On 2/18/2019 took the F-150 to Mathews Ford Marion Ohio service to address several issues. First, the tailgate had unexpectedly opened striking a trailer jack and damaging the tailgate. On 11/29/2023 took the F-150 to Leroy's Service Center in Delaware Ohio as the dashboard indicated several messages including required oil change (although odometer showed an oil change was not needed for another 3,000 miles compared to oil change sticker on windshield), a large yellow wrench adjacent to required oil change message, a small yellow wrench below required oil change message, and a yellow check engine light. Twice there was sensation of slipping (applying gas but no movement). Once parked in Leroy's lot the truck could not be started. Service technicians suspected LEAD frame failure. Service technician replaced the original LEAD frame with Ford Part numbers 2592734 and aL3z-7g276-d 1x (off replacement part box). I retained malfunctioning part for inspection if desired. Numbers off the malfunctioning part include aL3p-7g276-ak a9-21416-0998 c108p; Ford b556d; 3264 487 321 09 330743; Continental 3a8214160008 a2c53308751. Malfunctioning transmission while driving could cause unexpected vehicle slowing or stoppage. My three children are scared, frightened and worried. As we were attempting to unbuckle and exit the vehicle to assess the damage, we were unable to free ourselves. As the seatbelts locked, and had no wiggle room to disengage the latch. We had to move the seats back, to allow room to unbuckle. With the impact we received and the size of the deer struck. The insurance has deemed the vehicle a total loss. After many questions, and multiple attempts to get answers. All I have is the airbags should have deployed, with the evidence through the car with the white powder at airbag locations. As I thank to not be as injured as we could have been. Having my whole family walk away with minor bruises and many aches. My heart is broken, I am shattered and unable to process the incident. Having put so much faith in a vehicle to protect myself and others who I love. I feel jaded, lied too, and unable to trust car safety. For at least a year or better, I noticed a creaking noise in the driver side door. Then on November 14th while doing my first time doing meals on wheels delivery, the door sounded as if it was going to fall off. ... issue. We scheduled an appt. for repair. We used the SUV very limited after that visit and only opened the door far enough to enter inside. The loud creak stopped before the appt. on 12/4, but the power window also would not fully open. During this time, I also contacted Ford Motor Company to file a claim, since the SUV was just out of warranty. They worked with our dealership Horn Ford and agreed to pay 40% of the cost. Today, 12/5/2023 we received our vehicle back and all is working well including the window. I also discovered that a resident in our village had the same problem. I felt this was worth reporting. I have owned many Fords and it would appear this was a defect from the Factory due to a bad weld on the door. Unfortunately, the vehicle was just out of warranty and I regret not saying something sooner, although, I don't think the dealership would have done anything about a creak in the door, especially since it was occurring when the door was fully open, until the day of November 14th.Read more

While driving the brake light came on and when I attempted to stop pedal goes almost to the floor and loud grinding noise is heard. I was able to barely stop the vehicle, I then shut off the vehicle, checked around the vehicle as well as engine compartment not finding any noticeable issue. Restarted the vehicle and brake light was off able to stop with no issue and no grinding noise was heard.

This has happened several more times where brake light goes on, issue with trying to stop and loud grinding noise. The remedy seems to be to get the vehicle stopped, barely, shut off the vehicle, wait for a short moment and then restart the vehicle. This is very concerning if this happens when needing to make an immediate stop as it takes a bit to get the vehicle to stop when this occurs. There was a recall for 2015 to 2018 Mustang, but my 2019 Mustang EcoBoost Convertible Premium does the exact same thing as the 2015 to 2018 Mustang.
