Fisker pushed the over the air (OTA) software update 2.1 and it broke / bricked my car. The car was at 61% charge and 12v battery without problems. After the 2.1 software update, my car showed tons of errors, including all the battery warnings, and now nothing works. It's basically dead without a fix. Within the first month after the purchase in late August 2022, the car would shake when turning onto road. Depressing the gas peddle did nothing. The speedometer would not go over 20 mph, but the car was not moving, only coasting. The RPM would jump to over 3000 RPM. Again, the car is not moving, only coasting. ... t pumps of the gas peddle did nothing, but about 20-30 seconds of this behavior, the car would start to kick into Drive. There were no instrument panel alarms, warnings, or lights. By October 2022, the problem occurred every time I drove the car first thing after it had been off for several hours. For the rest of Fall, Winter, and Spring with temperatures under 30 degrees, this problem would occur. I have to use one of 2 highways to leave my home. Both highways were dangerous for this problem. I had to wait for no traffic as far as I could see, but with coasting speeds and no control, it didn't take long for traffic to catch up. In some cases, after a turn onto a highway or 2-lane busy street, there was no where to coast off the road. I used hazard lights a lot, but it was clear that the danger was significant. The third cold weather season is coming soon. The problem will most certainly occur has it has every year since we purchased it. The problem seems to occur at intersections where this is a greater than 5% grade. It does not occur on a flat grade. The dealer tells us that unless their diagnostic equipment from Hyundai USA cannot detect a problem, then they cannot do a repair. Even though the technicians witnessed the problem away from the dealership, they cannot make it fail at the dealership. They want to keep the car for days or weeks, but we've been through this and I turned them down. Hyundai USA keeps telling me to file a claim, which I did. While driving into the dealership the vehicle started losing power and engine went into complete failure. It is now at dealership and waiting for it to be inspected. My Ford Expedition Max started to make a rattling noise after I start the vehicle, if the car was running for a while I could turn it off and on again and wouldnt hear the noise, but if the engine was cold it would make a rattling noise when started. Then if I do not let the SUV warm up long enough and start driving it would have a point where it would do a random hard slow down before it would ki

This started a few weeks ago the I was driving on the highway and while i was doing about 55MPH the suv made a loud noise that made the vehicle change speed dramatically it cause me to be whiplashed forward before the engine seemed to catch back up to its orevious actions, it did not actually cause an accident at that point (but it very well could have if the road was busy as it was a dramatic chnage in speed as well as the noise it made). I pulled over to inspect but there was nothing in the road and nothing that was being done that seemed to cause the traumatic issue. The next day when I brought the car to the mechanic and explained the issue he was able to diagnose an issue with the timing chain. Upopn some resaerch there many complaints and issues with my that make/models particular engine and parts that have had issues but the dealer would not assist saying there is no formal recall and at 69K miles I am over the warrenty. My car doesnot have any codes or warning lights and has all regularly scheduled maintenance and repairs done regularly but the car is clearly not driving correctly, This issue is causing the SUV to dramatically change speed while driving which is likely to cause an accident and severe injury.Read more

The waterpump had to be replaced due to overheating, plus numerous other engine issues. it only has 137,000 miles on it But the REAL safety hazard is the power steering goes out at random times. and when this happens the dash goes blank. This has happened 4 times and each time we were lucky it was not on a busy highway, and close to home. The mechanic did everything

After getting into my parked car and starting it, the Stabilitrak warning message came on my display. This is the 2nd tike that this occurred. So, the accelerator, (gas), pedal controls the movement of the butterfly valve on the throttle body by sending a signal to the motor. I'm going to replace that... about $140 or so. In May I brought the vehicle to the dealership because the vehicle was turning off at low speeds (exiting a parking lot) or switching from Drive to Reverse. This was in conjunction with the check engine light coming on. The dealership diagnosed it as a fuel sensor failure, which they told me was safe to drive, and they'd order the part. I went back the next week when the sensor had been received a
... nd the repair was made. Last week, the low fuel alert flashed when I knew the vehicle was not low on fuel. The alert was not stable for a few days (it turned on and then turned back off, and then on again), and the vehicle started to have the same issue of stopping at low speeds. I had it towed to the dealership because I was too worried to drive it. The dealership diagnosed it with a 'swollen and leaky gas tank'. They sent photos upon request and the gas tank appears to have a tear. It is not due to any accident or road debris. The VW dealership has recommended a complete gas tank replacement, and let me know the gas tanks are on back order and did not have a date it would be available. This is extremely dangerous situation because 1. it was leaking gas and 2. it was coming to a stop. I drive around children (my own and others) and I can't imagine if something had happened while I was in driving around a car of kids. I read on different sites (Reddit and other car sites) and it seems the stopping problem with the Atlas is somewhat common, unfortunately. I am curious if it's due to a bad gas tank or if it is a separate malfunction with the vehicle. I called the Volkswagen Care Line and was told that they were sorry, but my vehicle was no longer under warranty, so they were unable to give me any information or guidance.Read more

Passenger front door handle has stuck since new. I saw these have been closed. However Fisker has done nothing to fix the situation and now stuck with so far one door handle that is broken and can cause someone to be trapped in the car. ... y pedestrians or southbound vehicles. There were no system failures or warnings prior to my wife's arrival to her appointment. As mentioned this occurred within an approximate 5 second time frame. It is unknown as to what if any warnings occurred prior to/during the crash as my wife was pushing the brake to park when the sudden acceleration occurred. The braking system seems to have failed along with the sudden acceleration. The Automatic Braking System didn't engage, nor did the parking collision system. All our other Subaru's (including this vehicle have the collision warning and automatic braking systems) The dealership did not try to replicate the incident but all warning systems appear to be functioning correctly at this time. Following the accident I first reported the incident to my dealership where I purchased the vehicle. The initial damage estimate is forthcoming but Subaru tech indicated it will be may thousands of dollars to repair. I will follow-up next with Subaru's National Customer Care (per conversation with dealer) At the dealership (Southern Oregon Subaru) I had a safety/drive-ability inspection performed. The left rear caliper has been replaced 3 times in the last 6 months and is currently in the shop for a 4th. This locks up for no reason and ruins the brake pad and the rotor and I have now replaced all of that 3 times as well and the brake hose line.

The vehicle was being repaired. The contact related the parts replacement to Chrysler Campaign Number: D-21-10. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under the campaign. The failure mileage was approximately 142,000.Read more

The reverse lights are not bright enough when backing up at night. When using the backup camera, the driver is unable to see anything behind the car, as the lights do not shine bright enough to illuminate the area of the camera. There is no way to adjust the brightness of the camera or the lights.

I started getting this alert on my screen a few weeks ago: RCM_a056 "Front passenger safety restraint system fault" Service Required. Tesla says the warranty only covered this issue up to 60,000 miles and I'm at 61,000. They are quoting like $2,000 to fix. My truck doesn't qualify for the 8 years 150,000 extended warranty due to the vin, however at 140,000 miles my truck has continued to experience spuddering and low acceleration from 1st to 2nd gear. He informed me to bring it to Scott Honda with the confidence they would happily take care of it because it is a safety concern. Multiple technical service bulletins have been issued by Ford, but no recall despite presenting a real danger to drivers of the affected vehicles. Ford did recall 2021 models of this vehicle for the same exact reason, but will not recall the earlier models posing the same danger. My vehicle is currently in with the Ford service department after doing everything listed above while driving, and Ford has informed me it needs a $9,500 repair to the transmission due to this defect.Read more

I have since followed up and every time I go in they tell me again only once I get there they don’t have the remedy and this is happened three times. I feel unsafe driving the vehicle and would very much like to have a safe and dependable vehicle to which I feel I am owed considering how much I paid for this truck .
