While attempting to get to a place where I could pull the car over, I was moving forward very slowly (had released the brake, but not touched the accelerator) when the car in front of me was stopping again. I braked, and the car lurched forward with force and hit the other car. I braked harder and the car again lurched forward, hitting the other car a second time. I threw the car into park which stopped the motion. There were no serious injuries but both cars sustained damage and I called roadside assistance to tow my car to the dealership because I felt it was not safe to drive. The dealer repeatedly tells us there is nothing wrong with the car. Someone could have been killed or seriously injured. I am requesting an immediate investigation. There were no warning lights. This just happened, so the insurance has not inspected the car yet. It is at the dealership. When wipers are turned on they work for a minute and then change to intermittently working regardless of how much rain. If you flip it to max wiper speed to keep the window clean it does the same thing. There is no setting you can put it on and the wipers continually work. ... ee times to Nissan service as was told this problem is a normal occurrence with this car model and MissN k owns about it but won’t do anything to solve the problem as of yet. I was told that they could replace the “laser” for $2100 which I would have to pay for but there is no guarantee that it would solve the problem. When I asked what are my options besides that I was told to trade the car in and buy another one as if I have the luxury of just buying another car. This issue was reported first in 2019 by other drivers who had the same issue and there are lawsuits going on at the moment by people that got into accidents because of this and still Nissan won’t do anything about it. The contact stated that while pulling into her apartment's parking garage, the vehicle surged forward as the steering wheel independently maneuvered to the left without warning. ... id not deploy upon impact. Bystanders called the authorities as both police and medical aide arrived at the scene. The EMT examined both the contact and her passenger at the scene. The next day, they both went to the hospital where her passenger was treated for a contusion to his sternum. The contact suffered injuries to left hand, right shoulder, both ankles, and both wrists. A police report was filed. The contact reached out to the manufacturer and was advised to have the vehicle towed to a dealer; the vehicle was eventually towed to a dealer after several other informed her that they did not service electrical vehicles. The contact stated that a crack had damaged the side of the apartment building as a result of the failure. The failure was investigated and the contact was found to be partially at fault for the failure; the contact objected to the finding and maintained that an electrical defect caused the failure.
