I was driving , when I heard a strange noise. Luckily I was about a mile from work. I listened more, Checked my check engine lights, as I was passing the local ford dealership. They were not on. I proceeded to the stop light. My car began to miss. I had just put gas in, I assumed it was bad gas, still no engine lights. I made it 3 blocks it started missing bad, going through an intersection. Now
... its making a bubbling noise. No check engine, but the heat gage is half the way up. I stop in a driveway. put it in park for 15 minutes, to cool it down. I restart my car, I move it 4 yards to park along the street. Now my car will not move at all. We had it towed to the dealership. My engine is ruined. I did not drive my car more then a mile after the noise of what the dealership said, was system blowing up, that's in the engine. As a result this has blown my engine and I now need a new one. We had just been on vacation from Ohio to the Sault Saint Marie, Michigan. My husband checked fluids, added a little of both oil and Antifreeze before we left on Oct 17, 24. There was no antifreeze in the oil or oil in the antifreeze. We were only back a day when this happened . When the radiator blew up, it never set off my check engine lights. Even when the vehicle could no longer move, there were no check engine lights on. My vehicle was making a bubbling sound, yet my hot gages never went completely to hot. At the most the were about 3/4 of the way. The radiator blew and in a few short minutes my engine completely locked, this happening within a mile. Lucky for me, I was in a small town, when it occurred. Its been 3 weeks and I am still waiting on an engine. I have been told its because so many of the explores are having the same issue. I have to come up with 10,000.00 to replace the engine of a vehicle I still owe on. It just turned 100,000 miles in MichiganRead more

A 2020 Ford Escape that was purchased in new condition in September of 2020. The vehicle has had numerous issues with transmission failure as well as the failure of other engine/transmission components causing drivability and safety issues such as hard shifting, not shifting, and not accelerating properly. I was not informed of Ford's buyback program until August 28, 2024, when a friend who had

On October 20, 2024 we called Ford Motor Corp Consumer Affairs to follow up on the case and they advised the application for buyback was denied since it had not been submitted within the 30 month period as outlined in Texas Lemon Law. We were advised that the only way I could seek remedy was via BBB complaint. I need assistance to advocate for my consumer rights related to Lemon Law and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Another issue was however found with the airbags and repaired. I was told to get vehicle as it was fine. Since then the noise has occurred on 3 seperate occasions. Additionally while driving with lane control the vehicle has 2 twice left lane on highway forcing me to correct. While driving the car, car stalled and began displaying the lightning bolt icon on the cluster. The power steering stopped working and the brake was very stiff and hard to depress. I pulled off the road and waited a few minutes and started the car again. The idle was very rough, icon was still displayed on the cluster, and car began jerking and stalled again. I had the vehicle towed to the house a
... nd began looking into the issue. Error codes read on the car was P0365: Camshaft Position Sensor “B” Circuit, and the red lightning bolt indicating an issue with the electronic throttle body. The battery was taken out and tested bad so it was replaced. The throttle body was cleaned and tested good. When I tried to start the car after the codes were cleared, the vehicle attempted to start but wasn't able to turn over fully. The P0365 code returned. I then had a mechanic come check out the car to see if he could do anything to help. He determined that the valves in the engine were bent and the cars timing was off. With all of this being said, This issue I am complaining about is the P0365 Camshaft sensor code. There was a recall for the camshaft sensors in some 2016 Dodge Journeys but my VIN did not fall in that range. When I called FCA, I was told there was nothing to be done because my VIN wasn't included in the recall. A bad camshaft sensor would cause all of the issues that I am experiencing with the car. If the sensor is bad or doesn't perform as it should, it could effect the overall timing of the engine's firing sequence, causing stalling, failure to start, and damage to the engine, like in my case with the bent valves. This incident posed a severe safety risk to myself and the other drivers around me due to the loss of power steering and partial loss of braking ability. Luckily this incident did not occur on the interstate or major highway, where there are speeds in excess of 55 mph.Read more

I am writing to express my concerns regarding a malfunction in my vehicle, specifically related to the airbags and the steering angle sensor or possibly the steering wheel itself. Initially, I began hearing a constant clicking sound coming from the steering wheel or its vicinity whenever I make turns, particular

Shortly after this sound started, I discovered that my horn is not functioning, which prevents me from alerting other drivers or signaling my presence on the road. This has made me feel unsafe while driving, as I have had several close calls with other vehicles. Due to these issues, I sought mechanical assistance in addition to my regular maintenance. My car has been at the auto care shop for over a month, as this is their first encounter with this problem. They have proposed several solutions, but they are not confident that any of them will completely resolve the issue. I believe this malfunction poses a risk to both myself and others on the road, and I am seeking assistance from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Prior to the onset of the clicking sounds, there were no warning signals, but I did notice an airbag warning light had appeared. I am concerned about the potential for the airbags to either deploy unexpectedly or fail to deploy in the event of an accident. Fortunately, I have not yet experienced a situation that required their use. I will attach the documents from my mechanical visit. The car is still at that location and is available for inspection upon request. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope to receive guidance on how to proceed. Thank you.Read more
