Over the last month I noticed that my brakes would feel funny sometimes, like they were going to just grab suddenly vs stopping slowly. Then yesterday, 2/27/24, I received a warning that my ESC and ABS systems needed service and that I no longer had AWD capability. The message would stay on for several minutes, then shut off for several minutes, then come back on again.

Horn will honk when steering wheel was turned to the right or left but could not get it to honk when the steering wheel was in the straight or normal position. The sneaky way this is being done is horrific and on a massive scale. I was duped into getting the recalls from the letters sent out by Hyundai and at no point was there transparency about what would and did happen with my vehicle (and many others). No acknowledgement on how most if not all cars who get the update fail about 10 miles after driving it again, and lose power (I was on the highway in the far left lane). I was robbed of my ability to make an informed decision about my vehicle, this whole process is shrouded in secrecy from the consumer and I'm left holding the bag and the dangerous un drivable vehicle. I'm not sure how I can be cohersed from the manufacturer to let them fix their initial errors and be left with a non working car and expected to pay for the bill. There was no transparency about what I was signing up for, the ramifications and the safety hazards with the cars being statistically most likely to fail on the way home. What they are doing to me and many other people is dangerous and extremely wrong on many levels. ... warnings that I cannot recall. The ABS brakes were not working, nor was the power steering. The car indicated that it needed to be put into park, and allowed for the turning of the dial; however, the dash indicated that the vehicle was moving too quickly to shift into park. We were able to make a turn onto a street with an uphill incline from the road we were driving on; and the brakes stopped the car - using a lot of force as the ABS braking system was still malfunctioning. The vehicle was put into park and the parking brake indicated that it was active; but of course could not be trusted as the indicators on the dash had been so haywire just moments before. While the vehicle was “off” the horn was still blaring (both short beeps and intermittently long blares), the rear wiper was still active (while in the off position), and the interior lights were flickering. This continued until the red connector was disconnected from the battery. The black connector seemed to make no change, connected or not. When the red connector was reconnected, the electrical issues seemed to be replicated with the horn and rear wiper. The vehicle was towed and we have no current answers. This was extremely dangerous as we lost all power and control of the car. We were driving, on what is oftentimes, a very busy street.Read more

I ran into a very dangerous situation last Monday. I was driving on a freeway and car Brokedown, accelarator unresponsive , got "Service charging system" car lost power It was very dangerous and someohow I was able to get into Shoulder lane and with God's grace we survived. my car randomly would not start upon shutting car off and returning to vehicle the car would not start with the keys that was given to me from the dealership that i purchased the vehicle from. it has been having coolant issues where it was reading high temperature then would go back to normal operating temperature very shortly and would happen off and on. it was serviced for this issue at Boubin A
... utomotive in Waterloo, Iowa and they stated that it was empty on coolant refilled it and seemed to not have any leaks and it drove fine for a few weeks and then had the coolant issue where the car would read high temperature then would go back to normal and kept doing so. The day i parked it and returned to it and it would not start it showed high temperature immiedately and would not start. had it towed to a mechanic shop habhab's towing in ames iowa where they stated there was no coolant in it once again and they pressure checked the vehicle and it passed the pressure test for the motor but had no coolant in it, and still would not start stating that the pcm is bad in the vehicle. it has shown the exact signs of the recall in this vehicle that ford has released and i am trying to get the car covered under the recall because its showing the exact same issues as the new recall that was put out. please contact me at [XXX] is my cell phone number.
