I am having continual failures of the electronic door lock/linkage that causes the door to no open from either the interior or exterior of the vehicle. The door latch has been replaced twice on the driver door, once on the rear driver side, the passenger rear is going to be replaced this week, and the passenger front is starting to make a similar noise that the others have made before failing. In
... an attempt to fix before the cable was also replaced on the latch. The vehicle will not lock the doors allowing for them to be opened while the alarm is armed and will set it off from the exterior of the vehicle. This does not appear to be related to cold weather that has caused issues with the door closing in the past. All repairs have been completed under warranty, but I am considering this to be a safety risk, it does not throw warning messages or errors on the EVIC, and a general scanner does not show any faults with the door. I consider this to be a major safety risk due to the fact that if it fails on the interior of the vehicle, you cannot get out in an emergency without climbing over the door. If it fails from the exterior and an emergency happens you would need to access from another way and crawl over the seats. I do not slam the doors, and the driver side are the most used on this vehicle.Read more

I am submitting a formal safety complaint regarding my 2017 Honda Civic, which is experiencing a serious steering issue that appears to be consistent with a known defect currently under recall for similar vehicles. When driving at speeds above approximately 40 mph, the steering wheel becomes noticeably “sticky” or resistant, making it difficult to maintain smooth and controlled steering. This
... condition creates a safety concern, particularly at highway speeds, as it affects the vehicle’s responsiveness and handling. I understand that there is an existing recall related to steering issues affecting certain Honda Civic models. However, my vehicle’s VIN is not currently included in the recall population, despite exhibiting the same symptoms described in those cases. Given that this appears to be a widespread and documented issue, I believe my vehicle may also be affected by the same underlying defect. I am concerned that I have to pay out of pocket for a repair that is directly related to a known safety issue already acknowledged in other vehicles of the same make and model. I respectfully request that NHTSA review this matter, investigate whether the recall scope should be expanded, and take appropriate action to ensure all affected vehicles are covered. I am happy to provide additional details, including my VIN, maintenance records, or further documentation upon request. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Steering feels sticky at higher speeds, once the vehicle is at full operating temp. The steering requires some pressure to “break free” from whatever position it is in. If I’m continually moving the wheel, it steers normally. However, if I’m driving straight and need to initiate a turn or make minor steering corrections (like on the highway), I have to turn the wheel harder than normal, th
... en it gives way and turns with regular force. This makes it difficult to control, causing the car the jerk around a lot. This is an issue many others have noticed on online forums, and there does not seem to be a known fix for this. The Mazda dealership near me could not duplicate the issue (since it takes 20-30 minutes of continuous driving for this steering issue to get worse to the point of concern), and therefore refused to look any further. This makes it unsafe to drive longer than 20-30 minutes. I am currently awaiting an appointment with an independent service center. Safety Complaint – 2019 Ford Edge Transmission and Engine Shutdown Issues To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report ongoing safety-related defects with my 2019 Ford Edge, which I purchased new. This behavior is extremely concerning, as it creates a risk of sudden loss of power while driving and could result in an accident. Ford is aware of these issues but has not issued a recall. I paid to have the torque converter replaced; however, the same transmission problem has returned. Ford has declined to provide further assistance. Additionally, the check engine light is now illuminated, which Ford attributes to a software issue. Despite multiple repair attempts and clear safety concerns, these problems remain unresolved. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration review this matter, as the defects appear to be systemic and pose a potential risk to drivers. Vehicle: 2019 Acura RDX (Technology Package) I am reporting a serious safety issue involving sudden loss of engine power while driving. On March 14, 2026, I filled my gas tank before traveling approximately 1.5 hours out of town. The vehicle operated normally that day. The following morning, during snowy and icy conditions, while accelerating in traffic, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stall
... ed. Multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard (“Christmas tree” effect), and the steering became very stiff, making it difficult to safely maneuver the vehicle out of traffic. I was able to restart the vehicle, but warning lights remained on. The next day, while driving on the highway under normal conditions, the same issue occurred again. While accelerating, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stalled in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. In response, the fuel pump inside the gas tank was replaced; however, the problem persists. The vehicle continues to display warning lights and still loses power when accelerating. I contacted an Acura dealership after seeing reports of a fuel pump recall for similar vehicles, but I was told my VIN was not included. Despite this, the symptoms match known fuel pump-related issues. This defect poses a serious safety risk, especially when driving at highway speeds or in traffic, as sudden loss of power and steering assist can lead to a crash. No injuries have occurred yet, but the issue is ongoing and unresolved. I am requesting investigation into this issue as a potential safety defect.Read more

I went today and spoke with a new dealership and they put me in contact with Jeep Customer Care.
