Driver side rear sway mount bracket fell off. This is well documented on the internet and has been occurring for many years on the Ford F53 chassis. Sway bar keeps sway and body roll to a minimum while driving. Without the mount, it's ability to prevent sway is diminished. Inside the Coach is an entertainment center covered with hinging doors and a magnetic close. The first year we owned it the doors flew open while driving. In the process the left door broke off the hinge and fell on the seat. The second time it happened going over railroad tracks. This time the broken door fell on the seat and then on the floor. The fresh water tank supports broke loose from the trailer frame and the tank fell on the roadway. It was supported only by wiring and hoses. No one was injured, but the tank is very heavy when filled. The trailer was blocking traffic at the fill station and the tank had to be removed to move the trailer. They are inadequate for holding the supports in place- the supports should be welded or bolted in place. The dealer (All Star, Sherwood Park Alberta) confirmed that they have seen the same issue and it is a common problem with these trailers. The trailer has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives. Only the dealer has inspected it before repairs. There were no warning signs or prior indication that the tank supports were going to fail. Note: I am in Canada, but want NHTSA to be aware of this incident. The inside of our 2021 Coachmen Encore 325 SS Motorhome gets hot around the “doghouse” area on the floor. We have used a heat sensor and it registers a temperature on the floor and around the “doghouse” at 159 degrees F. Have photo of 158.3 degrees F. TRAILER WAS TRAVELING STRAIGHT AT 65 MPH ON NJ ROUTE 78 EASTBOUND WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE TIRE TREAD BLEW APART FROM THE CARCASS. TRAILER HAD A FUNCTIONING TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM AT THE TIME OF FAILURE. APPROXIMATELY ONE HALF MILE BEFORE BLOWOUT THE PRESSURES WERE BETWEEN 85-86 PSI AND THE WHEEL TEMPS WERE BELOW 100 DEGREES. THE TRAILER WAS SCALED AT 8800 POUNDS, TRAILER AXLE AT 7860 P

IN DAMAGE TO THE SIDE OF THE TRAILER. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT RESPONDED TO 3 SEPARATE REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE IN REGARDS TO THEIR FAILED PRODUCT. THE MORNING OF THE INCIDENT ALL 4 TIRES WERE VISUALLY INSPECTED BY ME AND THERE WERE NO ABNORMALITIES NOTED IN THE TREAD OR SIDEWALL AREAS. AFTER GETTING THE TIRES REPLACED AT A LOCAL SHOP, I ASKED THEM TO INSPECT THE 3 REMAINING GOODRIDE TIRES. THE SHOP STATED THEY SAW NOTHING WRONG WITH THE 3 REMAINING ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRES. I REPLACED THEM AS WELL SINCE NO ONE COULD CITE WHY IT SELF DESTRUCTED. I SAVED THE BLOWN OUT TIRE. THE OTHER 3 I HAD TO LEAVE BEHIND SINCE I WAS TRAVELING 1000 MILES FROM HOME AND HAD NO ROOM TO STORE THEM. IT IS EASY TO BLAME THE CONSUMER WHEN A TIRE FAILS. I WAS NOT EXCEEDING THE TIRES SPEED RATING OR LOAD RATING. I RAN NOTHING OVER, WHICH WOULD HAVE POSSIBLY CAUSED A SLOW LEAK LEADING TO THE BLOWOUT. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF REPORTS LIKE THIS ON THE OWNERS FORUMS. 99% OF THEM ARE TIRE MADE IN CHINA. I REPLACED WITH GOODYEAR ENDURANCE TRAILER TIRES SINCE I COULD NOT FIND A SINGLE REPORT OF AN INCIDENT LIKE MINE ONLINE. THESE GOODRIDES ARE A TICKING TIME BOMB AND NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED ALONG WITH THE CORPORATE LACK OF RESPONSE.Read more

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ORIFICE FOR THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TO FLOW TO THE ENGINE WAS TO SMALL; DUE TO THIS DESIGN FLAW, THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEAT WHICH CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. COACHMEN HAD INITIALLY BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED HIM THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO FORD WHO WAS THE MAKER OF THE CHASITY.
