The main head unit display (8") that controls the climate, audio and other control functions as well as the backup camera video feed is poorly made and subject to rapid delamination at edges and center. We reported and showed this problem to a Subaru dealer multiple times in past and they simply indicated it as 'temporary moisture' yet it is NOT moisture related and a design/manufacturing flaw.
... The car is now out of warranty and the problem only exacerbated with time to point where rear view camera functionality / visibility is impaired ... not ot mention the unsightly look of the main center display. This is a common widespread problem among many Subaru users as reported in various online forums, however, Subaru continues to deny fault/liability with fixing what is surely inferior design/quality on their side.Read more

On 7/27/24 I was driving my 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid with approximately 17,500 miles on the New York State Thruway @ approximately 70 mph. I could not control the acceleration or speed of the vehicle with the gas pedal. The vehicle stayed
... at 35 mph unless I applied the brakes. I was able to exit the interstate several miles down the road and have the vehicle towed to the nearest Ford dealer. This vehicle malfunction caused an extremely dangerous situation as I was almost rear ended several times by vehicles approaching from the rear that were not aware of my lack of ability to keep up with the flow of traffic. Ford repaired the vehicle 3 days later. When I was at the dealer picking up the car I was informed this is a very common problem with the Hybrid model. The radiator cooling fan and cooling fan assembly failed. I do not have the failed fan available any longer. The cooling fan failed during a heat wave, thankfully I was at a gas station when it failed. Had I not been at a gas station, I would have been stranded in Northern Maine with my [XXX] infant, my elderly mother, and my service dog in excessive heat for hours while waiting for a tow truck.
... My infant could easily overheat and die in such temperatures. This is a frequent recurring issue in all Nissan Rogue Sports from years 2017 through at least 2022. Forums for Nissan Rogues are filled with complaints of the radiator cooling fan failing (some at 27k miles and often around 67k miles), many complaints occuring in the laat month. Nissan is aware of these issues, many people having the dealership repair the vehicle and others (myself included) complaining to Nissan Corporate itself. The problem has been confirmed by both dealerships and independent service centers. My component was inspected by the service center. I am unsure who else may have inspected others failed fans. There were no warning lights or messages prior to failure. Two days prior to the failure (roughly 48hrs), I had an issue were my AC suddenly stopped working unless the vehicle was in motion, thinking I needed the AC recharged, I made plans to have that done at the next oil change. I now know that this was likely my radiator fan starting to fail. I had no other symptoms of the problem prior to the fan failing completely and nearly overheating my engine. My car has an extremely bad rough idle. I’ve had an alignment done, new tires, new spark plugs. I’ve done so much work to this car. I have done some extremely deep research and it is a VERY common issue in the 2013 Dodge dart. One thing I also read, is it could be caused due to all of the ground point nuts being painted over, not creating a strong circuit for the ground. That should be a recal
... l because I cannot physically replace all of those nuts. If that’s not the issue, there needs to be an investigation to figure out why this car feels like it will stall out, or I’m going to lose a tire going 65 on the interstate. Something isn’t right with this car and the dealership needs to diagnose it for free knowing it’s such a common issue! I have a very trusted, fully certified mechanic, he has looked at my car, and he is stumped too. No one can figure this outRead more

We've owned this vehiclenot even 4 years. It had an engine recall that it was part of. It says it was repaired, however it never recieved a new engine. Now I just spent $9,000+ to replace the entire engine because of the exact issue of the recall: metal fragments in the engine. Why did I pay for this recall problem? Did dodge replace the engine during the recall? Paperwork says no, but
... shows it was "repaired". If it was replaced, why did I replace it again for the exact same issue? Dodge has financially ruined our family. Besides this $9k we've spent $6k on engine work before the new engine, $4,500 on transmission work (with more to come as we're currently experiencing transmission issues) and $6k + on all kinds of issues that has never occurred on any vehicles I have owned in the last 30 years. And we've spent all this in under 4 years. This is unacceptable! For an american auto maker to produce and sell vehicles like this. This is why we people buy foreign. This dodge IS NOT a well built, trustworthy and dependable car. You won't believe how many times we've had to miss school and work because the car was broken down or being repaired. Our Honda civic was 20 years old, ran better and was 100% dependable. I never had to replace the engine, do ANY transmission work or have had half the problems with my civic than I have had and currently have with this "american" car that is only 11 years old. As a 1 income family with 2 kids in college and one still in high school, this is completely devastating to us. Trying to save money and get ahead and ALL OF IT has been spent fixing this vehicle. Dodge has completely devastated our family. How can an American auto maker be allowed to get away with producing vehicles like this? Why should I have to go bankrupt owning a dodge? Why won't they accept responsibility for their defective product? I've spent $25,000 fixing this dodge in 4 years. I can't afford to fix it or buy a new car. We're ruinedRead more

I had called Toyota colonial dealership in Milford CT. After briefly speaking with the service representative, he advised that it’s most likely the engine coolant bypass valve. He said that it is common with my car models. I did some extra research and found out that many others were having the same issue from only having the car for a few years.
