On multiple occasions, while driving on the freeway, the vehicle experienced a clunking noise and complete loss of propulsion. Safety was put at risk as the vehicle had to navigate off to the shoulder of the freeway at a speed significantly slower (due to no acceleration available) than traffic with reduced braking capability. Once on the shoulder the vehicle needs to be turned off then on agai

This issue seemed to go away after an ICCU fix was applied, but came back after the ICCU recall was recently applied. Stopping without notice can cause an accident and any of the issues can cause safety issues. What I sent them. I am writing to express my concerns regarding a series of issues with my 2017 BMW 740i and to request your assistance in resolving these matters. I have been working with my local BMW dealership to address several problems, but I believe there may be underlying issues that require furth
... er attention. I would appreciate it if you could review my case and consider the points outlined below. Background: Recently, my vehicle was brought in for service to replace the spark plugs and address a few concerns, including the replacement of the fuel tank cover. During this visit, it was discovered that the pressure control valve was faulty and needed replacement. I was not previously informed of any issues with the pressure valve, and I have learned that BMW has issued an extended warranty on this part due to known faults. My understanding is that a faulty pressure valve can cause erratic fuel pressure, leading to premature spark plug failure. Given that my car has only been driven about 8,000 miles annually and is used weekly, not sitting idle for long periods, the spark plugs should still have life left. However, they may have worn prematurely due to the pressure valve issue. Concerns: Pressure Control Valve and Spark Plug Failure: It is highly unusual for three spark plugs to fail simultaneously, as spark plugs generally wear out gradually over time. In most cases, one spark plug would fail before the others if there were a gradual wear issue. The simultaneous failure of three spark plugs suggests a potential underlying issue, such as a problem with the ignition system, electrical issues, or a direct result of a faulty pressure control valve. I request that BMW cover the replacement cost of the spark plugs under the extended warranty for the pressure valve, considering the potential causation between these issues. Hard Jerk WhenRead more

My 2014 Ford F150 was recalled for an intermittent failure of the output speed sensor (OSS) in the transmission. The recall was performed by Crossroads Ford of Apex (North Carolina) on [XXX]. When I made the appointment (which wasn't until 2 weeks from the time I called), I was told it would take approximately 3 hours however it was ready in 30 minutes. Since the recall was performed, twice the "

I explained about the wrench and he said I I would need a diagnostic performed, that it sounded like the 'mainframe in the transmission' was bad. He redirected me to the scheduler and I was given November 19, 2024 as the first available date. I was told my other options were to try another Ford dealership to see if they could see me sooner or just drop my truck off at Crossroads and they would work it in as soon as they could but that could take 5 -6 days and if it needed repairs they were not sure how long they would have my truck. I called 2 other Ford dealerships and was offered sooner dates however I would have to pay for the diagnostic and any repairs as deemed necessary. I asked even if it was related to the recall and was told yes because the recall for my truck had been closed by Crossroad Ford. My only recourse was to go back to Crossroads Ford and see if there was a warranty on the recall they performed. I called Crossroads Ford on Tuesday, August 22, 2024 and relayed the information I had received from the other dealerships. I was informed that Tony said I would have to pay for the diagnostic and repairs, there was no warranty on the recall. I was driving slowly yesterday in a parking lot area and the electrical system on my 2019 CRV Touring sent messages that the brakes, power steering, and engine were shutting down. I called the dealer who was nearby and they said if I could drive it, to try to get to the dealership. I wa
... s less than a mile away, so I was able to drive it very slowly without complete power steering. I was told that all of the electrical signals and shut-downs were due to a fuel injector defect and that I would need all fuel injectors replaced. I have had my Honda regularly serviced without missing any needed service appointments. Prior to the electrical system shut-down yesterday, my Honda was on a recall list for a new fuel pump, which was incorrectly installed, had to be reinstalled a second time, only to find out from Honda that they had made an error and should not have sent me a letter that my Honda was under a recall for a defective fuel pump. The electrical issues began to surface soon after the second fuel pump install (the reinstall due to incorrect install the first time). It also needs to be noted that my car cabin smelled of gas for several days after the fuel pump installs, and if I fill up my gas tank to full, the cabin of my car has a gas smell. My battery immediately died shortly after the second fuel pump install and it was only approximately 2 years old. The screen where my indicators are will frequently shut down for no reason from time to time, but then will come back on. Yesterday was the first time that all systems sent warnings that everything was going to shut down, and the steering and brake systems were compromised. My family and I have concerns regarding the safety of this vehicle at this time.Read more

I am currently at over 103,000 miles. I estimate the issue began at around 90,000 miles. I have not reported this to the Acura dealer. However, my local mechanic confirmed the issue exists. After some investigation, I found that this is a common problem with this model car and year. The quoted cost to repair this issue from two different Acura dealerships is quite expensive, ranging from $2300 to $2500, to replace both headlight assemblies. This should not be my issue to pay for; it should be a recall at Acura's expense.Read more
