They verified failures and out-of-date software in our vehicle in this last service visit. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? This vehicle has been directly inspected by Cadillac engineering through our selling dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Rear sliding window leak and has saturated seat and carpet causing an unhealthy environment. Spoke with dealer and was told it is a design flaw and repairs are not covered under extended warranty. I was also told it is only a temporary fix and “ leak will reoccur”. I only realized of the problem when soap residue was seen on the inside of the widow. Dealer gave estimate of repair.

This warning light has been present since I test drove this car in March 2023. The dealership stated if I purchased the vehicle they would fix the issue before I took delivery after purchasing the vehicle in March 2023 the warring light came on several times within hours of picking up the vehicle. I took the vehicle back to the dealer at least twice within a week or so to have them fix the issue,
... finally the service department at McGee took the car to Mastria Nissan. Mastria is a certified Nissan dealer. Mastria fixed the issue by re-calibrating the sensor in the front bumper that governs the Automatic Braking System (AEB). This sensor also controls the cruise control system as well. Mastria Nissan fixed the sensor on or around May 12, 2023. It is now September 2023 and this same sensor, same warning light and same error code is coming on continuously every time I drive the vehicle. That is less than 4 months of driving. I have checked around the sensor. There are no obstructions around the sensor. There is no dirt or corrosion around the sensor and it is extremely affixed to its mounting bracket. There is no logical reason for this sensor to be failing within less than 4 months of driving. This is a poor and shoddy design malfunction on Nissan’s part. This defective equipment installed on my 2019 Nissan Sentra is a serious safety concern. If this sensor stops working or malfunctions while driving, this could cause a loss of control while on the road. As this sensor governs the AED system this could cause a loss of control while on the road or worse. I could end up driving off the road uncontrolled. It could also result in a collision with another vehicle on the road. This safety issue needs to be fixed by Nissan.Read more

Context: My wife replaced the driver’s side airbag per the 2019 Toyota Corolla recall at a Columbia, MO dealership. We’ve since moved to North Carolina. The airbag light and maintenance light came on, and we took it to the mechanic close to our new home. They ran a diagnostics report to determine the airbag on the driver’s side needed to be replaced. I tried contacting corporate customer service as well as the dealership that did the original replacement in 2019. I was told that all repairs only have a 12-month warranty. While I understand this is the policy, I do not agree that an airbag replacement should be charged out of pocket after 4 years of replacement. Either the original 2019 replacement was not correctly executed, or the vehicle manufacturer needs to issue another recall. It does not make sense to me that an airbag should last 4 years, and we should have to pay $1,200. In addition to this, the service manager at the Columbia, MO (Joe Machen’s) Toyota was extremely unprofessional. He said that my wife should have drove (with an inoperable airbag) to a Toyota dealership, which came across as unethical in my opinion. I would like to officially request a reimbursement of “good will” from Toyota. I have a work order and a paid receipt to provide any evidence that is required. ... y engage. Now they go on/off continuously while at all speeds, including highway speed. Now the doors can be opened, and the noise itself is considerably distracting. It also allows for anyone, while parked at a stoplight or freeway exit, to open the doors. The dealership inspected it and quoted over $900 for the repairs, however I do not agree with this assessment. For a 2018 $30k+ vehicle, a basic function like this should not be malfunctioning. This is not normal wear and tear like brake pads. The cost to repair is unreasonable, and it is not covered under the warranty. There are no warning lights and indicators appearing on the vehicle noting the issue. The issue is ongoing every instance the vehicle is driven and we do not feel safe due to the distraction or the possibility of kids opening the doors while driving (or someone on the outside). The dealer also advised there's a possibility the locks will further malfunction and we could get locked inside or outside the vehicle. Issue is Kia requires this part to be repaired, but not only do they not have in stock, they can't even give me an estimate of when I could possibly get my car back. Their resolution is to have the consumer pay for their own rental car at $45/day until further notice, or I should explore my options for a trade in. If they're doing business this way and not valuing their customer, why would I want to start over? Kia has conducted a recall on Kia Souls for the same issue on 4/15/2022, looks like they need to go ahead and recall the Sorento's as well as there are many consumers in my same situation. So sad that Kia will not work with their customers, they should have parts in stock or readily available to be shipped. And especially if there are many people on backorder, it seems like a growing problem and Kia should be prepared for the influx. As of today, 9/19/2023, Kia Consumer Complaints has stated they have escalated my part, but still can't give me an ETA or will not offer assistance for their short comings.Read more

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Unable to shut down vehicle for 2-3 minutes Check Engine Light illuminated Dash Diagnostic screen: “Service Charging System” error Electric Power available: 56% Fuel: 3/8th) - 17 SEPTEMBER: After running a preliminary diagnostic test with my personal OBD tester, I noticed that the Check Engine Light turned off after the connection activated. I did NOT clear any codes. After printing the list of faults generated from the evening prior, I chose to take it for a short test drive. While waiting at a stop light within a mile from my house, the same issue occurred again, “Service Charging System” error followed by two additional alternating notification on the dash, “Service Shifter” error and “Service Shifter Stop Safely Shut Off Vehicle to Engage Park,” with the transmission indicator selector knob lost illumination and became non-responsive. (as seen in attached pictures from previous incidents) Luckily, everyone was stopped this time.
