This prompted me to look at the manual where I saw Honda has a list of reasons the emergency braking could activate despite "little chance of collision". The list is extensive with many reasons the system could activate incorrectly causing an accident, not preventing one. The unexpected braking itself is terrifying but how difficult Honda makes it to "opt out" of the system that obviously has many flaws is even more concerning. I tried to turn off this system only to find out that it is a multi step process that can only be done when stopped so if you forget to turn it off you are stuck using it even if you don't trust the system. Every other safety setting can be turned off while driving except this one. Why make it so difficult for the driver to choose to have complete control of their car, especially when their system is admittedly flawed. In addition, the emergency braking system is the only safety feature that resets every time you shut off the car. So every single time you start the engine you have to go through multiple steps to choose to have control of your own vehicle. It seems the system that is the most flawed is the only one Honda is trying to force drivers to use. This is not safe for my family or those driving around me. I called Honda and they told me there is nothing that can be done to disable it and have the setting hold even after turning off the car like all the other safety setting.Read more

... celerate the vehicle whatsoever, the gas pedal did absolutely nothing, which can lead to an accident on the highway due to other vehicles moving very quickly and not expecting a vehicle that is not at the right of the road to come to a stop. I brought the vehicle to the Chrysler Dealership where they initially stated this is a known issue and they would be replacing the transmission and that the transmission is under 10-year/unliminted miles warranty for this specific error (POA43 Driver Motor), however once the dealership spoke with Chrysler corporate, they indicated that they would simply be clearing the code and they returned the car to us. We were advised to bring the vehicle back when the error recurs. We opted to sell the vehicle immediately instead, because it it not safe to drive now, but unfortunately this means we are passing the problem on to another consumer as Chrysler refuses to fix the problem. Our 2108, Ford F-250, Lariat model with extended cab, the sunroof brackets (plastic) broke and the sunroof can not be opened or closed, and became loose. The brackets that hold the glass in place are made of plastic and they deteriorated to the point where they would no longer hold the glass in place. Our F250 was taken into our local Ford dealership service department and upon inspection the tech indicated that both sides of the plastic arm brackets were broken and the window was non-operable. As per technicians official vehicle report it required replacement of FL3Z 1651070 E :GUIDE. We had the camper towed to an authorized service dealer in Surprise, AZ, where the brakes were replaced and a switch was installed to prevent the solar panels from overloading the battery. The brakes continued to be an issue despite being sent on our way with assurances that the brakes were working. While traveling, we realized that our brakes were not functioning and were cold to the touch even after using them during travel. In February, we heard loud, metallic clanking from the right side of the brakes and returned to a dealership in Tucson, Arizona, for repair . The service manager shared that the right brake was burned up and pieces had broken off inside the drum. They replaced the brakes so that we could safely move on. Traveling from Tucson, Arizona, to Albuquerque, New Mexico, we again discovered that the right side brake was not functioning so we found a storage facility and put the trailer into storage so we could travel safely. We again contacted Grand Design and schedule service for the brakes for May 2024. Again, the service department replaced the brakes and assured us that the issue was resolved. It was not. Traveling from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to our home in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, we found that the brakes on the right side of the trailer were not working and were cold to the touch. Travelling without functioning brakes represents a serious risk to our safety as well as the safety of other travelers. We still have no resolution from Grand Design. ... out. Given Honda has a Bulletin about it and there was a NHTSA campaign for it, which affects safety it seems Honda should be covering this repair. (NHTSA Campaign # 18V663000) Was told it only affected a few vehicles and ours wasnt part of the campaign even though it’s the exact problem ours has. The car feels unsafe with it the steering becoming unpredictable and it should be Hondas responsibility to rectify this safety issue especially since the company knows of it, yet the dealer told me wouldn’t be covered and I would have to pay $4417.21 to fix this! I dont have that type of money laying around for this big of a repair! Let alone why would I want to pay for it when it sounds like a known issue that Honda should be doing the right thing and covering what sounds like a manufacturing defect. Dealer seemed to reference Honda Service Bulletin 18-103 which exactly describes our issue in the CRV and seems to also match the same statement of the NHTSA bulletin above. We ended up paying to get the vehicle fixed at Honda Dealer, and Honda Corporate refused to help us out at all, receiving an emailed reply that our vehicle is out of warranty and we should just consider this the normal cost of ownership. I decided it was time to file a complaint after seeing even brand new CR-V's are being recalled for steering issues as well now. With that in mind my Juicebox level 2 charger now becomes a dumb charger with no app functionality to turn down the amps produced by the charger.
