Ever since I bought this vehicle, I have been having issues with it registering the key, which keeps causing an automatic security alert system to shut down my vehicle the moment I start it. I've already replaced the battery to my car. I've already had locksmiths examined the issue and nobody can seem to find the problem. The issue with the car is definitely a security issue. The car shuts dow
... n automatically and goes into theft mode which prevents me from driving my vehicle. That could be a result to a software malfunction or something but it doesn't register the keys which originally sets off the security warning. Whenever the car does register the key it drives and operates just fine. It's the computer that prevents me from driving it or whatever automatic system that is related to theft mode.Read more

The transmission went out and completely immobilized the car while driving. My wife was driving the car on a 45mph public road, approached a roundabout that had a single entry lane where she attempted to enter. After trying to safely enter the roundabout, then engine revved but the car did not move. If she let it sit, the transmission would eventually engage but surge into gear, and she was able t
... o eventually operate the vehicle to get it to a safe spot until it could be towed. I requested a transmission drain and fill from the dealership at about 55,000 miles, but the service writer declined to have the service done because the service interval from ford is listed at 150,000 miles. The service writer told me the transmission fluid was in a sealed system and would not need to be replaced yet based on my usage for the car, which is largely city/suburban driving with longer trips mixed in where i was not towing.Read more

Warning lights triggered snd certain electrical vehicle functions affected. Lexus Plano dealer states that wiring is soy based and destroyed by rodents attracted to the wiring and chewing it with result that critical vehicle functions affected and lights, brakes, etc. may not work resulting in crash. Wanted more than $10,000 to rewire vehicle and refused to make repairs under vehicles’ warranty.
... Apparently common knowledge that Toyota and Lexus are using soy wiring that attract rodents and other animals to eat the wiring. I believe that crashes may be occurring because of chewed through soy wiring and misdiagnosed as driver error, brake, failure, fires, lights out, or other causes because no one is investigating wiring that caused crash. Wiring should be recalled as it poses death, injury, and property damage risks with manufacturers and dealers knowing of the defective wiring and of the risks but intentionally hiding the information, failing to warn, and then making huge profits from the expensive over-priced repairs that are unnecessary if proper wiring is used. We have dealer invoices and repair estimates snd other communications.Read more

GM recently recalled over 500,000 car engines. The warning signs to look out for was a “knocking” sound coming from the engine. I had recently experienced the same issues that the recalled car engines were experiencing. I went to get it checked out and my mechanic said there were chunks of metal in the engine. The GM engine recall should include 2017 GMC TERRAINS SLT. If I had not got it looke

I took it straight to a place to have them check it and change the oil again just until I could get it to the dealership a few days later. I was advised to have an oil consumption test done. On the 3rd time, which would have been around 3000 miles, it had already consumed more than a quart of oil. They did a borescope and confirmed that the pistons are bad and because of this the inside of the engine is scored. Now I need a new engine on a vehicle that I've taken perfect care of. I believe that this vehicle should be included in the GM recall with the other 6.2 engines as this is also a 6.2 engine in the same year range. While driving cross-country, my 2021 Chevrolet Suburban Z71 (5.3L V8) experienced several progressive symptoms leading to total engine failure. For months prior, there was a noticeable coolant smell from the engine bay despite no visible leaks. Multiple Chevy/GM shops noted the smell, and pressure tests showed no external coolant loss. On the trip to Colorado, the engine ran normally, but at idle,
... the temperature would steadily rise to ~235°F before fans would engage. Upon arrival in Colorado, I found the coolant reservoir was low again. The final time the vehicle started, it shook violently at idle for nearly a minute before settling. The next day, it would crank but failed to start, and has not started since. There were no check engine lights or warning messages at the time of failure. A GM dealership has since diagnosed the engine as “locked up” and quoted a $14,500 remanufactured engine replacement (GM Part 19420610). I’ve been told my engine is the 5.3L V8 (RPO L84), which is currently not included in GM’s safety recall 25V-274 affecting similar failures in the 6.2L L87 engines. Right before this occurred, I had a NC inspection (passed), a fresh oil change the same day, and had coolant added. This failure happened without warning, while traveling out of state, leaving the vehicle stranded in a garage and requiring towing. The situation presented a safety risk and significant financial burden. Given the similarities in symptoms and failure type to the recalled L87 engines, I believe this may be a related manufacturing issue.Read more

On 11/20/2024 I spoke to Denise Sanchez , she is the service manager for KIA and the reason of the call was about a complaint from Joel Sambrano one of her associates that was very unprofessional when I first called to set up the appointment for the recall. On 11/24/2024, I had a towing company delivered my 2013 KIA Forte to the service department at the Laredo KIA dealership for a recall on the

I was upset with her because twice I had spoken to her about me taking the vehicle there and she was telling me that I didn't. Three weeks passed and I never heard of the dealership, so I called them and requested to speak to her, she informed me that my vehicle was parked in the back still and that they haven't had my vehicle checked because I did not have an appointment. So I told her that since she took it upon herself to do that, I was going to file a complaint against her with I did with corporate office. I was given this case#[XXX] by Monica, and she said that she will call me back with the status of my vehicle. A week passed and I got a call from the Laredo KIA dealership telling me that I had to go to the dealership to pick up my battery, and take them back the battery after it was recharged or a new battery because my vehicle won't start. That sounded to me very offensive so I told her that it wasn't my fault that the manager kept my vehicle all that time there, so the battery got damaged also so that was her fault and she needed to deal with that situation. There are multiple outstanding Recalls for the Fisker Ocean, yet my VIN returned no active Recalls even though it recognized my car. This doesn't make much sense to me. There are currently at least two critical safety issues that reached recall status, related to the Driver's Door Handle and the Electric Water Pump. Reimbursement is required by both the NHTSA and bankruptcy court and the court des

I need to have both the door handle and water pump recalls performed by a FISKER (FOA) approved servicing center, for the sake of my safety and the safety of others on the road when I drive my vehicle. There is currently no process by which receipts can be submitted and payments received, or for service providers to be reimbursed directly by American Lease. This violates both the court's order as well as NHTSA regulations and laws. This is going to leave me out nearly $1000, which I am, legally, not supposed to be paying, just to keep my car in somewhat safe condition for driving. In the midst of driving my vehicle, soon after exiting the expressway. I received a notification across the dashboard stating to press the brake to start engine. At that point I realized that my car had sh

This was a very scary moment because I felt as if I could have very easily caused an accident and injured or cost the life of myself or an innocent person. The engine shut down was not evident because all the dashboard lights were still functioning as normal. I don't feel safe driving the vehicle and would very much like to replace with something else, but I feel stuck with it. Dealership says that the vehicle depreciation for one year was $10,000.00 and that I will have to roll that 10k into the price of any new vehicle if I wanted to get out of the current lease. That makes the purchase of newer, safer vehicle unaffordable for me, so again I feel stuck driving something that could have very easily cost me my life.Read more

The engine on my 22 Sierra began knocking at 23,000 miles . The engine i have is a 6.2. It was already scheduled for a front grill recall at the dealer and I had concerns for the knocking issues. I had no lights on the dash or a performance issue at the time. The dealer said they heard the knocking and wanted to take the oil filter off to confirm engine failure. The found metal shavings in the fi

NEW 2024 Versa S 5 speed purchased in Aug 2024 from Jim Click Nissan Dealership in Tucson, AZ. I brought it in to Nissan dealership 2 months later 4200 mi, for complaints of surging, fluctuating fan speeds with air conditioning on high & to check alternator. They couldn’t reproduce problem. It continues to persist to this day as I write this on 4/20/25. Alternator values show 13.46 V with load
... off, 12.29 V with load on. Nissan Dealership denies alternator or ac fan problems and no action taken despite 3 service visits/complaints. On [XXX] I attempted to accelerate out of the dealership parking lot. With no warning signs or check engine light, car had power loss and unable to accelerate: RPMs would rev to 3500 in gears 1-3 but car would only reach 35 mph max with full throttle. In 4th gear, max throttle, engine RPM’s would not exceed 2250 RPM’s. I continued through 4 miles of local street traffic to reach home, including an anxious moment making a left turn at traffic light narrowly missing oncoming traffic due to loss of acceleration. When I arrived home, I shut off engine and after 10 seconds restarted it and the problem was gone and able to drive normally. This was the first episode ever and experienced at 21,720 miles, and recurred again the following day after stalling on an incline at a right corner traffic light. I Immediately restarted the ignition and applied throttle to ascend the incline and to avoid rolling backward to hit the car behind me, only to lose power & stall again. No check engine or warning lights displayed. After another attempted engine restart, I was able to advance & car drove normally. This limp mode power loss can be reproduced after engine stall from rapid clutch pedal release, followed by engine restart. Autozone alternator test on 4/19/25 revealed “charging system failure.” On 4/22/25, Nissan Dealership unable to reproduce limp mode despite my explicit instructions to quickly release clutch to stall, then restart.
