Car is less than 4 years old with 35k miles and battery has been replaced twice, battery issue causes car to not start or shut off while driving, after doing research online it appears over 500 other drivers have stated they have the same issue. I'm assuming there must be an issue with wiring etc

Vehicle developed the infamous "hemi tick" chronicled in multiple news articles, bulletins & complaints. Defective exhaust manifold design causes it to trap heat, melting the bolts and cracking the manifolds. This leads to loud ticking when engine is started from cold and can eventually lead to engine failure. Had to have both manifolds replaced, along with gaskets.

While driving, the vehicle spontaneously goes into limp mode and warns the driver to pull over immediately because it is about to shut down. This has happened at least 10 times in my ownership of this vehicle since 10/04/2023 and the first time on 10/09/2024 and most recently occurred 07/06/2024. Several times were significantly more dangerous and occurred while traveling 70mph on a busy interstate and forcing us to navigate across several lanes of traffic into the emergency lane in a vehicle that is no longer able to keep up with traffic due to significant power loss when limp mode. Once pulled over, the vehicle must be turned off for several seconds before restarting and driven again. Occupants are at significant risk of being involved in a collision during the entire process from unexpected power loss, navigating traffic with said power loss, parking and restarting the vehicle on the side of a busy road, and attempting to safely merge back into traffic which is often traveling 70+mph. This entire issue is due to a faulty wiring harness in the transmission of 2017-2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid that can short circuit and requires immediate shutdown of the vehicle when it occurs. Thus far the only remedy from Chrysler is a software update which installs a driver warning to pull over and restart the vehicle before it shuts down instead of immediately shutting off. This is marginally better than complete power loss but still poses significant increased safety risk for passengers and surrounding vehicles and a remedy that stops the failure from occurring in the first place needs to be implemented immediately. This has been known to effect 70,000 vehicles from 2017-2023 year models and the fact that a remedy to the actual problem has not yet been made is appalling and dangerous.Read more

My car is at around 42,000 miles and has had an engine maintenance light on. I take it in and it’s a defective coolant bypass valve issue. The dealership tried to charge me 800 dollars to replace it. It’s an apparent fault on their part since it has been an apparent problem with other toyota corollas with a lawsuit already filed.

Hello, I have a serious problem with my Hyundai Tucson 2017 which is excessively burning oil. An oil change has been done on December 26 2023 (125.600) and a service was due 3 month later (3.000 miles) to perform an oil change but when I went for the oil change on March 26, 2024 at Jiffy Lube, they noticed that there was no oil in the engine and no leaks and suspected that the vehicle might burn
... oil and the performed a full synthetic oil change (service due after 7500 miles) and after 2800 miles on May 17, 2024 when I checked the oil level, I couldn't see any mark on the stick. I brought them the car and they checked if there was any leak then they filled up the engine. I was monitoring and on June 15, 2024 after 780 miles the level was below the minimum level. I bought a Mobil 1 full synthetic motor oil 5W-30 and filled up the engine up to the maximum level mark on the stick. 2 weeks later, on June 28 I noticed that the oil level was close to the minimum level again. I booked an appointment at Hyundai dealership at Gaithersburg, MD and they refused to check the vehicle without a payment. I paid for the diagnosis and 2 day after they ended up saying that the vehicle is burning 1 quart every 2660 miles (which is below what we observed) and they asked me to pay $1235 for a combustion chamber cleaning to which they added it might not work. After a full stop, the take-off is “sluggish” - The truck gets moving in the 1st gear, the engine revs up to 2500 - 3000 RPM the transmission hesitatingly shifts into 3rd (always skipping 2nd), the noticeable sound of ‘gear grinding’ is heard when the 3rd gear is engaging. The whole process usually takes 2 to 3 seconds, the truck would literally "drift" before any noticeable acceleration is achieved. It happened to us previously, while we were on the interstate driving approx 65 mph, and it almost caused us to crash the vehicle. Another problem to also note, is this same problem has caused the A/C unit to stop working. Blows out hot air, but will not produce cold air. A/C was completely replaced. Still not working. Mechanic says yet again, it's a failure of electrical sources due to the TIPM module. This should be an immediate recall from Chrysler, for 2013 Town N Country Minivan. Over 200 logged complaints of the exact same problem. They manufactured a broken TIPM module in these make & model vehicles. Now, my husband is stranded 200 miles from home, on the side of the road, and it's 98 degrees out. This is 4th time, weve experienced a total power failure. So it doesn't matter if you replace the fuel pump, it will still DIE. We are having this POS towed to our local mechanic, AGAIN. Its available for inspection. Problems have been confirmed by an independent servicer. Check engine remains on. Someone is going to die, if Chrysler doesn't issue an recall for this ongoing problem. I can not recreate the problem, if I use the key fob and hold the unlock bottom to open all 4 windows, sometimes 3 out of the 4 windows will open and the last one has to be manually reset. The dealership looked at it and reset the window they mentioned, the problem still exists. Fast forward to the next day, the dealer called and they told me nothing was wrong with the vehicle. I immediately called Jeep cares. 3 business days later, Jeep Cares called back and said they are not willing to buy back our vehicle but will have it towed 190 miles to a dealer that is closer to our house. This shows me that they are 100% aware of this issue but don’t want to lose their shirt on this car. I refuse to drive it now, especially with my kids. There's a leak by the rear fuse box. Moisture and water gets on the fuses. My sunroof and sunshade have stopped working. I noticed the Julian date on my sunroof motor falls with in the date range that it needs to be replaced cause it could be a faulty one.

... ent we ran OBD scanner, C0800 code was showing for Power Steering Control Module, recommended repair was the replace battery, even though the battery was good. We went ahead and replaced the battery anyways, issue was not immediately resolved but after running the truck for an hour and then going for a test drive power steering returned a mile down the road. That was around May 11th. Issue hadn’t returned until today, June 22nd where it’s went on and off a handful of time before totally loosing power steering for over 5 hours now. 2015 model years had an issue the power steering rack wiring, dealer said they assume it could be same issue. Connections to the steering rack where check and corrosion was found but they won’t fix because it’s not a recall even though it’s the same corrosion issue the 2015 models had.Read more

This 2024 Nissan Versa is a manual transmission purchased new in March 2024. On (3) separate incidents, there was a loss of power after stalling the engine and restarting the vehicle. ... as operating on lower power and no matter what gear I put it in, it would not speed up. I was not able to reach highway speeds in a timely fashion. It took several minutes to get to the correct speed. (approx. 5-10 mins) Incident 2 (6/13/24) Stalled in a parking garage in 2nd gear. Once I restarted the engine, there was very little power. I was not able to gain speed to the speed limit. Incident 3 (6/26/24) Stalled on a hill again when the hill assist did not disengage fully. Once restarted, there was very little power and I was unable to gain speed. In all 3 incidents, pulling over, shutting off the vehicle, opening the door and closing and allowing the vehicle to rest reset solved the issue. Our safety was put at risk as we were unable to speed up to acceptable levels after stalling and pulling into traffic. Stalling the vehicle happens from time to time but it doesn't always result in loss of power after restart. No warning lights, no audibles occurred. Vehicle will be scheduled for safety check with Nissan. I suspect this might be an electronics/computer malfunction rather than mechanical issue.Read more
