My head gasket is leaking and I saw that VW had other complaints about the engine code DNKA for year 2022 and after July 2023 the company had made a decision to redesign the head gasket and coatings. I don’t understand how this isn’t a recall just yet especially knowing that Taos 2022, has many problems than an average car. The dealership says I’m responsible for paying it but yet I have pro

Numerous defects in my 2024 Honda Civic Sport. I leased this vehicle in January 2024 for 36 months (with a $4,675 down payment and $284.62 monthly payments). From early in the lease, the car has been plagued with serious problems. Below is a chronological list of the issues my vehicle has experienced: Gearbox replacement – Feb 3, 2025 (12,792 miles): The vehicle’s transmission/gearbox failed
... catastrophically and was replaced under warranty. Axle boots replacement – Feb 19, 2025 (13,384 miles): Soon after, the front axle boots were found to be defective (leaking) and were replaced. Climate control panel failure (moisture damage) – Mar 6, 2025 (13,892 miles): The climate control and infotainment panel stopped functioning due to moisture intrusion and had to be replaced. Refusal to diagnose vibration issue – June 27, 2025 (18,116 miles): I reported a persistent and concerning vibration during driving (which could indicate an unresolved powertrain or suspension issue), but the dealership refused to perform a diagnostic or address it, returning the car to me without resolution. Steering wheel damage & falsified report – June 30, 2025: During a service visit, dealership personnel damaged the steering wheel and then provided a false report that inaccurately stated the damage was pre-existing, instead of taking responsibility. Ongoing audio system malfunctions – (continuing issue): The car’s audio system suffers from frequent USB/Bluetooth disconnections, which have persisted despite multiple service visits. The car's lane assist is triggered at random during drives almost causing several auto accidents. Every one of these issues is documented through repair orders and correspondence. I have maintained a file with all relevant service records, emails with the dealer (Honda of Van Nuys), and photographic evidence (such as photos of the steering wheel after the damage on June 30, 2025). I purchased this vehicle in December of 2024 at 37 miles on the car. The car shut down three times on me due to electrical issue, but the dealership said it was the battery and the electric, i have invoices for all of the visits. i didnt feel safe driving the vehicle so i let the car sit and rented through Turo. Car was returned to me, squeeking noise went away, but now im hearing squeeling sounds from my front and rear brake when my car is on reverse or neutral and im steering my wheels left to right. So I bring th3 car back in for service the following day and told them my concern. The car stayed in the shop for another 3 days just for them to bring my car back to me with the squeeking sound coming back. The advisor told me that it was a normal sound but I told them no it's not, he kept saying it's the rain..etc Its the same squeeking sounds that I brought the car in service for. So the car stays, the car was returned a couple more days, theres still sounds and vibration coming from the brakes. Now they are telling me that the regenerative braking system that use to work when I first bought the car that it doesnt work and Sacramento cdjr is saying that it only charges 1% over where it's at. All false. (They also mention that there were a recall and that they needed to reprogram the car but we never got a letter or notice for it). Folsom CDJR also said they resurfaced the rotors, but when the car was returned to me they were all rusty rotors. Also the fuel meter gauge started jumping up and down, and fuel burning faster then before. Things were were not normal after the services. They are saying that they cant duplicate the issue, but when I took it to an independent shop, they notice the problem and also said that I have an electrical issue still.Read more

I own a 2018 Honda Accord that was subject to a fuel pump recall. The dealership replaced the fuel pump in July 2025 as part of the recall. Shortly after the replacement, all dashboard warning lights illuminated. I took the vehicle in for diagnostic inspection and was informed that the fuel injector and head gasket had failed. The estimated cost of repairs is $5369.69. I believe these failures ma
... y be related to the fuel system recall or indicate a broader defect in the vehicle’s engine or fuel components. I am deeply concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle, especially since these issues arose immediately after the recall repair. I am currently unable to afford the repair, and I fear the vehicle may pose a risk to myself and others on the road. This situation has caused me significant stress and anxiety. The unexpected financial burden has disrupted my personal and professional life, and I feel unsafe driving a vehicle that may have underlying defects. I am frustrated that a recall repair may have led to even more severe mechanical issues, and I am left without clear support or resolution. I had no choice but to pay for the repairs out of pocket, despite the financial strain. I am seeking guidance on how this cost might be recovered—whether through manufacturer assistance, warranty extension, or further recall action. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether this issue is connected to the existing recall or represents a wider safety defect affecting other vehicles of the same make and model.Read more

... previously covered under warranty or service campaigns prior to 2023. My vehicle has fewer than 60,000 miles, yet it has suffered a major engine failure clearly tied to a manufacturing defect. Ford and even U.S. government agencies are aware of this widespread issue. Unfortunately, Ford is now refusing to take responsibility for a defect they have long known about. It’s extremely disappointing to see such disregard for loyal customers. This experience has completely eroded my trust in Ford. It’s clear why so many Americans are turning to foreign manufacturers — companies that take accountability and fix known problems instead of ignoring them. I will never purchase a Ford again, and I will be sharing my experience so that others are aware of how these issues are being handled.Read more

This failure occurred without warning and poses a significant risk to driver and passenger safety. I live in Massachusetts, where road salt is heavily used, and corrosion is a known hazard. I’ve learne
... d that this issue was part of NHTSA investigation EA18-001, which covered 2013–2018 Altimas, but no recall was issued. My dealership denied coverage due to warranty expiration, and Nissan Consumer Affairs said they cannot guarantee a goodwill repair. I am requesting that NHTSA reopen or escalate this issue. My vehicle is immobilized, and I am left without transportation due to a known defect. I have documentation and photos available upon request.Read more

My car has been dying when I stop at stoplights. We took it into the dealership and they said the battery was sending error messages. So we replaced the battery. It is doing it again. Sometimes it starts but it is getting progressively harder to restart it. It is dangerous to be stalled at an intersection. The car is not even a year old.

It been twice that I have experienced lifters issues and damage caused to engine because of these. First time I fixed it in a NY mechanic shop because dealer workflow and expecting dates (all lifters, crankshaft, and seals were replaced new), less than 1 year later again the lifters failed (2) but this time ruined my engine. Went to local GM dealership and asked at service department if they could
... fix it complementary due to all reported lifters issues from GM as we all can see online and rejected my offer. So far vehicle is still not fixed and it’s been 5 months in shop looking ways to see if engine could be solved but have to replaced. Also on the Escalade 2018 the seats (middle seat row and 3rd are really being noisy, I purchased vehicle 3 years ago with about 80K miles but these seats are not fully locked in the bottom and metal with metal makes sounds on bumps and bricks streets. When purchased I used to take vehicle to dealer but actually it continues with issues and I just lost confidence and pricing and turnaround were not convenient. Unfortunately, the 2018 Escalade is the worst vehicle decision I have made in my life. When told service manager that I couldn’t believe how a 2018 vehicle was failing engine and again, he told me he has seen 2024 so it shouldn’t be surprising. More to say but will keep simpleRead more
