I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver,
... I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) and my VIN is not one of them. This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Other safety issues include random indoor reading lights lite up randomly during driving (specially during night) really a concern and they don't turn off. The ADAS feature very premature suddenly disengages features, the scariest of all it resistive braking. I was almost met with an accident. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already troubling situation. I urge you to address these issues promptly and transparently. I hope to see improvements regarding the ADAS system and entire process of the OTA safety recalls. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.Read more

... e battery shows 100% state of charge, but my range mileage eventually dropped to zero and remains there. Even after replacing the car's 12v battery, I cannot open the car let alone drive it. While I had a technician to my house to address my bricked car, I had her do the work for 24V49900 (water pump recall). As planned, the recall part was made available to her (and then to me) at no charge. However, the fee to replace it was $345 dollars, as seen in the attached itemized invoice. 1) I had to pay this out of pocket and there is at present no way for me to be reimbursed for the recall work. I am told a portal is coming to submit a claim for reimbursement from the bankruptcy trustee's designee, American Leasing. 2) The amount currently approved for water pump replacement is $175, meaning I will have paid an extra $170 out of pocket for work that was to have been covered at no cost to owners, as mandated by NHTSA. Additionally, I have had a Lane Departure Warning Failure indicator light that has remained on for about 6 months. At best, this is a distraction while driving. My 2024 Subaru Ascent started experiencing brake issues in early January. The car would shake heavily and make noise when braking, despite having only 10,500 miles. On 1/31/25, the dealer inspected the brakes and determined that the front rotors and brake pads needed to be replaced. Subaru of Am
... erica confirmed that the dealer would order new parts for the front brakes. A few days later, I received an email from the dealership stating that the new rotors and brake pads had arrived, and they scheduled me for service on 2/14/25. However, after waiting at the dealership for three hours, I was informed that instead of replacing the rotors as initially promised, they had simply resurfaced them. The explanation given was that these were already “upgraded” rotors. This raises serious concerns for me—if these rotors were already upgraded, why did they fail before 10,000 miles? This is a clear safety issue, and I am increasingly worried that both Subaru of America and the dealership are not properly addressing the situation. I was supposed to receive brand-new rotors, yet I am now left with resurfaced ones, which does not give me confidence in my vehicle’s safety. I need a proper resolution to this issue. Potentially Subaru America should issue a safety recall for these breaks.Read more

Hello, my name is [XXX] and I’m writing in regards to the transmission issues with my Ford expedition. I have reached out to the customer service line and currently my vehicle is at confidence Ford in Norman, OK. Due to the nature of the transmission, it has caused multiple problems and almost deadly situations. This vehicle has been stalling out and losing power since the day we bought it. CUSTOMER SERVICE said that they cannot help us because it is over the hundred thousand miles mark, but I have continued to seek Support and Repair Services since I bought it new in 2021. If you recall during this time, it was after Covid when there was limited resources for repairs and dealerships to offer loaner vehicles or to even rent loaner vehicles. So in the situation of not being able to keep it in service they would give it back. Before I bought this vehicle new, I owned the exact same vehicle that I had bought preowned from Seth Wadley Ford in Pauls Valley, OK. The previous vehicle had the exact same issues and was a Complete LEMON. The previous vehicle had to be traded in for a new one. We thought that buying a new one hoping It would not be a lemon, and with a warranty that we would not have a problem and that the previous one was a fluke. Sadly it was not. Incident date: Oct 1, 2024
Hello, my name is [XXX] and I’m writing in regards to the transmission issues with my Ford expedition. I have reached out to the customer service line and currently my vehicle is at confidence Ford in Norman, OK. I’ve had issues with this vehicle since I bought it New and I’ve tried multiple times to have the transmission repaired. It has been to Patriot Ford in Purcell, OK(No longer in bus
... iness), Zeke Ford in Purcell, OK (No longer in business) Woody Ford in Madill, OK.I’ve tried multiple times to get it into other dealerships, lastly it has ended up at Confidence Ford, Norman, OK. I have almost been T-bone, rear ended and hit head on with my 3 young children in the car on multiple occasions, too many to count.
