I am contacting you regarding a critical engine failure in my 2021 Chevrolet Suburban LT, which is equipped with the L84 5.3L V8 engine. Due to a valve lifter malfunction, the engine suffered catastrophic failure, with metal shavings found throughout the oil system and internal components. I’ve been quoted approximately $14,000 by the dealership/service center to replace the engine, and the veh
... icle is currently awaiting repair. I was driving the car with my son when the vehicle began to shake, make ticking noises, and the check engine light went on. I pulled off the road and several error codes popped up including "Service ESC" and "Service Traction Control." This is the second time that a lifter valve has failed on this vehicle. In 2022, the lifter valves on the left side were replaced under warranty. It appears one of the left side lifter valves failed again, this time causing significant cam shaft damage and damaging the engine. Given that this issue appears to be affecting many owners with similar engine configurations, I would appreciate your assistance in investigating this matter to see if these issues stem from possible manufacturing defects which could result in engine damage or failure. I reached out to General Motors to ask if I qualify for extended coverage or any known service programs to address this situation and they told me I should talk to the dealership because they are unwilling to offer assistance. I've attached receipts for repair of the lifter valve in 2022 and the current diagnosis of engine failure, cam shaft damage, and lifter valve failure. This vehicle is only four years old and was regularly serviced by General Motors. It is available for further inspection. Please let me know what other documentation or information you require. Thank you.Read more

Transmission has begun to slip in first gear and has shaking noticeable between 35-45 miles an hour and again much more noticeable shaking from 55-65 miles an hour. For some reason our vehicle is not included in this recall. It is available
... for inspection, and I have contacted a dealer that already informed me the issue is not under the recall, but that the transmission is going bad and will probably no longer function by the end of this year due to the pump failure. I am not sure why our vehicle would have been excluded from this recall as this is a known issue. There are no check engine lights on and we were told by the dealership that the lights would not come on until the transmission failed due to the pump issue not a low fluid or sensor issue. I am going to have a second mechanic look at the vehicle tomorrow and I can provide further information at that point.Read more

I own a Tesla Model X, and for the past two summers I’ve experienced a repeating safety-critical issue during hot weather. After driving for a period in the heat, multiple systems begin to fail. The car displays numerous warnings including: •“Parking brake requires service” •“Traction control disabled” •“Stability control disabled” •“Steering assist reduced” •“Automat
... ic Emergency Braking unavailable” •“Regenerative braking unavailable” •“Lane Departure Avoidance unavailable” When this happens, the steering wheel becomes very stiff and hard to turn, which severely affects my ability to drive and control the vehicle. I’ve brought the vehicle to Tesla service twice. The first time (when it was still under warranty), they said they couldn’t replicate the issue. The second time, I brought it in while the warnings were still active. Tesla only cleaned some sensors and returned the car, but the issue returned again recently with all the same symptoms. This only happens in hot weather. Once the car cools down, the errors disappear. This intermittent issue is difficult for the service center to replicate, but it presents a serious safety risk, especially because steering and braking functions are compromised. I believe this is a deeper electrical or software issue affecting multiple safety systems under thermal stress. The issue has not been resolved, and the vehicle remains dangerous to drive in high temperatures.Read more

It is absolutely unacceptable that a brand-new Jeep product could exhibit such a fundamental reliability defect, and even more troubling that no proactive support or acknowledgment has been provided to affected consumers like myself. This is disgraceful, inexcusable, and beneath the standards expected of any automaker, let alone one that charges a premium for its products. This situation also raises serious questions about the strategic direction the company may have taken under their former CEO, Carlos Tavares, whose well-documented focus on near-term cost-cutting and margin improvements appears to be manifesting in subpar quality control and dangerous engineering compromises. Over the past year and a half, I have experienced increasing pain in my right knee from frequent driving. I have reported this issue at every service visit, but the dealership has dismissed it as “normal.” I am currently pursuing medical evaluation and have submitted a formal complaint to Jeep requesting a full brake diagnostic and written report. I am filing this complaint to document what I believe is a design or calibration flaw that poses an ergonomic and long-term health risk to drivers. Honda’s Auto Idle Stop (AIS) system fails to restart the engine from a complete stop at traffic lights, road intersection or when stopped in traffic when the Auto Start/Stop function is engaged. This has required the driver to shift the transmission to park to allow the engine to restart, once this did not work requiring a jump start in the middle of a busy intersection. Honda service has stated
