The vibration occurs consistently above approximately 40 mph and becomes more pronounced at highway speeds. It is felt in: • Gas pedal • Underbody near shifter • Steering wheel • Seat Despite numerous repair attempts and replacement of major drivetrain components, the vibration has not been permanently resolved. Truck keeps throwing road force on brand new tires as well. Repairs a
... nd attempts have included: • Tire pressure corrections • Multiple tire balances and road force balancing • Replacement of all four tires • Subsequent rebalancing of the replacement tires after road force values continued to fluctuate • Additional tire replacement when road force variation repeatedly returned despite proper balancing • Replacement of both front hubs • Replacement of both front axles • Replacement of front steering knuckles • Replacement of front differential ring and pinion bearing kit • Replacement of right front axle • Replacement of transfer case • Replacement of front driveshaft • Diagnostic tire swapping from another vehicle for comparison At one point, test tires from another truck were installed to isolate the concern, which resulted in the vibration spreading further into the steering wheel and seat. The issue affects drivability and confidence in the vehicle at highway speeds. Current visit beginning January 7, 2026: Vehicle has remained at the dealership continuously with no return to me and no confirmed repair completion (now exceeding 40 consecutive days). The cumulative days out of service significantly exceed 30 days. Despite substantial drivetrain component replacement, the vibration concern persists. The persistent vibration affects normal use, drivability, and confidence in the vehicle at highway speeds. Persistent drivetrain vibration at highway speeds raises safety concerns. Repeated axle, differential, transfer case, and driveshaft replacements indicate unresolved mechanical instability.Read more

The vehicle experiences sudden engine shutdown while driving. The engine completely turns off without warning. There are no warning lights, no check engine light, and no prior indication of failure. The exact component causing the failure is unknown at this time, but it appears to involve the engine and/or electrical system. The vehicle is available for inspection and has been taking to doge and n
... othing is being done yet. The vehicle shuts off while I am actively driving, causing immediate loss of power. This creates a dangerous situation because I lose acceleration and power steering while in traffic. I transport six children daily in this vehicle. Sudden engine shutdown while driving significantly increases the risk of a crash, especially in traffic or at higher speeds. This is a serious safety hazard for my family and others on the road. The dealership has not confirmed the cause. The vehicle has been taken in multiple times for service and diagnostics, and over $4,000 has been spent on repairs. However, the stalling issue continues and has not been resolved. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Dodge dealership service department multiple times. No manufacturer representative has inspected the vehicle yet. There were no warning lamps, no check engine light, and no dashboard messages prior to the engine shutting off. The shutdown occurs without any advance warning. The vehicle operates normally and then abruptly turns off.Given the sudden loss of power while driving and the risk of collision, I believe this may be a broader safety defect that could potentially affect other vehicles of the same model.Read more

On February 6, 2026, while driving my 2014 Dodge Durango at normal speed, the driver’s seat headrest suddenly and unexpectedly deployed/exploded, striking the back of my head. The force of the impact caused my head to snap forward, resulting in soft-tissue and muscle injuries to my neck and upper back. I sought medical evaluation following the incident and was diagnosed with soft-tissue injury/
... whiplash. Treatment has included diagnostic imaging, prescription medication, and follow-up care for ongoing symptoms. I was able to continue driving the vehicle directly to a Dodge dealership, where staff confirmed that the headrest had exploded. This is the second headrest failure on this vehicle caused by a defective plastic component; the passenger-side headrest failed previously in August 2023. The vehicle is unsafe to operate until the headrest is replaced. Due to the part being out of stock, the repair is expected to take more than two months. Prior to this incident, the only indication of a problem was a letter sent by Dodge in August 2020 stating that the warranty on this part was extended from 3 years to 10 years due to a known defect. Given the repeated failures and risk of injury, this condition represents a safety defect that should have been addressed through a recall.Read more

Also, the seats have been known to eject with this particular recall. Yes the vehicle was inspected by Bev Smith Kia per my insistence, and instead of fixing it and returning the vehicle, Kia Corporate forced the hand of Bev Smith Kia to confiscate the vehicle due to it being a deadly recall. SC288 Alpha Campaign Failed is what the dealership told me to tell corporate. There were no warning lights when the odometer appeared to have zero miles, it simply went to zero and the backseat became very hot to the passenger. There was no ability to fill the gas tank as the pressure of gas was pouring gas out from the fuel tank and the pump would not add additional gas. This appeared in May of 2025. We took it to the dealership and they said there was nothing wrong with the car. The next time is happened was Sunday [XXX]. The car was taken to Bev Smith Kia dealership that Monday November 24th where it was confiscated by the dealership for the deadly recall that they claimed could never be fixed and Kia would do a buy back. During my last wash of my cybertruck I noticed the cast aluminum wheel has a spoke that was completely cracked through. There was no violent pothole incident or collision to cause the crack. As an engineer I researched the method of manufacture and material of the rims. It is my opinion that the proper knock down factors were not used when designing these wheels for the 7,000 pound vehicle. Castin
... gs contain defects as a normal outcome of each pour. Knock down factors allow for castings to be used in design responsibly to preclude brittle failures at the defect locations. The cross sectional area of each spoke is minimal too for aesthetic purposes increasing the stress field in the spoke. This is a cast aluminum wheel taking the shape of a forged or wrought product. Furthermore the wheel covers make it difficult to identify cracks in the wheel since there is no visibility allowing a driver to unknowingly drive on a wheel that has had one or more spokes fail. This wheel is part of the all terrain wheel upgrade. Marketed for off road capability.Read more

Yesterday I went to the Ford dealership and asked if my 2009 Ford Escape could have the power steering repaired under recall as the code from the OBD2 data is B2278 and that falls under a RECALL for PSCM Power Steering Control Module - STEERING SHAFT TORQUE SENSOR MALFUNCTION CAMPAIGN ID: 14V284000 FORD RECALL #14S05 I was advised there is no open recall of my vehicle and that this recall had been
... performed in 2014 as a software update. The history also shows my vehicle did not have any stored codes at the time of programming the PSCM. The recall work shows a 0.3 hours time slot for the Ford covered repair. This is and was a band aid and not a genuine remedy. Ford took the cheapest way out of this and denying the repair now is shameful. There are thousands of complaints since then right here on this site. If my Escape had this B2278 code at the time it was brought in, the steering column and torque sensor would have been replaced free of charge. Yesterday while at the dealership I called the Ford customer service national line and spoke with a very courteous gentleman but he was unable to honor a goodwill claim for me. I just want my vehicle to be safe to drive. I believe Ford should repair anyones vehicle that only had a software update and not actual replacement of defective parts. The steering completely locked up while attempting the turn. The front of my SUV crashed into a frozen snowbank damaging the front. Loss of Use due to unavailability of safety recall parts I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction and concern regarding the ongoing mechanical failures of our 2020 Ford Expedition Max. To date, this vehicle has undergone two major transmission interventions, yet it remains in an unsafe, undrivable condition due to a recurring powertrain defect and a high-risk safety recall. Our
... experience with this vehicle has been defined by persistent failures and significant loss of use: •April 2023: The vehicle was admitted to MOGF for transmission repairs, where it remained for three months for a complete teardown and rebuild. •May 2024: The transmission failed again with identical symptoms and required a full replacement. •Current Issue: We have now received a recall notice regarding an internal transmission bearing. The check engine light is currently active, indicating a powertrain fault. We have been informed that the necessary recall parts are unavailable, leaving us with a vehicle that Ford’s own documentation identifies as a "crash risk." The vehicle is currently affected by NHTSA Recall 25E-070 (Ford 25SB3) regarding a missing internal transmission bearing, which Ford identifies as a crash risk. Furthermore, the vehicle falls under the expanded NHTSA Recall 25V-628 (Ford 22S36) fire risk, which requires it to be parked away from my home. These cumulative risks make the vehicle unusable and constitute a failure of the manufacturer's duty to provide a safe productRead more

The tailgate has opened 4 times while I’ve been driving. There was one incident in which an object in the truck bed fell out onto the road. Other drivers are at risk for serious injury or death due to objects falling out. I have read other incidents of this happening online to the Silverado 1500 models however Chevy has only issued recalls for the 2500 and 3500 models. The problem has not been r

While driving the vehicle the passenger side of my rear window shattered due to the rear defroster circuit overheating. I brought the vehicle into my local Chevrolet Cerified dealership to examine - they stated that my vin number is not included in the wide spread recall affecting over 150k vehicles having the same exact issue. I did call GM and she told me how the recall could only be specific
... to vehicles manufactured at certain locations, or many other factors could lead to my truck not being covered. My vehicle has the power sliding center window - I have researched and have seen a ton of vehicles with this same rear window have the exact same issue as I did. Even the same side breaks. I don't understand how mine is not covered under the recall so many others are. This currently has not been fixed - I am concerned that the same issue will occur even after getting it fixed. I feel it should be not only covered under the recall, but the faulty part causing the issue should be replaced just as it has been with all the covered vehicles. I am asking for this to be reviewed further and expanding the vehicles covered under this recall. It is a very unsafe problem that can cause fire and injury. I don't know how bad this could have been if someone were sitting in the back seat when this happened.Read more
