The air conditioning system did not blow cold air. The temperature in the car rose quickly without the AC working. The dealer services recharged it and tried to find leaks, but did not find them. Dye was added and I need to go back to the dealer if warm air is blown again. Recently I’ve heard AC issues from other drivers too about this model of Toyota cars.

... ell if it was a power issue or a transmission issue. I was traveling about 60mph on a freeway thankfully in the right lane the vehicle suddenly shut off with no warning. I had no power, brakes did work and I could steer and I was able to make it to the area between the main lanes of the freeway and the lane of an onramp. Once stopped I attempted to restart the vehicle and nothing happened. We were stuck. Onstar was contacted and a tow to a dealership was arranged. A sheriff deputy stationed his vehicle behind us to provide protection until the tow truck arrived. The vehicle is now at a GCM dealer and I have been told the engine has locked up and needs a complete replacement. I have no other information in those regards. There is a long back order for new engines and the estimate is at 4 weeks. I did see the check engine light flash 3 times and then go off for a while then start again, but we were no where close to home and it was somewhat late at night. I also had coworkers in the vehicle taking them back to our office. At this point this is as much as I know but thankfully i was already in the right lane or this might have been a much more difficult situation. [XXX] was driving the 2014 F150 on a multi lane state road in the afternoon on a sunny and dry afternoon. The vehicle was traveling straight with steady traffic at an intense rate of speed (approximately 45-50 mph) when it all of a changed gears and became difficult for the [XXX] to control, causing the vehicle to hit a guard rail. In July 2022, the VANOS bolts in my 2011 BMW X3 xDrive28i failed, causing major internal engine damage. This is the exact defect later identified under BMW Recall 23V-707. The bolts sheared off while driving, disabling the vehicle. I paid $5,000 out of pocket for full repairs using OEM parts at Masny Motorwerks (BMW specialist in Rochester, NY). ... ears later. At that time, there was no remedy available. A fix was not released until December 2024. I followed BMW’s reimbursement process: I visited BMW of Rochester in person on January 28, 2025 and submitted my invoice to the service advisor. I followed up by phone twice — no response. I submitted a full reimbursement claim to BMW North America on March 31, 2025 with all documentation. BMW replied on April 8 with a boilerplate response redirecting me back to the same dealership. I then followed up again with full documentation. BMW replied again, refusing to take responsibility and offering no support. I have submitted everything twice and followed the TREAD Act process in good faith. BMW has failed to reimburse me or process the claim properly.Read more

While driving my 2022 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2L truck, it somehow turned off. I placed it on neutral and tried to turn on, but it didn’t. I maneuvered to stop at the side of the road, but I was not close enough to the curb making it uncomfortable for others to drive around. I tried again to turn on the truck, but it didn’t. ... g lights on the truck. I gave it a break and tried to turn in the truck, but it didn’t. I called GM roadside asst., and I got towed to the closed GM Services. They found out that battery was damaged, and an open starter fuse damaged. They changed the battery, the fuse block, and did the multi-point vehicle inspection (MPVI), and everything seemed good. I picked up my truck, and on my way back home the engine stopped running. At this time I get into a left turn lane, and I was able to stop before the stop line. This time I was in the middle of the road. I turned on the Hazard Warning Lights, but too many cars turning left pass through making it dangerous to my safety and others. I called the service department where my truck was serviced and GM roadside asst., and it got towed to the same service place. All this process was again around 2 hours in the middle of the road. They checked the truck, and found out that the battery was damaged, and an open starter fuse again. They changed, but this time they kept it on test to the next day and the starter fuse was damaged again. They found that the engine was locked, which is why the starter heats up and the amperage consumption increases, opening the fuse, the engine does not turn easily, the oil is at the correct level, it does not indicate low pressure in the initial driving test. They removed the oil pan and found metal particles in the oil and in the pan. After that they removed the rod bearings and can see that they are scratched and overheated, crankshaft scratched as well. Need order a new engine, oil cooler, oil cooler lines.Read more

The dealer has now had my truck for weeks and won’t let me drive it until they resolve the issue with a new inverter which is on back order with no updates on arrival.Read more

These models were recalled on March 9, 2009 NHTSA CAMPAIGN 09v076000. my vin number apparently did not fall within the selected vin numbers. However my auto even though it is the same year as the recall has this same exact defect and condition and is deemed to be a fire hazard. what are my options.

The steering is sticky at highway speeds like something is wrong with the steering input. The steering doesn't react then all of a sudden the steering wheel releases and over compensates requiring a quick opposite steering input. Difficult to drive on the highway. A real safety issue.
