We have experienced a consistent issue on a local street by our elementary child's school. We have contacted Fisker no fewer than 5-6 times since December 2023 about this issue. Fisker has consistently stated that an upcoming over the air (OTA) software update would fix this issue. We are currently on OS 2.0 and the issue still persists. As the vehicle is going down a low grade hill towards a
... stop sign there is uneven pavement in the roadway. As we apply the brake petal on this uneven payment the Fisker Ocean One software gets confused and the car lurches forward as the ABS and emergency braking try to sort out the issue. Its very rattling as a driver to have this occur. Thankfully there hasn't been a car close enough in front of us or else we may have rear ended that vehicle. At times there is a crossing guard inside the box to direct traffic which is approximately 25-30 yards away. We have noticed this occurs both with the crossing guard and without the crossing guard in the active roadway. Not only is the crossing guard at risk but the students who are crossing the street to and from the school. The road is one lane each way so its not possible to avoid the uneven payment. The ADAS warning has also appeared on the digital dashboard with the earlier software (OS 1.1) numerous times and the infotainment screen would go blank for 24-36 hours with no explanation. As a driver you are not sure if this is "critical" or an on-going software issue.Read more

The Fisker Ocean is an unsafe vehicle. In the two and a half months I have owned the vehicle, I have experienced the following serious safety issues that have put other vehicles and my self at risk: - The vehicle will accelerate unexpectedly, nearly causing me to crash into a vehicle ahead of me on one occasion and almost run into oncoming traffic in another occasion. - Blind spot protection is in
... accurate and frequently will not be available. - Lane keeping assistance overcorrects such that it has caused me in multiple occasions to swerve then I have to overcorrect and have nearly missed hitting other vehicles. - ADAS system features (collision warning, front and rear cameras, paying attention) frequently unavailable or misreport problems, causing me to panic trying to figure out what is wrong. The vehicle has been serviced on three occasions by the manufacturer and is awaiting a fourth (no date provided). Fisker has reported no solve for the acceleration and has said the last update would correct ADAS issues but has not. The issues started almost immediately upon delivery of my vehicle. The issues happen at all speeds, and I cannot predict when. I am happy to provide service records but Fisker has not properly documented that they addressed in service visits, but I do have in email.Read more

When driving and releasing the accelerator, the regen kicks in to slow the car and provide deceleration and regeneration. During this time, you can feel the brake pedal vibrate. When allowing regen to kick in and suddenly driving over a bump or uneven surface, the regen turns off, and thus, the car gets pushed forward suddenly as the part of deacceleration coming of the regen is not present. This
... ultimately translates into an increase in the stopping distance since the driver is under the assumption that the regen braking is going to be present. To compensate, when using the manual brake pedal, suddenly, the car responds by activating the ABS and momentarily continuing forward at a slightly faster speed for a few feet. In addition, with 2.0, it has been observed that the current braking is a mix of manual brakes and regen brakes. You can see while the system is working, your brake pedal is being compressed automatically while the regen is also being active. when driving over an even surface, the regen gets deactivated, and the brake pedal remains compressed and does not come back up as quickly as it should; it appears that during this time, you are basically pressing the pedal, and there is essentially no regen brakes working, and the manual brakes appear to be activating. Compounding my concerns are the numerous warning messages that have appeared on the vehicle's dashboard, including "Auto Emergency Braking unavailable - Drive carefully" and "Brake system malfunction - Service is required", "Lane Keep Assistance Deativated" "Front Facing Collision Camera Fault". No service tickets have been provided to track, and no prior tickets for vent issues have been addressed. Poor communication and service provided into evaluating and addressing these concerns and braking issues.Read more

I have severe safety concerns about the malfunction of the vehicle’s regenerative braking system. Since I purchased the car, it has unexpectedly lurched forward during stop-and-go traffic on several occasions. This sudden and unpredictable acceleration poses a clear risk of collision and injury to both the vehicle’s occupants and other road users. Despite multiple attempts over the past six mo
... nths, Fisker has been unable to diagnose and repair this braking defect. As a result, I am left with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate under normal driving conditions. Fisker’s failure to address this problem promptly raises concerns about a potentially widespread defect affecting other 2023 Fisker Ocean vehicles." I have a 2021 Chevy Blazer which has had to have two radiators replaced with less than 50,000 miles on the vehicle. The first time was in March of 2023. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and the technician told me the radiator was cracked and all of the coolant was drained from the vehicle. It must have just run out because I regularly check my fluids and the vehicle was not overheating prior
... to the appointment. The vehicle had about 32k miles on it, so the radiator was covered under warranty. Now in April of 2024 with 49k miles, I take my vehicle in for another oil change and the radiator is cracked, again, with coolant leaking. The technician told me two things that are concerning about this. 1.) This is a known issue on the Blazers that they’ve done multiple repairs on. 2.) There is a piece of plastic under the radiator that catches the coolant when it leaks, making it hard to notice an issue because the coolant doesn’t pool on the ground underneath. My service advisor went to bat for me against GM, who partially paid for the second radiator. This brought my installation cost to $235, even though it was no longer under warranty. Radiators cracking is a serious safety issue because if the driver doesn’t notice the engine overheating, it could cause a vehicle fire putting the occupants and surrounding environment in danger. There are no warning lights on the vehicle to tell you if there is low coolant, other than noticing the temperature gauge when it is too late. I don’t know if GM didn’t install rubber bushings to absorb the impact of bumps on the road, or if it needs some rubber washers on the bolts, but something is missing. Online forums will confirm that this is an ongoing issue for owners of the Chevy BlazerRead more

Dear National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, I wish to report critical safety issues with my 2021 Ford Expedition Max. The primary concern involves the vehicle’s electrical system, which has repeatedly malfunctioned, causing complete vehicle shutdown while in motion. 1.Failed Component/System: The electrical system has failed, characterized by flickering lights followed by total loss o
... f power. The exact failing component within the system remains unidentified as diagnostics have not yielded error codes. 2.Safety Risks: These malfunctions have endangered my family’s safety by causing unexpected vehicle shutdowns, potentially leading to accidents, especially concerning because it happened once while exiting our driveway. 3.Dealership and Independent Service Confirmation: The issue has been examined by Kendall Ford in Prineville and an independent service center, neither of which has been able to replicate or diagnose the problem successfully. 4.Inspections and Confirmations: The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by certified Ford technicians without conclusive results. No external inspections by police, insurance, or other entities have occurred. 5.Warning Signs and Symptoms: Prior to these failures, there were no warning lamps or messages. The symptoms, including flickering vehicle lights, appeared suddenly and without prior indication. This vehicle’s reliability is compromised due to these unresolved electrical issues, and I am concerned it represents a broader safety risk for similar models. I urge the NHTSA to investigate these problems to prevent potential harm to other consumers. On [XXX], the vehicle shuttered to a stop in the middle of traffic. Multiple events occurred sometime between [XXX]am and [XXX]am. On [XXX], the vehicle again shuttered to a stop, 2 times on the way home, again in the middle of traffic.
