A Toyota advertisement for an optional subscription service, called Drive connect, takes over the display randomly, including when I am using the display for directions with GPS. There have been many instances where I have been using the display for directions, when this banner takes over the screen, and I have to abruptly reach over and turn it off so that I can continue following the directions.
... I have missed turnoffs because of this. And I do not think that it is safe to have to reach over suddenly to switch the display back to GPS again. ... d even though I’ve had a tune up, I’ve called Jaguar consumer services to find out about past recall details and was advised that information wasn’t available to them if the services were actually completed or just cleared out & I’d have to call the service center that completed the recall/repairs. It’s impossible to do so as I’m not the original owner. Jaguar advised they couldn’t help and this is very common for the power train in these vehicles to malfunction however the manufacturer isn’t being accountable. Also when I checked the recalls on NHTSA & Jaguar websites It indicated there’s no recalls, however when I called Jaguar consumer services I was advised of 2 recalls/campaigns that relate to the engine light. I’ve had a similar issue with a Range Rover that we checked for recalls and they were cleared from under the vin but the service wasn’t performed and when we experienced the issue we were charged on 2 occasions and once I discover the issue previously had a recall they refunded one of the issues, they’re all under the same umbrella and truly need to be investigated. I hope more people learn about reporting these issues to the nhtsa and other outlets instead of just reporting to Jaguar because they truly only want to get money out of the situation and don’t want to be accountable for the defects of there vehicles.Read more

My daughters car started having steering issues. We took the car to the Honda dealer we bought the car from for repair. Instead of addressing the recall they stated the steering issue wasn't a recall issue but when the car's vin number is pulling up a recall for steering. We took the vehicle to another Honda dealer for a second opinion and again they said the steering issue wasn't part of the reca
... ll. Neither dealer mentioned anything about repair the recall, they said the steering issue wasn't part of the recall. The second dealership stated "even if we wanted to fix the steering issue found we could because the parts aren't available for 4 to 6 months" then tried to sell us a new car. I have all this information in writing from both dealership. Both dealerships charged us a service fee for the diagnosis when we were just asking for the recall to be repaired. I filed a complaint with Honda an their investigation consisted of calling the dealership to ask what the diagnosis was, no actual investigation was ever conducted. Honda said they couldn't help us. The recall has never been addressed. They wanted us to pay $3000 or $4000 for the repairs, my daughter was the first owner of this vehicle. We find it to be suspicious that a brand new vehicle has steering issues after 2 years of ownership and coincidently Honda put out a recall for steering issues but it's not part of the recall. The diagnosis paperwork from the dealership we received specifically stated the exact same thing the recall stated on the Honda website. We need help.Read more

Anytime I drive on the highway, the steering wheel begins to stick, causing me to need more force to correct, which causes overcorrection. It's extremely frustrating and almost every time someone is following me, they call to ask if I'm all right due to

This can be a serious safety issue because of constant swerving due to how difficult it is to correct the car in the lane without overcorrecting, starting an overcorrection snowball. My Kia Niro 2017 began losing antifreeze back in January of 2024. Upon inspection by Folsom Lake KIA they determined that the EGR needed to be replaced. The dealership made the repair under my third-party warranty that I purchased when I bought the car preowned in 2020 (22,000 miles). In August 2024 the engine began to overheat triggering and engine light. The car had approximately 90,000 mile
... s on it at the time. The antifreeze was gone, and I filled it up and took it to the dealership a few weeks later when they had an available appointment. They were not able to diagnose the issue during that visit. They said that I had to schedule a multiday appointment to get a diagnostic done. In the meantime, I was adding antifreeze every few days to keep the reservoir full. I took the car back to Folsom Lake KIA on October 14th and received a diagnostic on the 17th that the vehicle's heat exchange recover system was leaking the antifreeze into the exhaust which burns off as a white smoke. The recommendation was to replace the entire heat exchanger. I decided to do some research and found find out what exactly this part does. I discovered that it simply warms up the antifreeze faster using the engine exhaust and shuts off when the coolant temperature reaches a setpoint. After further research on the internet, it became clear to me that this is a systemic issue with these vehicles, but no recall has been made. My warranty claim was denied due to the part not being covered. When I took it to an independent shop, they said that the part was not available from anyone, but KIA and they said that there was no price listed, and you had to contact KIA for the part. KIA quoted 3,000.00 for the part and labor to replace the heat exchanger. All of this just seems very suspect. I believe KIA knows this is a systemic problem but refuse to recall the part. Instead, they are making a bundle replacing this part. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.Read more
