After driving at highway speed, 75-80 MPH for about 6 hours, the steering felt heavy, minor steering input resulted in major directional changes. The steering direction felt locked in that minor turn position and required significant effort over what was normal to return the direction to straight and that action caused a dramatic directional change. Upon my return home, I had the vehicle inspecte
... d by the dealer, Kelly Ford in Melbourne Florida and they could not identify or duplicate the problem. I have significant experience in vehicle operation, including being a Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations driving instructor and this condition was extremely dangerous. Controlling the vehicle, keeping it in a lane and recovering from navigating curves in the road was a significant challenge. There were no notifications of an issue displayed on the dashboard before, during or after the event. The problem was not an issue at lower speed, below 45 MPH after exiting the highway or when running at highway speed with everything cold from an overnight park until after 5-6 hours of operation at highway speed when the issue returned. After the initial onset of the issue on July 30, It reoccured on July 31. Our trips ater that were shorter until August 6 on our drive from Wilson NC to our home in Palm Bay FL when the problem recurred. I finally found a place to report issues with my 2023 Ram ProMaster 3500. I have experienced different issues with this vehicle. The turn indicator failure first started around 8000 miles. The door ajar light for the sliding door started around 35000 miles. What I believe is the traction control, has been an ongoing issue unsure of when it started, but is the most common issue. 1) Multiple times,
... the left turn signal randomly fails, the bulb indicator light turns on. The front left and mirror signal don't work. While the rear one does. Then out of nowhere, it starts to work again. Has happened multiple times. 2) multiple times right side sliding door sensor fails. Can be up to 2 hours after driving, the door ajar symbol comes on. Making the user interface unusable. Stop the van, open and close the door, it clears it. Then shortly later, the door ajar indicator comes on. And with the door ajar light illuminated, it does not allow the doors to be locked. 3) the traction control (i believe), on one side or the other, will grab, making a grinding noise, slow the vehicle down slightly and pull it slightly in that direction. It happens on any surface type, dry, wet, or icy. And happens at highway speeds, 50-80 mph. I've notice it happen a quite a few times when passing another vehicle. Which ever side the vehicle is on that you are passing, that side will grind (activate)Read more

We purchased a new 2024 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid (the “Vehicle”) on [XXX]. At the time of purchase, the Vehicle had 15 miles on it. On [XXX], while driving on [XXX] with my wife and three children in the Vehicle, the Vehicle engine shut off. The first notice I had of a problem was the Vehicle engine shutting off while, at the same time, the dashboard indicated that the Vehicle would shut off i
... n two minutes. The Vehicle did not allow me any time to get safely off of the highway; it just shut off, i.e., the warning did not actually give me two minutes’ warning. In light of the Vehicle engine shutting off unexpectedly, and because of the volume of traffic, I had to coast to a stop on the left shoulder. I was then stranded in the Vehicle in the left shoulder of [XXX] on a busy weekend morning, with other cars speeding by, with my entire family in the car. For approximately 15 to 25 minutes, my family and I sat in the shoulder of [XXX]. Eventually, after having tried numerous times to restart the Vehicle, it restarted. We drove the Vehicle to the nearest Chrysler service department. An employee identified a code, P0A78, which he indicated might be an issue, but he could not be sure without further diagnostics. He indicated that the error code did not create a concern that driving the Vehicle would damage its engine. We got back in the Vehicle and resumed our trip. About half an hour later, the Vehicle engine again shut off. Again, the dashboard did not give advance warning before shutting off, such that I had to again coast the Vehicle to a stop in the shoulder. After about 5 or 10 minutes, I was able to get the Vehicle started again, and I was able to drive it back to the service department. The service department let me know it believed that the Vehicle’s transmission needed to be replaced. Chrysler has since approved a buy-back of the Vehicle. This seems very similar to NHTSA Campaign Number 23V010000, though the Vehicle is a 2024 model. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5Read more

The vehicle would not drive greater than 5mph and posed a safety risk on the road so was towed to the dealer. The hybrid battery coolant hose was replaced and I picked up the vehicle on [XXX].
