It was initially thought that a software update would resolve the problem, but that did not work. After the software update was completed, a new "parktronic" module was installed. That also did not solve the issue. I am now being advised that the car is issuing fault codes related to the airbag system. It seems that there are some serious electrical problems that are plaguing the vehicle. The car was at 70% Power and in Earth mode when all of this happened. Other issues that happened during this drive: Key Fob wouldn't work several times – car wouldn't lock or open after multiple attempts to use the lock/unlock button and even holding the fob on the door handle took time for the car to recognize. Usually it is in seconds, it was taking 20+ seconds. Park brake malfunction (flashing) when I was trying to park the car at the parking lot This is a serious safety issue – we were lucky we were able to coast down the road and were in a parking lot but if we had been on the interstate or the curvy 55 mph roads by my house a serious accident could have happened. In addition to the above – I've had several other issues making the car undriveable since I got it. Cross members are rusting through.

I've driven all kinds of cars in all kinds of conditions and in many countries in the nearly 32 years I've been a licensed driver and have never lost control of a vehicle, I'm sure the steering or lane assist was trying to intervene so must've somehow inadvertently caused the crash! I put the auto reverse on and the car ran into a wall. I tried to discuss with bmw and they stated the car performed appropriately and they are stating I had to take over when it ran into the wall. I couldn’t react fast enough as the car ran into the wall quickly. They have since said they will not take responsibility for the accident.

Any time I'm driving in wet or slightly slick weather conditions, the regenerative braking on my Fisker causes the brakes to lock up and instantly lose control. Even at very slow speeds. The light of the air bag would be on stating that it was not on and then go off completely in different situations. Never once did I receive a letters from the manufacturer stating the recall.

We had issues with the car from the day it arrived ranging from the key fob not working to multiple warning lights that interrupted the regenerative braking. Despite multiple tickets filed, Fisker was unresponsive. After about two weeks of owning the car (less than 250 miles on a brand new vehicle), the car went unresponsive while driving despite having a full charge and no warning/issue alerts. T
... he car shifted itself into neutral and when the driver tried to put the car in park to get out of the car and see what was wrong, the car started to roll forward despite being in park. To stop the car from hitting oncoming traffic, the driver was able to get back in the car and manually depress the brake. Once the driver hit the brakes, the car stopped rolling forward, however the car remained unresponsive to any of the other gears. To get out of the street, the driver used the momentum of the roll forward to try to make a slight turn back into the neighborhood street however ran out of momentum and got stuck in the middle of the street again with the car now rolling backwards. The driver hit the brakes again to prevent the rollback and because the car was unresponsive, the driver was stuck holding the brake from 7:21 AM to around 8:45 AM. At 7:37 AM the car went black and many of the controls started to glitch (we have videos but the uploader tool is limited to photos only) Due to the car now being completely blacked out, the brake is very heavy and the slightest movement will cause a rollback. After several attempts to get ahold of Fisker including their roadside assistance and live chat, the driver was unable to get help and called the police instead. The car had to be towed and has been out of commission ever since. A Fisker technician has tried to diagnose the issues after three attempts but things are still unresolved. Fisker remains unresponsive and hasn’t even provided us with documentation of the service diagnostics despite repeated requests.Read more

Driving down side road about 35-40 MPH with my son, hit a hole in road. Car made a loud boom with immediate signs of problem. (No airbag deploy or warning signs showing on app or on dash) Pulled over to find no issue with tires, body of car or rims of tire. (I realize hitting a hole can cause damage but this seems to be a design flaw and I am worried now every time I hit a bump it will trigger this. I get tire/rim damage, but this is pretty significant.) I have an insurance adjuster looking at it now, notified Genesis Corporation and spoke to the Dealer who claims it's an insurance claim. In my research I have found a forum indicating this has happened to others and Genesis hasn't provided a recall or notified users of this as a safety concern. The pictures and description are consistent across the drivers. I just think this is something that needs to be researched before someone gets seriously hurt.Read more

Driving down the highway, I noticed my steering wheel was loose. As I continued driving the steering wheel became more loose. It was difficult to steer, I had to hold the steering wheel tight to the column in order to keep control. I was 2 miles from home when it became this bad. I slowed downand was able to manuever into the driveway. I had the truck towed to Caskinette Ford in Carthage, NY.
... I am awaiting information on what part failed and allowed the steering wheel to become loose. I am lucky I was able to maintain the vehicle in the lane and was not towing at this time. I could have easily lost control and been in a serious situation with myself, my family, and other vehicles on the roadway. There were no warning lamps of any kind. The dealer indicated that the necessary repair would be an entire engine replacement and was quoted $10,000 dollars.
