Experiencing sudden loss of power steering while driving - unsafe condition. Experiencing sudden loss of electric power steering assist while driving. Loss of power steering persists until ignition recycling (stop, put car in park, turn ignition off, turn ignition back on), which seems to clear it. Problem re-occurs intermittently on subsequent drives. Issue has been experienced at multiple M
... PH (0 to 65 MPH) across more than a month of time. I believe my vehicle is experiencing the recall noted earlier this year (N182182760 in 2025) for power steering unit failures in Corvettes manufactured in my car's timeframe. The recall is still expanding the list of cars associated due to its nascent nature, and I believe mine is one of them. My car was manufactured in 2016 and the manufacturing defect in the power steering unit circuitry was not corrected until 2017. The recall investigation only occurred a few months ago, earlier this year in 2025. Request my vehicle be added to recall N182182760 to correct this unsafe condition. Thank you. I am reporting a recurring safety issue involving engine stalling in active traffic due to excessive oil loss and internal component failure. This has occurred three times within approximately 12,000 miles and has created dangerous conditions for my family, including my 2.5 year old child who rides in the vehicle. Summary of incidents: • May 15, 2025 – 61,736 miles: Vehicle stalled in traffi
... c and lost acceleration. Dealership confirmed abnormal noise and low oil, but no oil consumption test was ordered. • Fall 2025 – 66,448 miles: Vehicle stalled and died on the highway. Diagnosis showed broken camshaft timing components. Service invoice states the engine oil system was too low and caused internal failures. Major timing components replaced. • October 30, 2025 – 69,175 miles: Vehicle stalled in traffic again. Oil was low after only 2,727 miles since previous repair. Dealer advised oil consumption test after another 1,000 miles, but I do not feel the vehicle is safe to drive due to repeated stalling and internal failures. At the most recent incident the dealership confirmed the oil level was again low, but did not identify the cause or perform consumption testing until after repeated failures. These repeated stall events are serious safety hazards and could result in a collision or injury. I have lost confidence in the safety of the vehicle. Based on consultation with an experienced engine mechanic, underlying internal damage from oil starvation is likely and may indicate piston ring or engine defect consistent with known Hyundai/Kia oil consumption issues. Hyundai has declined to provide a buyback or full repair solution and the vehicle continues to demonstrate dangerous conditions. We have purchased a full warranty for the engine but warranty company will not cover it as they are saying this is a pistons issue - wear and tear. I am requesting NHTSA investigation and assistance to ensure this defect is addressed before someone is injured.Read more

Volvo offers no fix other than to reset the computer over and over. This doesn’t fix it. It is a hardware issue in which the computer isn’t capable of running all its functions. The only fix is hardware, and Volvo will need to be forced to do that. Many people complain of this issue. It is rampant in all the online communities.Read more

After parking, I try to put the car into park and it will not go all the way to park. The key fob will not come out of the ignition, so the battery is still being used with the dashboard lights on. No alert or alarm lights show an issue. This has occurred MANY times. Finally, after waiting from 5-45 minutes, you can hear a click in the front area (gear area) and then I can turn the switch complete
... ly to off and remove the Key fob. I went to a repair shop and they scanned for problems/codes on the reader. But nothing shows up. Thinking it may be the fob itself, I had the locksmith come and replace the fob and program it. It still continues to be an issue. Not every time I drive, but enough that it has been a safety concern as well if I’m away from home. There have also been many times that after cranking the car, disengaging the emergency brake and then placing it in reverse, the car tries to go into reverse direction like the gas pedal is being pressed and if my foot isn’t on the brake, it will quickly back up without even touching the gas pedal.?? But I do have my foot applied to the brake pedal. I’m unsure if this is related to the recall for the brake cable thing that’s in effect now (without a remedy and awaiting notification from Dodge for repair). I do however feel that it is a safety issue. As it is an ongoing problem.Read more

2018 BMW K1600** To whom it may concern My name is [XXX] and I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2018 BMW K1600 motorcycle VIN [XXX] . My motorcycle has a serious and dangerous stability problem that happens at normal highway speeds. While riding at about sixty miles per hour and higher the motorcycle begins to wobble and feel unstable. The front end becomes light and the handlebars feel
... like they want to move on their own. The back of the motorcycle moves from side to side as if the rear is shifting under me. At times it feels like the bike is sliding or going out from underneath me even though the road is straight and smooth. This is a very unsafe feeling and it can happen at any time on the highway. This instability becomes worse when passing large trucks or riding in crosswind. The movement is not caused by rider input. The bike has correct tire pressure and has no suspension or frame modifications. This issue appears linked to the design or mechanical components of the motorcycle. The wobble is strong enough that it feels like a loss of control could happen without warning. This puts the rider at risk of a serious accident or injury. I am aware that similar complaints have been reported by many other BMW K1600 owners in these model years and that NHTSA has previously reviewed this issue. I respectfully request that NHTSA reopen and fully investigate this wobble and stability problem for the 2018 BMW K1600 motorcycle line and determine whether a recall or corrective action is needed to ensure rider safety. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. April 17,2023 my son pulling into Tractor supply , raining out, pulls into spot and car again shakes, sputters and shuts off, same message engine stopped steering power low. After many attempts car restarts approximately 20 minutes later. Car serviced codes ARE FOUND and cleared, road tested and told car was ok. May 31,2025 I was driving down Rt 80, pouring rain when traffic comes to a complete stop due to accident ahead. Car starts shaking, sputtering and shuts down. Same message code as always. I turned the car completely off as not to kill battery and started to goggle the RAV4. I attempted to restart the car numerous times. Called for a tow, prayed that I didn’t get killed once traffic started to move. Finally 1-1/2 hours later it started. Traffic began moving 15 minutes after I got it started. Took in for service, charged $199.61 only to be told there were no codes. Problem could not be duplicated and in the future to always disable the start/stop button while using the vehicle. October30, 2025 raining, I stopped at Panera drive thru. Placed an order waiting in line and car shuts down, same error code, couldn’t restart car for 20 minutes. I leased a brand-new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona EV. About 2 weeks after receiving the vehicle, a severe and dangerous incident occurred. I had driven approximately 2 miles at normal residential speeds with my baby in the back seat. After parking and walking toward the entrance of the home, I turned around and saw both rear wheels glowing bright red, radiating extreme heat, as if they were about to
... ignite. The temperature was so high that when I poured water onto the wheels, it instantly evaporated into steam. It appeared the back end of the vehicle was on the verge of catching fire. This happened during normal, low-speed driving with an infant in the vehicle, creating a direct and immediate risk to my child’s safety. This was not caused by hard braking, aggressive driving, or any impact. The vehicle had very low mileage and was being operated under normal conditions. In addition to this near-fire thermal event, the vehicle has multiple serious electrical malfunctions: • The key fob frequently fails to unlock the doors or open the trunk, leaving us stuck outside the vehicle. • The vehicle sometimes remains powered “on” even after pressing the button to shut it off. • These issues are unpredictable and raise further safety concerns. I reported the incident to Dodge/Stellantis immediately. For over 4 weeks, Dodge has repeatedly delayed sending an inspector, and the vehicle still has not been examined. Because of the overheating, electrical failures, and the risk of fire — especially with a child in the vehicle — I have stopped driving the car entirely. It is unsafe to operate. This appears to be a major defect related to the EV propulsion system, electrical system, braking or drag, and/or thermal management system. I have video evidence of the event and the vehicle is available for inspection.Read more

I started smelling coolant fumes in my vehicle. Upon inspecting the coolant reservoir, I noticed it was empty. Upon inspecting the radiator itself, I noticed that some of the coolant was leaking. Fumes associated with the leaked liquid touching hot parts in the engine were entering the vehicle cabin. I noticed there was a technical bulletin regarding this issue for Hyundai Palisades. I inform
... ed the dealer as well as Hyundai corporate. Despite the technical bulletin, both entities ignored my issue and said it was not covered under warranty. In addition to potentially impacting the engine (if the coolant runs out), I believe the fumes are toxic and pose a serious health risk to passengers. As this seems to be a well known problem, I believe it needs to result in a recall (and not a technical bulletin).Read more

The interior door panel on my 2019 Dodge Charger began to separate/warp from the door frame on the Front drivers and Front Passengers door panels. The vehicle had approximately 32000 miles when the issue started. The plastic trim piece is lifting and peeling away from the door next to the window sill, creating a sharp edge and a gap. This separation is causing the door lock mechanism to bind and b
... ecome difficult to operate. The window operation is also negatively affected, as the glass rubs against the warped panel. I have also had to replace the window motor a little over a year ago and it is again starting to fail. AJ Dohmann now Geaux Dodge in Plaquamian Louisiana replaced this. This defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety because it could impede egress from the vehicle in an emergency due to the malfunctioning door lock. It may also compromise the integrity of the side curtain airbag deployment area. I contacted the manufacturer/dealer on 02/2020, and they indicated this is a known issue but not a safety recall, so they refused to cover the repair under warranty. The issue has reoccurred/worsened and is present on multiple doors. There were no injuries or a crash as a result of this issue. Photos of the defect are attached to this complaint.Read more

Recall that the dealer would not fix
Incident date: Nov 7, 2025
We bought this van new and twice since owning it-once in 2019 at 5,418 miles and this month (November 2025) at 136,947 miles-we have been driving down the interstate with a van full of people, when without any previous warning, suddenly multiple warning lights come on all at once (the check engine light, the transmission light, the vehicle stability assist light, among others-what I have been told
... in LIMP mode) and the van becomes difficult to drive. The engine revs and the multiple warnings keep flashing. It has been extremely dangerous to be going at interstate speeds and suddenly thrown into a driving status where our speed is crippled to a slow pace and trying to get to an exit or shoulder without causing an accident. We have had to have the van towed both times in order to get it to a dealer to have it looked at and fixed. Both times we have been told by 2 different Honda dealership service departments that it was the rocker arm oil pressure switch and the most recent time (2025) we were told they had to also replace the rear spool valve to make the error codes go away. The code P2652 was a code that had to be cleared both times with the repairs that they made. In Nov. 2025 the dealer scanned the vehicle and found codes p0301, p0302, p0303, p0306 cylinder 1 2 3 and 6 misfires. They found code p2652 rocker arm pressure switch to be stuck on. They checked the circuit and found the wiring to be ok. They replaced the rocker arm pressure switch and rear of cylinder head problem did not change. Oil levels were where they should have been. They removed the rear rocker bridge and rear spool valve to inspect the rear spool valve and found the rear spool valve to be sticking causing the vehicle to be in constant vps. They installed a new rear spool valve and cleared codes. We do not have the components to be inspected.Read more

I didn’t even have 55,000 and my car started have electrical issues with the speedometer, my dashboard started glitching with all the lights including an A with exclamation mark. I took it to the Dodge dealership in Huntsville and said they couldn’t do anything about it since the recall seemed to be repair but they couldn’t clear the code. My truck has had
... the same issue with the recall. My car was never repaired from the recall. My vehicle is dangerous to drive on the freeway as I will get this code a! And the speed will automatically drop. I really need help as this recall was never resolved on my carRead more
