Vehicle has been in for service on this specific problem three times, no solution. Safety is at risk due to faulty information and lack of awareness of tire pressures on all wheels, also cannot disable system. Problem first occurred with less than 2000 miles on odometer, has been present intermittently since then. Tire sensors have been replaced, issue remains. They were replacing faulty shocks that were under warranty new brakes and rotors all the way around and a full oil change all items were inside the vehicle I pretty much only had to pay for maintenance except for the faulty shocks the manager called me as I was on my way to work. My engine is blown. I saw my engine check light come on Wednesday night when the car stalled no oil light ever came on in the car except when you initially started and then it disappeared. My complaint is why wasn't I notified by the vehicle that there was no oil in the pan that's the whole purpose of the oil light indicator. Now am stuck with a 3500.00 engine repair bill which was the cheapest I found online for a used 1.8 liter engine. I want my dashboards computer checked. When I purchased the car it had been used as a police car in the state of Mississippi. So after I bought the car I checked for any recalls and found it to have 2 open recalls. 1 was a passenger side airbag and the other was the alternator. So I contacted Moss motor company in South Pittsburg Tennessee and they agreed to do the recalls. After they had finished installing the air bag they told me th
... e alternator wasn't required for change out because the part number listed on it wasn't warranted. So I did some investigating and found my part number to be 7030. The part numbers not required for change out is 7051-7031-and 7170.. It's listed under the NHTSA S68/16v-739 recall. Since I've had the car I have had blinking headlight issues.. I have a little bit of automobile knowledge and I knew it had to be a grounding problem or a alternator problem. So I even added a couple of grounds from the engine to the chassis with no improvement. So I contacted a good friend of mine whom is a retired Dodge Chrysler master technician and he agreed to check my alternator for fluctuating amperage. He placed a device around the lead wire coming from the alternator to the battery and when he did the needle was constantly fluctuating very rapidly probably 2/3 across the entire dial. So there is no question whatsoever the alternator is the source of the problem. There's one more issue I would like to report. When I carried my car in for the recalls to be performed the technician didn't even bother to raise the hood of the car to check the part number on the alternator.. The reason I know this is because he didn't take my car to the shop area, he pulled my car in front of the high bay doors and installed the passenger side airbag.. I did witness this.. But not 1 time did I see him raise the hood. It took me a 30x magnifying glass and a flashlight to take the photo clearly showing the part number on my current alternator that was supposed to be changed. Photo attached is part number.Read more

... raffic ahead. The issue is, it randomly brakes with no obstructions ahead. I've seen reports that you guys are looking into this. And I'm also informing you that our trucks deal with this issue as well. There's no defect warnings on the device's monitor system. No previous accidents that would cause issues to the device to have faulty sensor. The problem with the system, it sees a shadow on the road and it thinks theres a stopped vehicle, forcing the truck to hard apply the brakes. This can be extremely dangerous on inclement weather, more so on icy conditions. Few weeks ago, I traveled through the same part of the toll road like I always do, I know this spot activates the brakes 70-85% of the time during the night. That night, my trailers ABS light was on, when I approached the bad spot, all my brakes activated and almost caused my truck to jack-knife, lost full control but didn't crash, nor was anyone near me. But it would've been a different outcome if it was bad weather. When I approach this area, I always turn on my high beams to try to eliminate the shadow on the road. Where this happens: Indiana Toll Road 80-90, Elkhart IN, West bound lanes, right before exit 92. The overpass that causes this shadow is Johnson Street. You can see on Google street maps, where other trucks have had automatic braking activated, from seeing tire marks on the road. The lights around create that shadow at night. Thankfully, I had already put the car into neutral at this point so the car could be pulled onto the flatbed tow truck. Once the displays stopped working, the car was completely unresponsive. I was unable to lock or unlock doors by using physical buttons on doors or remote buttons on my key. The power trunk lift gate would not open. In the world of cell-phones, they would say my car was "bricked." Completely unresponsive to any input, and the display still black with occasional white glitching flashing across display. The dealership's diagnostics was that there was a malfunction in the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). They replaced the ICCU and the 12 volt battery and I received the car back from the dealership. Everything seems fully operational again.Read more

Upon inspecting the brake fluid reservoir, the contact became aware that the brake fluid level was low. The contact added brake fluid however, the brake fluid leaked out again. The vehicle was taken to Pep Boys where it was diagnosed and determined that the brake hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. While driving, on a busy street in Holyoke MA, a STOP waning appeared on the drivers display indicating an electrical/power problem. I pulled over to side of road and called a tow truck. Car was taken to dealer where they ran diagnostics on the vehicle. Diagnostics showed failed ICCU and bad cell in 12v battery. Replaced ICCU and high voltage fuse.

The USPS arrived and immediately blocked a lane of traffic and called Maryland DOT for further assistance because of the hazardous situation. Could not be towed because it would not stay in neutral. It then with no one in it started on its own, smoke coming out of exhaust and burning smell. I contacted manufacturer 6/6/23. To date, Genesis has not been able to tell me the cause of the catastrophic failure or has been able to fix the problem. I was put in a terrifying and dangerous situation.Read more
