remedy is delayed • The vehicle may be unsafe to drive • I want this documented in case the issue is more widespread or requires interim action I am requesting NHTSA review this case and determine whether additional guidance or action is appropriate. Upon starting my Jeep on the coldest day of the year back in January when I pressed the brake pedal to start it there was a loud and it reminded me, there was a recall out for the break booster pop and the pedal went all the way to the floor. It was fifteen below zero out.So I thought that it blew a brake line. I checked the lines going to all four.Wheels and could not find any fluid. I could not
... figure out where all the fluid went. I refilled the reservoir with two full cans of brake fluid. Tried pumping the pedal and again it went to the floor. Got out and inspected all lines and the reservoir itself.... Still could not find a leak. I googled the problem and saw a recall for the brake booster. Said it was installed incorrectly and water could enter the booster and master cylinder and freeze if cold outside and cause a serious accident causing serious injury or death. I inspected the system and water had entered the booster and master cylinder and froze. It ruined the master cylinder. I asked the dealership if they would pick up the vehicle and repair it. First they said yes then no they don't pick vehicles up. They ordered only a little shield to fix the booster per the recall but said that's all they would do. Why would I pay $200 out of my pocket to have the vehicle taken to them.Only to have them put a shield on the booster. I still would have no brakes. That is ridiculous. This is supposed to be a major safety issue. And it is! If I had been driving when I pressed on the brake pedal and it went to the floor I could have been killed or other innocent people could have been killed. You the NHTSA 's answer said Chrysler is contractually. Obligated to not only pick up my vehicle but to repair any and all components of the brake system to return the vehicle to previous safety operation at no charge to me. You also said that I should be given a loaner vehicle to use while mine is repaired. Dealership is refusing. I could be dead and so could other innocent peopleRead more

On one occasion while his daughter was driving and turning the vehicle on a curved road, the vehicle veered into oncoming traffic. The contact stated that she managed to get the vehicle back to the correct side of the road, then stopped and inspected the vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to an auto parts store where a handheld diagnostic machine was used, but the failure was not detected. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact believes that the steering failure was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V144 (Steering). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. We purchased our 2021 Highlander XLE in the spring of 2024. It came with a powertrain warranty up to 60,000 miles. Unfortunately for us, we're at 65,000 miles and recently started hearing a high-pitched, whining noise when we accelerate. We took it to the Toyota dealership and they told us we need the transmission replaced. A new transmission is around $9,000, before taxes and service fees. We
... haven't had any other issues and haven't had an accident. There's already a class-action lawsuit against Toyota regarding their Highlander models having UA80 transmission issues. Because of this, we called corporate in hopes they will pay for it under their Goodwill Assistance program. However, because we never had the Highlander serviced at a Toyota dealership before, they told us they won't cover anything. We've routinely serviced this vehicle. We happened to purchase it at a Nissan dealership, so getting maintenance at Toyota didn't cross our minds. Regardless of where we got the car serviced, it's obvious there's a recurring problem with the Highlander's transmission that Toyota has refused to acknowledge, which is costing consumers around $9,000 apiece. We feel cheated by Toyota, and we hope they eventually have to make things right.Read more
