... k (hatch area) lights are "running lights" only. During daylight, the mid-section rear lights are not illuminated at any time per design (neither turn signal nor brake lights); yet, this creates a confusing (at minimum) situation for fellow drivers who are following the car. Although placement of the brake lights down below in the bumper section meets safety guidelines, the typical driver (myself included) is trained to watch for brake lights and turn signals in tail-light mid-section on the back of the vehicle. In addition to this, owners of bigger / taller trucks and SUVs who may be following a bit too closely may not see the bumper brake lights at all. Today, the theory was tested in real life, as I was nearly "rear-ended" by another vehicle in moderate city traffic while stopped at a stop light. The driver coming up behind me slammed on his brakes and screeched to a stop while I moved forward slightly to avoid the crash. Naturally, the other driver thought my brake lights were non-functioning as he passed me yelling through his rolled down window I needed to "fix (my) fu*king brakes lights". THIS HAPPENED AFTER DRIVING THE CAR FOR A MERE 200 MILES AFTER I PURCHASED LAST WEEK. If I extrapolate, this means my life will potentially be in danger from a rear end collision *50 TIMES* over the next year assuming I conservatively drive 10,000 miles. This is incredibly unacceptable and is shameful. GM needs to recall these vehicles immediately and install appropriate brake and turn signal lights. And suggested I get a hold of Honda. I made a 3rd call ,same thing voicemail. Finally five days later after emailing the service department manager. I finally got a phone call back. I basically was told there’s nothing they can do for me. The quote for the car was $600 more than my mechanic. So my mechanic fixed it. Two weeks later, the service manager called me and told me it was covered under warranty. But I had already had the car fixed. Brad Haag from Honda of Middleburg Heights told me to send my receipt to iHonda corporate, and they said they could not help me. After doing some research on the Internet this seems to be a very common problem with Honda CRV’s. I truly believe this is a safety issue. I could’ve been killed that day.. My Subaru 2019 Outback has had 5 replacement windshields in 10 months. The report states: “Subaru field engineer determined caused by chip.” As the driver of the vehicle, NOTHING has hit the windshield while driving, nothing of note that is, normal things like rain, sunshine, and wind, which is what a windshield is meant to protect against.The other techs at the dealer could not make out a point of impact. I picked up my vehicle from the dealer at 6pm, drove it a few miles on the freeway, maintaining safe follow distances with my new windshield, and when I got back in the car 2 hours later there were 4 cracks stemmed from the bottom of the windshield that stretched up more than 6 inches. The windshield is currently cracked and I’m waiting for Subaru of America to get back to me on this issue. There is a problem with the windshields and someone needs to take responsibility for it. One or two cracked windshields can be explained, but now with the most recent one, that’s 6 cracks in 10 months. It seems there is a defect.Read more

I had to disconnect the horn (on both sides) because it would keep randomly going off with no way to stop it. Cruise control stopped working one day. Sometimes it comes up when I press cruise control but it turns off when I try setting a speed. Drivers window broke inside, I think something snapped inside the door. I've had it replaced 3 times but it keeps breaking. A/C makes an awful grinding noise sometimes, but it goes away if I turn the A/C off then back on. Also with the A/C, a door or something inside the dash will get stuck every so often and it makes a LOUD clicking like noise but it goes away after about 20 seconds (something to do with the actuator?). Brake light will come on sometimes when I stop. It goes away shortly after I start driving again. ABS light has been on my dash for a few months now. Most of these issues have been happening for over a year now. Most of this shows up under a recall from 2008, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: WIRING. Mercedes Benz gave an extended warranty on the program for extension of 10 years but the problem has been happening for multiple people and it has been happening again that this warrants a recall over a poorly designed part that can destroy the car’s engine. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No such codes or messages. Which is why this is so scary. We have an issue with our Cosco Mightyfit LX Convertible Car Seat that we purchased in 2021 from Walmart. About 5 times now, when we have gone to get our child out of the seat, one of the straps has disconnected by itself from the rear buckle loop holder. The first time it happened we thought it may be a fluke, but given it has happened now about 5 times we are concerned about the continued use of

We are concerned that if involved in a crash, one side (or both) of the chest straps would somehow come undone and our child would not be secured in his seat. Once we re-connect the strap to the buckle/loop on the back side of the car seat, it seems to be okay again for a little bit, but there is no notice or appearance of issues until some time later we go to unbuckle him and realize one strap just pulls out of the back of the seat. Additionally, the issue seems to occur regardless of installation method. It has occurred with both the latch system and the vehicle's seat belt. Issue seems to be regardless of seat installation location as we have had it happen in both the 2nd and 3rd rows. Vehicle seems to not play a factor as well. To answer the suggested questions very specifically: -What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The harness. Specifically, part of the 5-point harness that is the shoulder strap (left side usually) -How was the child’s safety put at risk? Child would not be secure in instance of crash and liable to come out of their car seat or not remain as firmly planted as designed. -Has the car seat been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? I bought the vehicle in December 2020 from a dealership in Mason, Ohio named Borcherding Buick GMC. I asked, specifically to make sure the vehicle did not have any issues, especially transmission issues and for this to be researched, as well. I was not made aware of Bulletin No.: 18-NA-358, which affected Buick Enclave models from 2014-2017. I purchased the vehicle and sent a wire transfer for the
... purchase price to the dealership through my bank, USAA. We began experiencing transmission slips about a year into the ownership, and I had my mechanic look into the issue. He had just replaced the transmission on my wife’s 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan previously when it experienced a catastrophic failure and had to be replaced. This is the reason I asked to make sure the transmission on the 2014 Buick Enclave was working correctly and properly and there were no known issues. The mileage of the vehicle was under 60,000 miles at the time of purchase, so this should not have been an issue for the vehicle at all and the previous owner was, apparently, an elderly woman who had the vehicle serviced at the shop, but I cannot confirm this. The point being, there was a known issue with this vehicle that was not disclosed to me that General Motors was aware of and could have led to me not purchasing the vehicle. We needed an SUV to drive my wife and daughter(s) to and from volleyball tournaments and something that we did not have to worry about. The result is a replacement transmission paid for by me out of pocket by a GM dealership. GM refuses to acknowledge their faulty transmission. The rebuilt transmission is experiencing the same issues the old one was and GM wants me to take it in and have it “looked at”. The transmission is faulty! They know this and they refuse to reimburse my costs and refuse to acknowledge the dangers this transmission imposes to drivers and our families!
