Ram uses a grid heater to warm up the vehicle during cold temperatures for starting. The vehicle's radio, Apple Carplay, Bluetooth, and anti-theft system/radio unit started to encounter electrical issues, stating it had lost power. The issues were not as common at first but, grew to be persistent as the vehicle continued to be driven. The vehicle was in for service approximately 1-2 weeks ago from today's

The issues that persist are the vehicle not being able to start multiple times in a week (does not depend if the vehicle is hot or cold, and/or if the vehicle has been recently driven or sitting), Apple Carplay consistently disconnecting, the anti-theft system/radio unit continually losing power and needing to acquire GPS satellites. The dealership did conclude that the battery was at fault for the no-start issues and replaced the battery, unfortunately, that did not solve the issues and they continue to arise on a consistent basis thereafter. The other issues could not be replicated and were recommended that the phones connected via Apple Carplay be updated & repaired, the phones that were connected were already up to date in the IOS version, and the Hondailink version, and were using Apple oem cables. Since Hyundai would not provide me with a loaner, I had to get a rental car to get home that I was not reimbursed for. We ended up paying out of pocket to replace the safety plug/fuse and the power relay assembly on 8/9/22. After having the car back for three months, the warning popped up again on 10/18/22 just as it did earlier that same year. I immediately called to schedule a service appointment with Hyundai and had to wait almost four months to get a service appointment here in Cincinnati. The appointment was on 1/26/23 and they have yet to "replicate the issue" so they are unable to diagnose the car. I am supposed to pick up the car this week even though it's a safety hazard. I have had two cases open with Hyundai Customer Affairs but since they cannot diagnose the car, there is nothing they can do. They have been absolutely no help at all.Read more

... ed by the dealership to have the car towed to them so they could evaluate what happened. I did this. The dealership is trying to assess what happened. After 1 week, they replaced all 4 tires, did an alignment and replaced a leaking rear shock. The vehicle had 36,201 miles as of 1/24/2023. The dealership claims that the wear on the tires and the vehicle being out of alignment caused the wheel speed sensor to misread the speed and triggered the ABS to unlock all brakes. When this happened, all the warning lights for the braking system came on: ABS, Auto Hold, Traction Control, Forward Colision Avoidance System, Downhill Descent Control. I had nothing to stop me. Thankfully, no other vehicles came thru the intersection when my vehicle lost control. The dealership has, after a week, supplied me with a loaner vehicle. They are trying to duplicate the loss of brakes and all the lights that were activated when I lost my brakes. I also mentioned to the Service Manager at the dealership that I have repeatedly been asking the technicians to check the tires and to rotate the tires at our last few service appointments and had been assured the tires were fine and the tire rotation would be done. We normally have the tire rotation done every 7,000 miles due to the fact that it is an AWD. If this had been done as we requested, how could this happen? Wouldn't someone have noticed uneven tire wear? Our major concern is that when the brakes fail, you have no backup braking system in place.
