I received a notification for a recall for the water pump many months ago. To this day, the water pump has not been replaced. No one has reached out to me to set up the recall repair. I have tried to find local car repair shops, but they won't do it as it is part of a national recall. Also, the ADAS system is constantly malfunctioning, giving errors like collision warning not working, lane assis
... t not working, blind spot monitoring not working. This has been a problem since I received the car. Adaptive cruise control has never worked. The braking system was supposed to be fixed with the 2.2 software update. It seemed to work for a few weeks, now the original problem is back where the braking regeneration turns off suddenly causing the car to lose control. This happens at random.Read more

While driving my 2024 Hyundai Tucson at highway speeds on a clear day with no surrounding traffic, I was startled by an extremely loud bang that sounded like an explosion. Pieces of shattered glass rained down inside the passenger cabin, creating a potentially hazardous situation. This incident was a traumatic experience. The sudden and unexpected event had the potential to cause serious injury to
... the driver, as well as increase the risk of a collision due to the shock and distraction it caused. Additionally, other pieces of shattered glass were propelled from the vehicle, posing a risk of injury or damage to other drivers on the road. Upon physical inspection, it was noted that the glass from the panoramic sunroof was bowed upwards, which suggests the explosion originated from within the sunroof and NOT an external factor such as road debris or a rock. The vehicle, which is less than a year old, is currently at the Hyundai dealership pending an investigation. Given the severity of the incident and the potential risks to driver and passenger safety, I strongly recommend that a recall be issued or a comprehensive investigation be initiated by the NHTSA to prevent further occurrences of such dangerous incidents. Safety must be a priority, and swift action is necessary to ensure that no other drivers or passengers are at risk of similar events.Read more

I am writing to express concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only m
... yself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. In addition per recall I had my water pump replaced. The only shop in my area with replacement pumps charged $283 in labor, see attached receipt. I understand that I may be able to reimbursed for up to $175 of this cost. However I believe the entire cost of this recall should be covered.Read more

I was driving and my MIL came on. When I parked, I could smell strong exhaust fumes. I went to get an OBD2 scan and it came back with P0420: Catalyst System Efficiency below Threshold (Bank 1) reading. I was told to replace the O2 sensor. After getting it replaced, this did not fix the issue. After some research, I discovered there is a TSB out recommending CATALYTIC CONVERTER inspection and/or re

The dealership denied coverage because of this and the vehicle exhaust fumes are still strong. This can cause emissions issues later, so the TSB should be expanded to all Kia Soul models, regardless of engine size.Read more

On [XXX], I was in a busy parking garage holding my [XXX] child on my hip and pushing the stroller, with my [XXX] safely procured inside, as I approached my Kia Carnival 2025 to load the children and depart. To avoid active traffic while allowing enough room for the automatic doors to open safely, I moved as close to the Kia Carnival as possible with my [XXX] and infant in the stroller, engagin
... g the safety breaks of the stroller. Due to the tight space, I underestimated the length the door needed to fully open by approximately 3 inches; this should not have been an issue as there is a sensor in the door that stops when it senses any object in its way. However, the sensor failed. The door did not stop when it came in to contact with the stroller that had my [XXX] baby in it. With the safety brakes engaged to prevent the stroller from rolling away, I desperately tried to drag away the locked stroller as quickly as possible. The door hit the stroller, continuing to open regardless of the object (my infant in her stroller) in the way, hooking the stroller on the lip of the door and pushing it up and over. If I did not have my hand on the stroller and acted so quickly, my daughter could have been seriously injured or worse. If the stroller had been facing the other way, I fear what would have happened. In addition, had it been my toddler standing there, she would have been crushed. I also endured bodily injury, physical strain, and mental anguish while keeping my children safe from this malfunction. I was in shock by the pure fear created by that situation. It was devastating. The door will not physically stop opening if you try to pull on it. The sensor does not work in detecting any body when opening. It needs physical force exerted against it, the size of an adult male to kick in. It is negligent. (Kia was already sued for this in previous models- they know it’s an issue!) And sometimes the exterior door handle seem to jam resulting in the door not being able to open. I bought my 2022 Yukon XL on [XXX]. On Friday [XXX], only a few weeks after having my car in the shop (at the dealer) for running rough, it started to make an odd high-pitched noise and running very rough at higher speeds. I immediately called the dealer and asked how quickly I could bring the car in to be checked. They said they had no availability for over 10 days, and offered me an appointment
... for then. By the next morning, it seemed to be running better and I didn't have to drive much that day so I hoped it would make it until the appointment. That Sunday [XXX], my husband and I drove the car to a sporting event with our children and it seemed to be ok. On our way home, however, just after crossing a long causeway over the bay, the car's motor just stopped working in the middle of driving on [XXX] in Miami. We were in the left lane and had to try to change multiple lanes while coasting only, and were only able to get off the traffic lanes because there happened to be a side street that came up quickly enough to turn onto before the car came to a stop. It was completely unexpected and without warning, and had we been on the interstate or even the causeway we had just come off of, it could've easily caused an accident with my whole family in the car. Once stopped, it wouldn't crank or even try to turn over, no matter what we tried. It took 2 tow trucks because we couldn't even change/move gears enough to put it in neutral, so couldn't use the flat bed that arrived first. We were stuck for hours in a less than desirable area of town. The dealer took a week to look the car over, then said the engine had seized up and would need to be replaced. The engine was on back order and it took over 6 weeks for the replacement. After replacement, 2 separate issues arose over the following 2 weeks, each the result of a component not being properly tightened during the engine replacement by dealer service technicians. I was scheduled to receive the 2.2 software update November 12 and noticed a low voltage battery warning some time earlier in the day, November 11 - this is not the main battery, as it was charged around 70%. Was this related to the download maybe? From reading threads, the best way to charge is to drive, so I went for a drive through local parks for about 30 minutes. Fast forward to later that
... night and I was driving home and received the warning again, but this time in a more critical fashion (beeps, red caution blinking, etc) and then a couple seconds later while turning on a bend the car totally shut down, the wheel locked up, breaks activated in full and I slid straight into the curb and got a flat tire and broke the wheel on the axel. Thankfully I was alone and was not hurt, and only going about 20 mph, but it could have been a lot worse. The car has not been online since as I haven't had time to charge the 12 volt, and the main battery will not charge because the cabin does not have power. Any advice on how to file a complaint, or next steps? I would love to be able to prove this with the logs or events within the car computer if I was ever able to power it back on again. At this point, the vehicle is a death trap.Read more

On Oct. 7th, 2024, our Audi Q7 2017 needed software update because the front data screen (MMI system) was rebooting frequently while driving, causing the screen to go up and down to reset itself. The Mission Viejo, CA Audi dealership updated the software. We picked up our car on Oct 24th, 2024. By the evening of Oct 24th, 2024, an error message for ‘front right-side marker light defective
... ’ appeared on the dashboard screen when we drove under bridges, dark areas, and at night. The error message appeared with multiple loud beeps each time it appeared. At night, the message would appear every 5-10 minutes, making the car undriveable at night. The dealership suggested they would have Audi corporate perform the Audi recall campaign 97CB – NHTSA campaign ID 16V642000. With the holidays, time dragged on. The update was finally attempted 1/7/25-1/8/25. The dealership said the update failed and suggested I either buy a new light ($4895) or contact a tune-shop to turn-off the front side markers via coding/programming, thus reducing my safety and augmenting the factory software by an outside vendor. Once the MMI software system was updated, it caused the front marker light coding to malfunction. After more research in the last few weeks, the front marker light (NHTSA campaign ID 16V642000) is a much broader issue than a light not working and still resides with Audi Q7 2017 this many years later.Read more

I did not have an incident(accident), I noticed issues with my car, that seem to be prevalent with other Nissan Vehicles. This report is mostly proactive. I took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection and repair however was unable to come to a conclusion due to multiple inspection charges done by dealer but no fixes. Issue 1. Airbag Fault Warning Light on the dash. Turns on when I start the car
... , and stays. I took car to dealer and they have done a computer reset to reset the light (based on an internal Nissan bulletin on how to repair that issue, with mention in the repair notes that a lot of vehicles have that issue.) The reset didnt work and the light is back, now the dealer is saying that a whole sensor needs replacing as its prone to failure. Initial repair mentioned "code B00A0 stored for occupant detection system, but will not relearn." Zero Point Relearn will not complete. Referred to NTB19-071D... Ran the 75H Reset, code clears." Secondary repair: 'B00A0 Returned. Performed database search and found similar cases. Nissan recommends OSC and sensor replacement. Performed Bulletin again and error code is now 24H, not 75H. Zero point will not relearn. Started a case with Nissan and was advised to replace ...[OCS]... and strain sensors..." Issue 2: Loud clanking or grinding noise when turning vehicle left or right until wheel stops. Went to get this repaired and was told that dealer found bulletin 12-055J and will "need to replace axle nuts and apply Molykote." Paid for repair, and after picking up the car the sound is even worse, and upon bringing it back the dealer is saying that the noise is not due to past repair but vehicle will now need "Both front Strut mounts and bearings replaced." The sound is the same, and a cursory online search shows that this issue is prevalent across multiple vehicles. Also, recently when attempting a U-turn, the steering locked up momentarily when I was trying to straighten out the vehicle, with that noise (clunk sound)Read more

We have signs of excessive frame flex in a Grand Design Reflection RV. We have allowed them 2x to inspect and they have botched both inspections. We keep being told there is no TSB or frame flex in reflections, which is not accurate as there are owners who have had cracked welds and major frame failure in reflections units. Grand Design needs to step up and support all customers not just momentum
... and solitudes because they are under investigation. I urge the NHTSA to expand their investigation to all Grand Design Models. Here is the list of signs of upper desk frame flex we have in our unit: 1. Lag bolts were backing out in bedroom (these have been replaced during the 2 botched inspections) 2. Graphics slightly bunching near trim 3. Screws backing out that hold on philon trim (we have been having to keep tightening them). 4. Philon trim had shifted significantly since it was just replaced (after 1 hr drive home from shop where my husband confirmed there were not gaps). 5. We also do have some noise hitching and unhitching like a creaking. We had 1st inspection in early 2024. It was botched. GD dealer did not follow procedures. We had 2nd late 2024. This too was botched. We have requested a GD SRT be sent to do a proper inspection and repair with us being able to observe the inspection. This request still unresolved going on a month. We have had our main door fixed multiple times because it does not close properly (could result in door opening while in motion). This could be due to frame flexing. We had a major issue on a trip in Nov 2023 in which both of our axles “bent” and we almost blew our 2 tires. This could have been catastrophic and we believe this may be due to under designed components or frame flexing. We also have frame cracks (at least one on each side of the ibeam main frame) that have been confirmed and are scheduled for repair 1/22/25. 1. Frame - yes 2. See above 3. See above 4. See above 5. It has been checked by vw and they state that the brakes are fine and they’ve had several come in with same issue but there’s no recall that has been issued. They stated it is the material that was used to manufacture brake parts that cause this proble
... m. It worries me one day they will give out. Also the error drive system has come on and it feels I lose power. I stop car and sometimes that helps as I restart. They tell me the antifreeze needs to be topped off. I’ve already had to refill in less than 3 months which I find crazy with antifreeze. No other car I’ve owned have I had to refill this so much. So several issues have occurred with this vehicle.Read more

Vehicle was on software version 2.0 which solely contributed to this problem. I had a front passenger tire have a catastrophic failure and blow out on me while driving, this causes the car to pull hard to the right, into a concrete wall. Compounding this problem was I let off the throttle and the regen braking never kicked in to slow the car down. Software version 2.0 was known to be flawed and ca
... use excessive tire wear and regen braking issues, which is what I believe happened. The result of the crash was minor cosmetic flaws, but due to the inability to gather parts the insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. There have been several other occurrences of this happening and I believe the car is a serious safety hazard to those who drive it and others on the road.Read more

The vehicle's steering wheel became very loose at ~50k miles making it wobbly and potential to fall off which could cause danger while driving and possibility of airbag deployment. As seen in the attached pictures, there was no thread locker on the bolt that tightens the steering wheel down. I was able to remove it simply with my hands upon a few twist.

The suspension is slightly off it acts like an row boat on waves so like an S in certain rain situations like it has a loose slippery power steering suspension. My tires are not the issue because they are brand new from w
... hen I got the car last year in November. I only have a little over 10K miles on the car. Next the electrical keeps glitching. The night driving lights do not work correctly after Honda did the recall repair. I am taking it back to Hendricks Honda for the next oil change on 12/27 and to try and get it fixed under warranty but I think they did not disclose a defect on the car when I bought it used with very low miles.Read more

On several occasions, the car has locked the breaks, causing the car behind me to almost rear end me. The forward collision camera thinks it sees an object or another's vehicle in front when there is nothing on the road and activates the breaks for no reason. This has happened approximately 6 times while traveling anywhere between 20mph to 55mph on the freeway. I called chevy dealer and said th

1. The HOLD hill feature for the brakes is now not working. After the first software update it started to work but now since the second recent software update, the "hold" feature stopped working and the car slides backwards causing me to slam on the brakes creating extreme safety concerns for myself (the driver and my daughter who I don't allow in the car anymore). There were no warning lights f
... or this problem which occurred when I bought the car before the first software update and again after the most recent update. The manufacturer no longer exists to check our cars which are supposed to be under warranty. I do not trust my safety or anyone elses in this car anymore. 2. Electrical system- (All summer 2024) the car overheats and stops working completely when the temperature is in the high 90's. The car loses power and slows down to a complete stop. I was in the middle of the road when this happened and had to wait for over an hour for it to cool down to restart on multiple dates in the summer; I stopped driving it when I realized it was the heat. I can no longer drive it when the weather is hot which occurred throughout the LA summer. 3. Malfunctioning Seatbelt:11/1/2024 to present-the back right seat belt does not retract automatically and was this way whenever my daughter was in the car. I thought she had done something to it to make it stop working but I have now found out many Fisker owners have experienced the same problem. The right seatbelt is non-functioning and not safe. I no longer will take passengers in the back seat due to this known issue.Read more

Visual and audible warning messages occur randomly for these systems. I do not know if any, all or none of the messages I get should be acted on or ignored. This is distracting while driving. Also, the text for these messages is so small it’s hard to read.
