The exterior door handle latch release switch fails to open the door. This issue happened to all 4 exterior doors. The problem starts with intermittently, then progresses to complete failure. Once it fails, the entire door handle needs to be replaced. If all 4 doors fail, the only way to access the car is with the Emergency Key or if you activated the Remote Window Down. This only works if you
... have access to the key. If you left your keys in the car, the car would lock (even if running) then your only option is to fiddle with the switch in hopes of activating it or crawl through the trunk (if you're small enough). If an infant or a pet is in the car, then that could lead to problems. Also if you pass out and emergency responders came out, they would have to break the window or pry the door open to gain access, which could pose a life or death situation. This is a well documented issue with this car per the Cadillac Forums. I replaced both the front door handle assemblies to repair the main access to the car. The rear handles are still inoperable. During inspection of the Handle Electronic assembly, it appears that the switch isn't fully seated against the circuit card, which causes the solder connection on the circuit card to fail.Read more

I was made aware of a recall for my 2016 Ford Explorer Sport involving the Exterior A-Pillar Appliqué molding recall#24S02 and NHTSA# 24V031 I had an inspection done on 12/30/24 and it was determined at that time it needed to be replaced, but parts were not yet available. I have since then regularly checked with the dealership to see if parts were available, but they have not become available.
... I reached out to Ford directly on 7/28/25 and was told my case was escalated and I need to work with my 'case handler' who did not contact me until 8/11/25 after I made multiple repeated requests to speak to someone. They informed me there are no parts, there is no ETA and despite assurances to the contrary(they informed me that they "...works daily with your dealership's management team." have not spoken to the service advisor at the dealership as of yet. their case number at ford is [XXX] The part flew off on the highway on [XXX] and now today, [XXX] the rubber around the windshield is coming loose. Ford continues to say they have no updates. The dealership said the last they checked, last week, there were over 30,000 orders in for this part, that Ford was no longer accepting new orders from dealers for this, and that they will not give any ETA on this being remedied. I'm concerned that more damage is being done to my vehicle and based on Ford's behavior thus far will try to not cover any additional repairs that caused by their inability to provide a repair in a reasonable and timely fashion. The vehicle has ongoing acceleration delay and jerking under normal driving, along with repeated premature rear brake wear and a major coolant leak that required head gasket replacement. The most recent incident occurred on August 8, 2025, immediately after picking up the vehicle from a service visit for the acceleration concern. Two separate throttle delays with a sudden jerk forward occurred at
... approximately 5:47 PM and 5:50 PM in moderate city traffic at 79°F. These incidents put my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk, as delayed acceleration can prevent safe merging, crossing, or passing. Within the first 25,000 miles of ownership, the vehicle has also required one rear brake replacement and a second replacement was recommended due to premature wear, which could reduce braking performance and stopping distance. Additionally, a coolant leak ultimately required head gasket replacement. Suspension components, including a knuckle, have also been replaced under warranty. The acceleration problem has been reported to authorized Volkswagen dealers, but was documented as “could not reproduce” despite occurring minutes after pickup. Coolant leak and brake issues have been confirmed and repaired or recommended for repair by dealers. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to the acceleration incidents.Read more

I have not had an incident yet. However GM itself has told us that the car has a high probability of having a major problem while driving and it has caused numerous injury related accidents. In fact, they will not let us trade the vehicle or sell the vehicle because the car is dangerous to drive. They also have no timeline on fixing the vehicle, which requires an engine replacement. This is als
... o an environmental problem as the temporary mitigation of the problem (I say mitigation because it does NOT solve the problem) significantly changes the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. GM should be forced to let us trade the vehicle back with a solid valuation of our vehicle as if the problem did not exist. No solution short of putting a new engine in the vehicle or allowing us to trade the vehicle in immediately should be acceptable. NHTSA is aware of the problem but for some reason seems to be ignoring it. When VW had an engine problem, which was not a safety hazard, VW made it right. GM has no intention of doing anything about it.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to raise serious safety concerns regarding the towing capabilities of the 2024 Toyota Sequoia. Despite its advertised towing capacity of up to 9,000 pounds, this vehicle is dangerously unstable when towing even modest travel trailers—particularly single axle models weighing around 4,500 pounds. During a recent vacation, I towed a properly loaded single axle travel
... trailer using my 2024 Sequoia. The trailer was equipped with: A weight distribution hitch Anti-sway bars Balanced tongue weight and cargo distribution Despite these precautions, the Sequoia was thrown around on the highway, requiring constant correction and resulting in a white-knuckle driving experience. My vacation was ruined, and my safety was put at risk. The trailer now sits unused in my driveway because I cannot safely tow it with this vehicle. The instability appears to stem from the Sequoia’s: Short wheelbase, which reduces towing control Soft suspension, tuned for comfort rather than trailer handling Hybrid drivetrain weight distribution, which may compromise rear-end stability These design choices make the Sequoia unsuitable for towing travel trailers, even well below its rated capacity. RV dealerships, including Camping World, routinely sell trailers to Sequoia owners based solely on the published tow rating. There is no warning or advisory provided about the vehicle’s real-world towing limitations. This practice is misleading and dangerous. I urge Toyota and the NHTSA to take the following steps: Issue a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) or formal advisory warning owners about towing instability with the Sequoia. Educate RV dealerships about the limitations of SUV towing dynamics, especially with single axle travel trailers. Investigate owner complaints and consider a broader safety review of the Sequoia’s towing performance. There are multiple online reports and forums where Sequoia owners share similar experiences. This is not an isolated incident—it is a sysRead more
