Please read! This is the 10th occurrence of this issue, and second time posting here as a safety issue. I hope no one else experiences this. The issue still cant be diagnosed, so trying for another time. Last time they had the Pacifica for over 7 weeks! As per previous complaint on Jan 6, 2023 with our 2 year old twin toddlers with us in the vehicle again, the vehicle is still having the same safe
... ty issue. I dont feel safe any longer driving my Pacifica. I called the customer care line and was told nothing can be done without a diagnosis. It will be dropped off, but no appt avail for a month. You cant replicate this. No one should have to experience it. **We were driving on the freeway at 55 mph. After 30 min on the freeway at 55-60 mph, the Pacifica all of a sudden states car is not in park, (as it did the previous 9 times) The van will not accelerate, because of the warning saying car is not in park, and Hazard lights wouldn't activate. The car behind me was honking, almost hit me and the car behind them and so on. The Pacifica continued to just glide on the road in the drive position with the same warning over and over car is not in park. We slowed down enough we pressed the brake and put it in park, STILL IN THE LANE ON THE BUSY FREEWAY! With brake depressed, We tried to get the alert to shut off by having the van in park so we can restart it. But the van wont restart as it still says car is not in park, but yet it really is in park. as an FYI, The auto start stop was shut off at start up. We Got the car shut completely off (while still in the lane on the freeway with cars honking away.) and were finally able to get the van to restart, the alerts to go away and off to the side of the freeway and to the exit. Can you imagine how terrifying this is!!! YOU CANT PREDICT WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN! Either you choose drive it and take the risk of your safety or pay for rental to ensure you are safe !! When it is a safety problem, it should be taken more seriously!Read more

I purchased this vehicle new in 2016. It currently has approximately 49,000 miles. It has never been involved in any collision. In Feb. 2023 I took it to a Les Schwab Tire Center to have the drag link replaced & alignment done. When the repairs were completed the technician informed me that I may have a rear axle misalignment as he noticed the rear axle appeared to have shifted to the right of th
... e vehicle & recommended taking it to a collision repair shop for further inspection. My next move was taking it to an independent shop & have the rear leaf springs inspected for correct alignment which found nothing abnormal but they also measured from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel on both sides of the vehicle and found a difference in measurement of approximately 3/4". They had me drive the vehicle down the road as they followed & verified the rear of the truck was tracking to the right. I then proceeded to take it to a Ram Dealer repair shop for inspection & concluded that the rear of the truck was tracking to the right but that they were not equipped to make corrections & recommended taking it to a collision repair shop. I then proceeded with a collision repair shop where they put it on a rack & took measurements of the frame & only found a slight abnormal condition in the frame on the right side in front of the rear axle but concluded that they did not believe it would be was causing the issue. So the issue I have is rear of the truck is tracking to the right. I never knew there was an issue with the truck before I took it to Les Schwab for its first alignment.Read more

The plugs and door latches on both rear doors have repeatedly failed, endangering the safety of my family and other occupants of the vehicle. I am concerned about the safety of drivers and passengers and believe that this issue requires your immediate attention. The plugs and door latches on both rear doors of my Tesla Model Y have failed repeatedly. The failure of the door latches and plugs has
... repeatedly endangered the safety of the occupants, particularly children who may be unable to exit the car in an emergency situation. The door trim falls out of place, locking the occupants in the back of the car. This problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealer, as evidenced by my car's multiple visits to the service center for the same issue. Attached are the documents, they are all for the same issue - though tesla classified them inconsistently. The vehicle has been inspected by the service center, but the problem has persisted despite their attempts to fix it. There were no warning indicators prior to the failure, making the problem even more dangerous as it can occur without the driver's knowledge. I am deeply concerned about this safety issue, particularly given that the 2021 Tesla Model Y is a popular vehicle that is widely used by consumers across the United States. It is vital that action is taken to address this issue and ensure that all affected vehicles are recalled and repaired. I strongly urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue and require a recall of all affected vehicles. The safety of drivers and passengers must be the top priority in the design and manufacture of all vehicles, and it is clear that the Tesla Model Y's rear door latches and plugs are failing to meet necessary standards of safety.Read more

My 2018 Tesla Model 3 Long Range abruptly parks itself when a seatbelt is not used. The car does not wake up when sitting into the driver seat and the likely culprit is the driver side occupant sensor. To wake up the car one must press the brake or tap on the screen multiple times. If the sensor is faulty this means the airbags on the driver side will not deploy due to the car thinking there is no
... occupant. Tesla wants to charge customers $1300 for a replacement seat, which is unfair as it compromises the cars air bags and safety system. The car is drive able even when the sensor is not working. I am scared that if an accident were to occur the airbags will not deploy.Read more

Yesterday I experienced an SUA incident and nearly lost my life. I was entering a freeway and began to accelerate my car. I took my foot on the break and the car began to accelerate and rev completely on its own a

From there I put the car in park and removed my foot from the break pedal. Again the car began to jump to full revs with the engine screaming. I turned the car off and on several times and this continued to happen. After waiting one hour I was able to start the car and drive 20 mph back to my home and I will have it towed to a repair shop shortly. If I panicked or was not strong enough to press down on the brake pedal, the car would have accelerated to full speed and I certainly would have died and likely other people would have too.Read more

While driving in normal conditions most, if not all, of the van's dash warning lights lit up, the van came to a stop on its own (without input from driver) in the middle of the street, put itself in park and would not shift into drive again. This happened in the middle of the street and before it could be moved onto the shoulder. The battery had to be disconnected to allow the computer/electrica
... l system to reset, only then would it move. We are very lucky that this occurred within a 35 mph zone and not in interstate traffic. Even with this happening in a lower speed zone it is still very dangerous for the van to stop unpredictably in the middle of traffic. Again, had this been on interstate it could have been deadly. When attempting to put into reverse or drive, the shifter would shift itself back into park. If placed in neutral the van would engage the electronic parking brake and would not disengage until placed back in park. Given that the main purpose of these vehicles is to ferry children, it is especially concerning that the van is behaving the way it is.Read more

The left front engine cradle collapsed due to rust while driving. this caused the car to swerve to the left, and when the brakes were applied, it also swerved left. The car was almost undriveable. The failure put the driver of the car at risk, and luckily it happened in city driving, and not on the highway. The engine cradle is a component of the frame of the car, and should not be rusting out
... after 130,000 miles. This is why I think this model may need to be subject to investigation and possible recall. The Subaru Dealer (Cityside Subaru) looked at the car and confirmed that the left front cradle collapsed due to rust. They say the repair would cost $2800. There was no warning or indication prior to failure. In fact, we have had this vehicle continuously serviced at the dealership since 2011, and since 2016 we have spent over $16,000 in repairs, including various front wheel components. I would have expected the dealer to notify us if there was a potential problem. Apparently, the update only served to provide a warning on the dash that the engine was about to shut down (which occurred immediately). The dealer has had the vehicle for some time, and the latest update is that they are replacing the vehicle's transmission. Dec. 14, 2018 while driving 50 M.P.H. my 2014 Hyundai Tucson engine: 2.0-L I4-di with 113,000 miles, made an awful sound then moments later, the car engine lost all power, lights and steering. I nearly crashed my car. I was fortunate not to hit the car in front of me who immediately after my engine failed, suddenly stopped to make a left turn barely missing this car, I then had to correct my skid
... then make an abrupt 90 right hand turn off the highway and up a steep driveway, praying it was enough of an incline to slow my car bringing my car to a safe stop. Unable to restart the engine, the key having failed to illuminate the engine lights again, I was forced to call and pay for the car towed back to the Laconia, N.H. Hyundai dealer where I purchased the car and within 2,900 miles before the catastrophic engine failure. After five days I called the dealership only to find out then that the Hyundai Tucson's engine was blown and needed to be replaced. I was told there were no new Hyundai engines available, due to thousands of reported engine failures of the Hyundai 2.0 engine and, I would need to purchase a junkyard engine with and pay for another warranty. I can only hope the seriousness of the 2014 Hyundai Tucson catastrophic engine failure hazard convinces the N.H.T.S.A. to force Hyundai USA, 2.0 L I 4 direct injection engine to recall all Tucson models with these motors, joining other 2.0 engines installed in the recalled Santa Fe's and Santa Fe models with the exact same motor in my car.Read more
