FORMAL COMPLAINT Safety Recall 94B (NHTSA Campaign No. 24V-838) I hereby submit this complaint regarding the failure to properly complete Safety Recall 94B (NHTSA Campaign No. 24V-838) involving the HCU/ABS module on my 2018 Dodge Durango. On December 23, 2025, I contacted an authorized Dodge dealer located at 5404 S. Illinois Route 31, Crystal Lake, IL 60012, to remedy the HCU/ABS defect under
... the recall. I was informed that the recall repair would be performed free of charge and an appointment was scheduled for December 29, 2025. At the scheduled visit, the vehicle was returned to me in less than 30 minutes without any recall repair being performed. Instead, I was told that paid diagnostics were required and that the estimated repair cost could range from $3,000 to $5,000. I was also informed that the recall repair could not be completed because the HCU/ABS module was not in stock. The dealer later stated that the module would be ordered, but the delivery timeline was repeatedly postponed. On January 27, 2026, the vehicle was returned to me with the same HCU/ABS-related malfunctions. The dealer stated that Recall 24V-838 / FCA 94B had been closed and refused to replace the HCU/ABS module under the recall. Although FCA systems reflect the recall as “completed,” the safety defect has not been remedied. The vehicle continues to display ABS/ESC warnings, and diagnostic trouble codes related to the braking and electronic stability control systems remain present, confirming that the defect described in the recall persists. Pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 30118(b) and 49 CFR § 573.6(c)(10), when a safety defect persists or reoccurs after recall repairs, the manufacturer is required to implement additional corrective measures, including repeat repair or replacement of the affected component or system. Closing a recall while the defect remains unresolved does not satisfy federal requirements. I respectfully request regulatory review and appropriate action to ensure that thiRead more

I called Nissan support and I was informed that my car had a warranty extension on the Rear lower links through April 27 2025. this notice was sent to the wrong address so I was not aware of it. This is a know failure point Nissan know this by offering a warranty extension and P9324. All Altima's that used this same Rear lower link should have been included in P9324. Control of the car was compromised and harder to drive and not recommended with this failure. No need to reproduce failure as the part broke. No inspection besides my self as the dealer told me $500+ in labor to repair, I repaired my self. No warnings. Part can be inspected for 1 week then it will be disposed of. I’ve been driving this car for nearly a year, and during that time I’ve had multiple incidents where the Forward Collision-Avoidance system applied sudden hard braking when it wasn’t necessary, creating dangerous situations. I leased a 2019 Subaru Ascent (VIN: [XXX] ), which is equipped with the EyeSight driver-assist system. In the Spring of 2019, while driving in a parking lot at night with low visibility and snow, the vehicle struck a pole. Despite the imminent collision, the EyeSight system failed to engage Pre-Collision Braking or provide any audible/visual warning to alert me of the obstacle. The system did not
... disengage or indicate it was unavailable due to weather; it simply failed to function, resulting in a collision. Following this incident, I immediately contacted Subaru of America to report the failure. At that time, Subaru representatives denied any defect existed and stated the system was not at fault. I have recently learned that this vehicle is part of the [XXX], et al. v. Subaru of America, Inc. class action 9[XXX]), which addresses defects in the Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Keep Assist systems. Crucially, I was never notified of this class action or the associated defect by Subaru. I received no mail, email, or other communication alerting me to this safety risk or my eligibility for repair/reimbursement. I only discovered this information via a third-party news source after the settlement claim deadline of September 27, 2025, had passed. Upon contacting the Settlement Administrator and Subaru of America in January 2026, I was told that because the administrative deadline has passed, no remedy is available. Subaru is effectively refusing to address a known safety defect on a confirmed affected VIN solely due to a missed deadline that I was never informed of. I am filing this complaint to document the failure of the EyeSight system and Subaru’s failure to properly notify lessees/owners of known safety defects. Since buying my Ford 2018 F150 Raptor, I have had constant issues and problems with the 10R80 Transmission shifting irradictly, harsh engagements, stalling between gears while losing power, loud metal noises in the transmission/under the truck, and damage already done to the transfer case and transmission resulting in a truck that needs a new transmission, CDF, and transfer case. I have had this t
... ruck worked on 8 times on the transfer case, and constant reprogramming of the PCM because the technicians at the dealerships did not know how to completely fixed it and just followed the TSBs that were given by Ford. Most of which they just reprogrammed the PCM and the adaptive learning program which Ford said it was most likely causing the issues. In 2023 they found damage inside the transfer case with metal bore damage and two valves, which they replaced, it worked for a year, and now my transmission is completely damaged permentaly from not solving the initial issues. As of October of 2025, the new TSB 25-2474 and TSB 25-2475 which addresses replacing the entire transmission and/or CDF. Of which Ford knew the whole time. I am filing a complaint regarding a known defect with the rear racetrack taillight assembly on the 2017 Dodge Durango GT. The rear racetrack taillight allows water and moisture to enter the sealed housing. Over time, this causes condensation buildup, corrosion, and partial or complete failure of the LED lighting. In my case, the racetrack light has gone out and shows visible water inside the asse
... mbly. This issue creates a safety concern because the rear lighting becomes dim or nonfunctional, reducing visibility to other drivers, especially at night or during rain. In some cases, the electrical issues may also affect other vehicle lighting or electrical components. This problem is widely reported by many Dodge Durango owners across multiple model years, yet the taillight assembly design has not been properly corrected. Owners are often required to replace the entire racetrack taillight at high cost, even though the failure is due to a design defect rather than wear and tear. I believe this issue should be formally investigated, acknowledged, and addressed through a recall or manufacturer-supported repair, as it impacts vehicle safety and visibility. + Affects IPC and electrical of vehicle where dimming is not happening and flashes which could lead to IPC failure and high costs additionally. Thank you for reviewing this complaint.Read more

**Subject:** Request for Investigation – Dodge Durango Taillight Water Intrusion and Safety Hazard To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally request that the National Highway Transportation Administration (NHTSA) investigate a widespread and potentially dangerous manufacturing flaw affecting Dodge Durango vehicles. Both my vehicle and a significant number of other Dodge Durango owners h
... ave experienced a recurring issue where water enters the taillight assembly. This intrusion causes the taillights to malfunction, resulting in the lights going out unexpectedly. This defect not only compromises vehicle safety by reducing visibility and signaling capability, but also poses a risk of further electrical damage. In some cases, owners have reported concerns about potential electrical failures and even fire hazards due to water exposure within the taillight housing. Given the prevalence of this issue among Dodge Durango owners, I strongly urge the NHTSA to conduct a thorough investigation and require the manufacturer to address this defect. Importantly, any corrective action should be provided at no out-of-pocket cost to affected vehicle owners, as this is a clear manufacturing flaw that impacts safety and reliability. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your response and to seeing appropriate action taken to protect consumers and ensure vehicle safety. While driving in the Los Angelas area on March 24, 2025, on the 210 Freeway approaching the 605 Freeway the vehicle abruptly decelerated from 65mph to 45mph. A message appeared instructing "continue to your destination, do not turn off your engine, if you turn off your engine you may not be able to start it again." We contacted Jeep Connected who directed us to Cerritos CDJR. As we were heading so
... uth on the 605 Freeway the vehicle again abruptly decelerated to 28mph. This placed us in a dangerous safety situation as we were at the height of the afternoon traffic. The Service Advisor was able to determine that the Valve Body(VB) and Transmission Control Module(TCM) had failed. Also, both batteries were fully drained of their charge. The mileage was 4095. The comment was that the batteries contributed to the VB/TCM failure. We have continued to experience battery degradation with five (5) batteries having been replaced within the first year of ownership. We continue to identify battery degradation to the dealership but have received no correction to this defect. Over the past four (4) months we have documented "resting" battery voltage at a level where they are at or below 50% of their expected lifetime. While it is suggested that parasitic drain is the cause, we continually ensure that lights, radio, heating and air-conditioning and Jeep Connected are turned off when parked. I have documented to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection and NCDS these conditions. The ruling from NCDS is: DENIED. "I have reached this conclusion for the following reason: the customer did prove by shop work orders a Manufacturer defect does exist with the batteries discharging, which has affected the use and safety of the vehicle. However, there has only been three repair attempts with replacing batteries which is not considered unreasonable in my opinion." With the recognition by an Arbitrator that a manufacture defect exists which affects safety, it cannot be limited to my vehicle.Read more

At both dealerships, I was told that the issues, including a clogged catalytic converter and a failing exhaust manifold, fell within the scope of the recall. However, instead of perfo
... rming the recall work, they simply cleared the codes and returned the vehicle to me. As a result, I was forced to pay out of pocket for repairs that should have been fully covered under the existing recall. Most recently, my vehicle was diagnosed with a failing long block, which is also clearly part of Kia’s recall campaign. Yet again, I was denied the proper repair. The vehicle is currently undriveable.Read more

Vehicle: 2025 Toyota Tundra Component/System: Powertrain / Electronic Throttle Control / Transmission Response Complaint Description: I am reporting a serious safety defect involving delayed and inconsistent acceleration from a stop or low speed. ... ver engine power when the accelerator is pressed. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: This failure creates a hazardous condition when entering intersections, turning across traffic, or merging. On multiple occasions, the truck failed to accelerate when commanded. In one incident, I pressed the accelerator approximately 75% and the vehicle did not respond for 2–3 seconds, nearly resulting in a collision. Reproduction/confirmation: The issue has occurred multiple times under normal driving conditions from a stop or slow roll. It is intermittent and unpredictable. Inspections: At this time, the issue has not yet been resolved and has not been successfully corrected. (Inspection pending / not yet corrected.) Warning indicators: No warning lights, messages, or fault indicators were present before or during the failure. The hesitation occurs without any dashboard alerts. Additional details: The delay is not typical turbo lag or minor hesitation — it is a complete loss of commanded acceleration for several seconds, followed by sudden engagement. This condition makes the vehicle unsafe to operate in traffic.Read more
