Still waiting for NHSTA mandated recall work to be completed as part of the bankruptcy settlement from October 2024. I have had to put out considerable time & money out of my own pocket to try and address these issues, even though money was put aside in the bankruptcy settlement. I had to pay out of pocket to travel to 200 miles to meet an approved mobile tech to handle the recall work. I was
... to pay labor, but the technician did not have the tools to do the pump replacement (#1 recall), his device to test the door handle recall (#2 recall) was not functioning properly, and I had to pay to manually update my software to 2.2 (#3 recall), which did not provide the full update, only the OTA team could provide. For recall #3 (software update 2.2#) I have received 1 part of 3 updates from OTA over 2 months ago with no further update. So far, since the partial update to 2.2 my range has dramatically reduced in cold weather performance. I am getting 20-30% lower range performance than last winter. My real world range on 100% charge is less than 170 miles on a full charge. Less than 50% of EPA rated range. During the time of the OTA update I received in December I had to pay to rent vehicle, because it was to remain untouched for 48 hours while the OTA team completed the work (which they did not complete). I will need to rent another vehicle when they decide to finish completion per the recommendations to have the vehicle hooked up to a 30amp charger and left undisturbed during the 48 hour update window. Recall #2 Door handle safety. Last week my spouse was locked in the vehicle and unable to open from the inside. I had to get out of the vehicle and let them out. I am having to pay for another mobile tech to come out and address this recall. Recall #1 I will have to pay the labor when the mobile tech comes out hopeful in the next month to address pump recall because no funds from the bankruptcy settlement have been given out to approved technicians to addressRead more

Windows are 48 hrs long, car is unusable for the entire window. Partial updates are expected, and another 48 hrs may be required to complete. Complete updates (correct sounds and all), per owner surveys, have been under 30%. One set of numbers shared with FOA, and then shared with owners, was that only ~10% of the fleet (~300) was updated after 5 weeks of attempts and over 800 VINs submitted for attempt. December, within 2 weeks there were check engine lights on and when I googled the code that was showing I found a ton of blogs about how people had the same recall done and within a short period of time this code came up and it meant the hybrid battery needs to be replaced. I reached out to the dealer and brought it in to get looked at. After a couple weeks I was told that the replacement of the battery would not be covered under the recall since part of the recall solution is testing the battery, and it tested good. I literally had only had the van back for 2 weeks. And I have countless records of engine codes showing up for years. I currently have 8 active engine codes showing. I know there is an open investigation concerning the recall I just had the remedy done for and I am 100% sure that this defect is related to that recall.Read more

Also, Following an attempted OTA software update for the safety recall, I have noticed that the pedestrian alert noises are missing, which poses a significant safety risk not only for those around the car but also for the occupants inside the vehicle. Moreover, I've noticed a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners after OTA updates. It appears that a significant percentage of vehicles—approximately 2% to 5%—experience similar problems, rendering them undrivable during the 48-hour update window. This situation not only disrupts our daily lives but also raises serious concerns about the reliability of the software updates. I am particularly troubled by the statistics indicating that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully after several weeks of attempts. With such a limited number of service personnel available nationwide, it is alarming that many owners like myself are left without adequate support during these challenging times. I urge you to address these issues promptly, putting more vehicles in danger of becoming undrivable because of the safety recall process being flawed may not be helpful in this current process. Additionally, I would appreciate any assistance you can offer in resolving my current situation and compensating for the expenses incurred due to this inconvenience. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already troubling situation. Given these circumstances, I urge you to address these issues promptly and transparently.Read more

Car seat manufacturer issued a recall for this car seat in December 23, 2024. The recall notice stated that an issue exists where the carseat buckle could no longer secure the child because debris could impact the locking mechanism. The manufacturer sent notices saying they are still working on creating a fix for this. My seat though is still under Nuna’s 2-year warranty. I requested a new seat
... or the equivalent cost of the seat to purchase a new, non-defective one so not to risk the seat malfunctioning during transit. The manufacturer has refused to comply, violating their warranty and deceiving me as a consumer who relies on these products to protect my child. This issue impacts thousands of children besides mine. I don’t think this manufacturer should be allowed to sell seats in the US if this is their practice and policy toward recall defects and warranties, illustrating their disregard for child safety.Read more
