The following were sent to JLR for comment - this is a documented safety issue and the fact that they have not made this a recall in the US is appalling - please force their hand. To whom it may concern: Please pass this email to the appropriate person and have them contact me so we can have an intelligent conversation regarding why the exact issue my vehicle is experiencing is recalled in the U
... K and Canada, but not in the US. This is a well documented failure that JLR is clearly aware of as stated in the attached N759 recall. My vehicle, VIN: [XXX] , is currently at Ray Catena Jaguar of Marlboro for replacement of a cracked steering knuckle, image attached, that JLR is refusing to cover. JLR's liability in this case is black and white. Please call or email at your earliest convenience. [XXX] Best - [XXX] 2nd email: Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss further. An image of my failure and the UK recall notice are attached for reference just in case they did not make it through to you from my initial email. Nobody at the dealership will discuss openly what is clearly a dangerous manufacturer's defect that has already been recognized and addressed in other countries. I encourage you to simply google "L405 knuckle failure" - this is not an isolated incident and a failure at speed could be absolutely catastrophic. I have an aftermarket warranty that thankfully covered most of the cost to replace the cracked knuckle, but they would not replace the driver side as it has not yet cracked. I currently had to pay the following expenses out of pocket to address this issue: $503.66 - balance after 3rd party warranty coverage $382.17 - rental car while car was at dealer for repair INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Brand new vehicle and already having issues with steering. The steering wheel takes a lot of strength to steer, at first I thought it was an issue of me getting used to the car but a few days into having the car the recall notification came. I also compare it to multiple civic car my co workers own, it was not the same steering. The vehicle I test drove (hybrid civic - sport touring) was not the o
... ne I purchase which was definitely my mistake for not comparing them both. Dealership has been unresponsive, at first I tried calling and would hang up on me telling me the VIN was not valid. I attempted to reach the service desk with no luck. I finally went in person (I can provide names if needed of associate in service) and the advisor who helped me told me Honda was not fixing recalls after cars were purchased, only if they are unsold on the lot. He kept telling me to not worry about it and to trust him (total stranger who did not bother to look up the recall or inspect the vehicle). I repeated my self to make sure I understood him correctly and I asked again as plainly as possible: does Honda not intent on fixing safety recalls? and he told me no, not once the vehicle has been sold. I have been doubting myself for purchasing this car instead of the Subaru Impreza and now I hate myself the more for it, after this. The vehicle is exhausting to drive, I have a long commute to work 52 miles one way. I needed a vehicle to be safe and comfortable in. This was not it.Read more

Air suspension failure on front drivers side 2019 Ram Rebel. When it was below freezing outside, a warning message flashed across the screen saying service air suspension immediately. Went home and got up later to drive again and the warning message was gone, never to be seen again. Fast forward and it was extremely hot out. Noticed the truck was leaning to one side. Jumped in, started it, and the
... height recentered. Got out and could hear an active air leak. Drove for a while and would always raise and lower as normal. Issue seemed to go away. Finally, it came back. When trying to change the heights, a message flashed that said “Air suspension system overheating. Ride height safe to maintain.” Sent to dealership. Took 2 days to find issue. Mopar gave oddly specific instructions to determine if that was the issue. Air suspension replacement cost $2500 and not covered under any warranty. Took almost 2 months to get the part. National shortage of the part. Was told driving to vehicle was a safety concern because if the motor in the suspension failed, it could cause the vehicle to rapidly fall, causing loss of control and airbag deployment. Ram refused to call back when trying to get answers about what was going on. Dealer contacted other dealerships and parts places across the country to no avail. When the part came unexpectedly and I picked up the vehicle, I was informed that another 2019 Ram Rebel was there for rear air suspension failure with the same issue of inability to locate a part.Read more

What happened? While driving my 2014 Honda Accord, both the brake and steering warning lights suddenly illuminated. The steering became difficult, indicating a loss of power steering assist. I pulled over safely and discovered that the ABS light remained on. After towing the vehicle to a service center, the technician confirmed that the ABS pump/module had failed, which triggered both warning lig
... hts and caused a failure in the power steering system. This malfunction poses a serious safety risk, potentially leading to loss of braking efficiency and steering control. The failure was sudden, with no prior warning signs. The service center advised that the ABS module requires replacement. Legal Protections and Manufacturer Liability: As a consumer, I am protected under state lemon laws and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. These laws mandate that vehicles sold must be free from defects affecting safety and performance. The ABS pump/module failure directly compromises the vehicle’s safety, making Honda responsible for repair or replacement. I should not bear the cost of this repair, as the issue is a manufacturing defect. Widespread Safety Issue and Call for Investigation: It has come to my attention that thousands of 2014 Honda Accords are experiencing the same ABS pump/module failure, a clear safety issue that affects both the braking and steering systems. This is a widespread defect that Honda has yet to acknowledge with a formal recall. This issue appears to be purposefully hidden, and I urge Honda to initiate a thorough investigation and recall to address this danger. If Honda does not act quickly, I will pursue legal action to ensure the safety of affected consumers, including complaints to regulatory bodies and potential class action litigation.Read more

[XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Oct 21 2014 National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE West Building Washington, DC 20590 Subject: Urgent Safety Concern and Financial Loss Related to 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe – VIN: [XXX] ] Dear NHTSA, I am writing to formally report a significant safety concern and financial hardship I have experienced as a result of
... owning a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe, VIN: [XXX] ]. On [XXX], while the vehicle was charging at [XXX], it caught fire. The vehicle had no pending services or recalls at the time of the incident. To my further dismay, in October 2024, Jeep issued a global recall for this model, citing battery issues. This only confirms my suspicion that the fire in my vehicle was the result of a manufacturing defect. Given the timing of the recall, I believe my incident is directly related to this defect, and the issue raises significant safety concerns. The total cost of my vehicle was approximately $78,454, and I have only driven it for about 15,000 miles. After filing an insurance claim, I was offered $45,215, which does not adequately cover the financial loss I have incurred. This leaves me at a significant financial deficit. Additionally, I have been renting a car for the last six weeks due to this incident, which has further cost me approximately $36,000. I have contacted Jeep’s customer support and created a case (number: [XXX]), but despite my efforts, I have yet to receive any meaningful response or resolution from Jeep. This situation has caused not only significant financial strain but also immense mental stress. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue thoroughly and ensure that Jeep takes responsibility for their defective vehicles. I see in today's news that the NHTSA is investigating Tesla's FSD due to accidents in poor visibility, but the articles I've read are not discussing another visibility issue that may actually be more widespread. I already reported concerns with Telsa's FSD in incident 11618812, but I forgot to mention another issue I believe is crucial to the success or failure of Tesla's FSD, and I am surprised t
... o find that nobody is talking about this serious flaw. Because Tesla's FSD relies on camera video only, the vehicle is blind in the dark. I live in a rural area, and on some roads without streetlights or other vehicles nearby illuminating the areas around the vehicle, Tesla's FSD falsely assumes that the side and rear facing cameras are obstructed because they cannot see in the dark. This was also an issue when my son and I drove home through the night from South Carolina. When we hit North Carolina on [XXX] in the middle of the night between cities and no streetlights, traffic was sparse so there was nobody behind or to the sides of the vehicle. Every few minutes, FSD falsely warned us that the cameras were obstructed, and alerted us that FSD's capabilities were limited. One point of view is that there was nobody there so my car was clear, and FSD could assume that everything is okay and suppress the warning, but what if the driver of the other vehicle at night failed to have their lights on? And how will FSD ever know that the camera is obstructed, or is in pitch dark? Take an average of the low light across multiple cameras? Is that risky? In my opinion, Tesla's FSD cannot rely on video alone and either needs to use LIDAR, night vision, or 3D radar to see more accurately around the vehicle in poor visibility conditions. The answer to low light, bright low sun, fog, or dust is probably the same solution. But we were all promised FSD, so will Musk upgrade the hardware in our cars at Tesla's expense, or expect all of us to pay for the upgrade to get what we were all promised? A few times when I drive to a stop light/sign, the SUV engages the parking brake without my input, unlocks the door and prevents the vehicle from being driven, unless I reengage the gear back to drive. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not work right away and takes a few times to shift the gear. Seems to be getting worst. One time on 10/17/2024 at my work parking lot, I forced the SUV to drive
... by stepping firmly on the accelerator while brakes are still gripping the rotor. The EV moved slowly forward, stalled and refused to reverse. There were a couple of vehicles behind me waiting for me to move out of their way. It took a while but few minutes later, it was back to normal. I'm able to disengage the brake for some reason and drive. This isn't the first time that this happened, although this is my worst experience with the EV at this time.In addition, I have other problems with the vehicle relating to recalls.
