My rear backup camera has been malfunctioning for several months now. When it decides to work at all, it flips the image from left to right and vice versa. Other times the backup camera doesn’t even work. And sometimes it has yellowish lines going through the images which distorts other cars behind me even more. Ford needs to fix this at no cost to me. There’s a recall on their other backup

ting to formally report an ongoing and unresolved safety issue with my vehicle that poses a serious risk both to myself and others on the road. The core issue appears to involve high-voltage faults and CAN bus voltage exceeding threshold limits—likely tied to the vehicle’s telematics system. Despite this, the vehicle is currently not communicating properly, and the diagnostics data are incons
... istent or inaccessible. Here are the key concerns: •The vehicle has shut down multiple times while in motion, creating a dangerous situation. •It is only achieving ~10 MPG, a drastic drop from expected efficiency. •I was explicitly told not to drive it until the problem is resolved due to safety concerns. •The dealership has refused to repair the issue and has provided false information regarding diagnostic codes, which I’ve recorded for documentation. •This problem has persisted for nearly a year without resolution. At this point, I’m left with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate and a dealer network unwilling to take accountability. I’m requesting a formal investigation into this matter, as it may reflect a broader systemic or manufacturer-level issue affecting others as well. I can provide supporting documentation, service records, and recordings of diagnostic readouts as needed. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

Vehicle Information: 2014 Ford F-150 VIN [XXX] Transmission: 6R80 Description of the problem: My 2014 Ford F-150 has a dangerous transmission issue. It suddenly downshifts from higher gears (like 4th or 5th) into 1st gear while driving, without warning. This creates a serious risk of loss of control or rear-end collision. Ford performed the recall for the 6R80 PCM reprogramming, but the issue pe
... rsists. The problem was not resolved, and the vehicle still downshifts abruptly. My vehicle has over 200,000 miles, so the extended warranty for the lead frame (program 19N01) no longer applies, but this is a serious safety defect that continues after the recall. I’m requesting that the NHTSA investigate this issue, as it seems the recall fix is not effective in all cases. Many other owners report similar symptoms even after the recall. Safety concern: I feel unsafe driving this vehicle. The transmission can cause a sudden deceleration in traffic, and I fear it may lead to an accident. I am reporting two major electrical-related failures in my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that raise serious safety concerns. In February 2025, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete battery failure with no warning. No lights or messages appeared. I was left stranded and had to tow the vehicle. The dealership found that one battery had completely failed and required replacement, while t
... he second battery had to be recharged. No clear cause was identified. This raised concerns about a deeper electrical or charging system issue. On [XXX], the vehicle became completely inoperable again while I was traveling out of state. I was stranded in Iowa and had to tow the vehicle to a certified Jeep dealership. They diagnosed that the wiring harness connectors to the fuel pump were stuck open, causing the connector to overheat and fail. This required full replacement of the wiring harness, which involves dropping the fuel tank. There were no warning lights, messages, or drivability issues prior to the failure. Electrical overheating in a component directly tied to the fuel system poses a serious fire and safety hazard. As of today, the vehicle remains at the dealership, and I have been without transportation since [XXX]. I opened a case with Stellantis, but my case manager has not provided any updates. Stellantis has now told me I must coordinate with the dealership to request goodwill repair assistance, despite the urgency and safety-critical nature of the failure. These are not typical issues for a well-maintained vehicle. I urge NHTSA to investigate this as a potential electrical defect that may pose a broader safety risk to other owners. Subject: Engine Recall (KR15) Ignored – Engine Noise Ongoing + Misleading Tailgate Lock Repair Offer – Lost Trust in Dealership I bought my 2023 Nissan Rogue brand new from this dealership two years ago. Recently, I’ve experienced multiple issues with both the car and the service, leading to frustration and loss of trust. ⸻ 🔧 1. Engine Recall Ignored – Still Making Noise I went in
... for a recall service months ago. The service advisor (named Well) only replaced a hose and said everything else was fine, even though I told them about a knocking noise from the engine. Now, the KR15 engine bearing recall has been issued, and the noise is still happening. The dealer continues to dismiss it, but I am seriously concerned about potential engine damage or failure. I am requesting a full, proper inspection and repair under this recall. ⸻ 🚪 2. Tailgate Lock – Misleading Advice and Pressure to Pay Around 3 months ago, I visited the dealer because my tailgate lock wasn’t opening, after I had broken the tailgate glass myself earlier. They told me: “Your lock is working fine. There’s just broken glass inside — once we vacuum it, everything will be okay.” But the next day, another employee told me: “No, your lock is actually broken. You need a full lock replacement for $893.65.” This surprised me because they had just told me the lock was fine. After I expressed concern, they negotiated the price down to $500 flat. Due to financial difficulty, I couldn’t proceed at the time. I’m attaching the invoice they gave me for proof. This change in opinion and pressure to pay left me confused and feeling misled. It added stress, and I now feel I cannot fully trust the dealership’s service recommendations. ⸻ 📌 3. What I Am Requesting: 1.A proper inspection and repair of the KR15 engine bearing issue and engine noise under the recall. 2.A review of the tailgate lock experience and explanation for the inconsistent service advice and price negotiation. 3.Clear communicatioRead more

I own a 2021 GMC Denali with a 6.2L V8 L87 engine and 45,500 miles. I have confirmed the presence of metal shavings in the oil and oil filter, indicating that the engine is beginning to fail. When I took the vehicle to my local dealership, I was informed that there is currently no fix for this issue and was advised to continue driving the vehicle. This poses a serious safety risk—not just to me
... and my family but also to others on the road. A sudden loss of power could lead to a dangerous accident, and I do not want to be responsible for something preventable that could harm innocent people. My concern is that GM is aware of this engine issue but has instructed me to keep driving the vehicle, despite the known defect. How can GM be allowed to avoid accountability for such a critical safety matter? If a fatal accident were to occur, would the responsibility fall on GM or the NHTSA for failing to act? It’s also troubling that GM continues to profit by selling new vehicles, including the 2025 models, with similar issues, all while neglecting to provide solutions for affected customers like me. I purchased this $80,000 truck in good faith, but now no dealer wants to trade or buy these trucks without me taking a significant financial loss—something GM should be responsible for. As a taxpayer, I find it unacceptable that we bailed out GM in the mid-2000s, yet they continue to disregard accountability for their actions. I urge the NHTSA to take this issue seriously. A specific deadline should be set for GM to resolve this issue, and they should face daily penalties for every day they fail to provide a fix. If no resolution is possible, full refunds should be mandated. Please address this issue promptly, as it affects real people’s safety and financial well-being every day.Read more

I am the owner of a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL with the 2.0L turbo engine, and I am writing to report a fuel leak issue that I believe is related to Recall Y10 / NHTSA Campaign 21V-665, which involves the high-pressure fuel supply line (Part #68297642AD). My vehicle is experiencing a strong fuel smell and visible fuel leak, and a technician confirmed the failure of the fuel line. However, my VIN does

Given that my Jeep has the same engine, same part number, and identical symptoms described in the official recall — I’m requesting one of the following: That the dealer be allowed to inspect the fuel line’s date code and replace it under Recall Y10 if it falls within the affected range, or That Jeep/Stellantis cover the cost of the repair as a goodwill safety-related assistance, since the failure occurred outside the normal warranty but is consistent with the recall defect. ... sues, so it wasn't just our vehicle. Your company is in the business of producing sophisticated and desirable vehicles designed by engineers who can cover all the bases in the manufacturing process. With the exception of this faulty paint issue, KIA has achieved this goal. I can only hope that KIA recognized this paint failure early and will go on to the next design phase. 1n my humble opinion, if KIA wants to keep growing the company brand they need to work like crazy to get to the next level in the paint process. Buyers want to have confidence that things as simple as a paint job will have a long life. Interesting when you look at very old vehicles for sale and the owners say this is the original paint. Thus, my question is how will KIA remedy this issue with both current and future model owners? l await your reply. I hope KIA will share a disclosure that is fundamental and not try to hide or mislead.Read more
