The steel I-beam that is the basic frame on this trailer has extensive cracking and breakage. The steel hanger that holds up the leaf spring in completely broken away from the frame and the rear most axle. A certified RV service repair shop investigated the problem and declared there is so much cracking that the trailer in totaled and undrivable. If driven further there is a chance the real axl
... e will fall away from the frame which is a serious safety issue. There is no warning about this problem but was detected when fast excessive tire wear occurred on one tire. The service center showed me a record of the exact same problem, on the exact trailer type (Coachman Freedom Express) that they looked at prior to my problem. The trailer is 12 years old and a steel frame should last for decades! An on-line Google search uncovered other Freedom Express owners have similar problems. Both the manufacturer (Forrest Rive/Coachman) and the frame/axle subcontractor (Lippert) have been unresponsive to my safety concerns. I am turning to you for advice and to present to you this formal complaint. I have pictures should you need documentation.Read more

Almost all of the 1.5T engines (L15BE) are having head gasket issue where the gasket slowly fails over time resulting in slow coolant loss and at one point sudden overheating causing block and head warping die to design flaw ( groove in between the cylinders resulting in lack of effective and enough surface area for the head gasket to seal the combustion chambers). It has been confirmed by Honda t

We purchased a new 2025 Coachmen Nova class B camper van on August 28th, 2025 from Olathe Ford RV Center in Kansas. I managed to start the engine once, accelerating before it shut down again, and coasting into a parking lot. The vehicle would not start again. The dashboard and lights would only flicker and click (even while the vehicle was totally off). We called the roadside emergency assistance that was sold with the vehicle, only to learn that we had been lied to and that Coachmen Forest River is not covered. We had to cover all expenses. The vehicle was towed to Burt Ogden Dodge Ram service center in Harlingen, Texas. They attempted to repair it 3 times before finally telling me it could not be repaired and it was the upfitter's fault. The service case was closed and we were told the vehicle was sent to Forest River (RV upfitter). Nobody has contacted us about it and we do not know the status of the vehicle. It has now been 7 months since we purchased this new RV. We don't know where it is, the repair status, what happened, or what to do next.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The front and rear brake system is malfunctioning. Both front and rear rotors have developed significant premature heat “hot spots,” causing loud, persistent squealing and excessive heat from the front wheels. It began with the front brakesm July 2025 and as of October 2025 the rear brakes had th
... e same issues. This vehicle is available for inspection upon request. ----- How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This issue involves the primary braking system. The front and rear brakes become excessively hot and produce loud, constant squealing. I am concerned about potential brake drag, caliper malfunction, or premature rotor damage, which could reduce braking efficiency or lead to brake failure. Because this affects stopping performance, it presents a potential safety risk to myself, passengers, and others on the road. ---- Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The Chevrolet dealership confirmed that both front and rear rotors have heat hot spots and advised replacement of the rotors and brake pads. Although I replaced the front break parts as suggested this did not repairthe issues. The vehicle is currently under review by a GM technician, but they have delayed a response sense January 14, 2026. ----- Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. The vehicle was inspected by a Chevrolet dealership and reviewed by a GM technician. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. --- There were no dashboard warning lights. The primary symptom was loud, persistent squealing from the front and rear brakes and noticeable premature heat spots on all the roters. The noise developed within approximately one year of ownership and at relatively low mileage for a new vehicle.Read more

Tire Size: ST225/75R15 DOT 1AD B4TRT1 3420 Manufacturer: Trailer King- These tires are dangerous!! While towing my travel trailer, driving at the posted speed limit of 65mph in October 2025, the driver side rear trailer tire failed (1st). After replacement with the spare, approximately 35 miles further down I-95, the passenger side rear tire failed (2nd). Both tires were replaced in South Carol
... ina at a tire repair shop. Arrived at final destination that evening (Jacksonville, FL). During trip back to VA while transiting on I-95 N (in GA), a third tire (driver side front) failed, replaced blown tire at a Wal-mart in the area. Remaining tire (same lot and size) which was purchased together, was also removed from the travel trailer at that time due to noted bulging outward circumferentially in the center of the tire tread. In each case, the tire tread separated from the tires, leaving sidewall in place. I have several pictures which record both tire condition, manufacturer and LOT. While there was some moderate damage to my travel trailer, requiring repair, I was fortunate the subject tires did not fail simultaneously which could have resulted in significant stability issues (towing) and potential fatal motor vehicle accident.Read more

I am writing to express a serious safety concern regarding the Mercedes-Benz GLK 350, particularly related to the fuel pump system under the rear passenger area. It has come to my attention that the fuel pumps in these vehicles emit a strong, unpleasant odor every time the car is refueled. This poses a significant risk to both the driver and passengers. I have personally experienced a similar issu
... e with a 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350, where the pumps were constructed with a substandard plastic material that, over time, will melt and start dripping from the top of the pump. This degradation of materials significantly compromises the integrity of the system, creating a serious hazard that could, in the worst case, lead to catastrophic outcomes, including fire or explosion. I strongly urge Mercedes-Benz to investigate and address this issue as a matter of priority. The potential consequences of ignoring this matter are severe, and a permanent solution must be found before any further risk is posed to the safety of vehicle occupants. Thank you for your immediate attention to this critical safety concern. I look forward to your prompt response and the implementation of necessary corrective actions. After screaming for my wife who was asleep with noise canceling headsets she comes up to the front and pushes it back into its latches. Again a few more bumps and it drops again. This happened three times before I could leave the highway at a rest stop. It took several bungees and some props to keep it up and vigilance to get to our destination. I have put some bungees and tye wraps on latches for our return trip home.Read more
