While driving, the vehicle shut off without warning. It was in-traffic when this occurred and subsequently blocked traffic. I tried to restart the vehicle many times. It would start and then die within a few seconds. Since the vehicle would not remain running, it was impossible to shift out of the "park" position. Since it was in "park", the vehicle could not be readily moved out of traffic.

This condition indicates excessive pressure leakage to the crankcase that is caused by a crack or failure to the #1 piston which is a very, very, very common failure with an extensive and indisputably documented history with the 1.4 engine throughout the history of the Chevrolet Cruze since its introduction. Compression test shows cylinder #1 at about 80 PSI while cylinders 2, 3, and 4 are at 190 PSI. This proves that there is a catastrophic compression leak down into the engine crankcase causing the misfire P0300 and the resulting excessive crankcase pressure causing the oil leak at the front of the engine and the expelling of air and oil from the dipstick tube and from the oil filler cap. This needs to be a warranty repair and the cost covered 100% by GM as it is a known defect with this engine since it has been first been used in their cars. We are showing many signs of excessive frame flex/failure in our 2023 Grand Design Momentum 397THS. Our baggage/storage doors do not properly fit nor lock. Excessive amounts of water that saturate all of the insulation-- causing us to drive with extra weight until we can stop and replace it all. Not sure where the water even comes from. Our filon around the hitch is seperating. Our pinch molding on both sides completely falls out. The screws holding front cap to roof popped out, sealant broken. There is wall separation in the lower deck. This causes excess rubbing of the walls, popping trim pieces off, and dust left after any movement of the RV. There is loud creaking and popping as we lift our RV off of our truck. The lag bolts are unscrewing themselves from the frame in the upper deck. Slide in the upper deck is digging into the flooring, leaving indentations, while in transit. Floor creaking in upper deck. Our electrical wiring for our running lights/turn signals/brake lights, as well as our leveling system wires were zip tied to the spindle of our slide. This caused the wires to wrap around over and over and slice themselves apart. They offered and I accepted 50% of the repair cost but no towing. After some research I discovered there was a recall (18V358000) for an erlier model for a similar problem . The recall was for the fuel pump separating from the base which could damage the fuel line and create a fire hazard. In my case the entire pump came loose which leads to the same result as the pump separating from the mounting plate.Read more

Just before hitting 100k miles and planning for timing belt maintenance, I got hit with the well known VCM V6 engine issue. Fix for 7k from my own pocket? No. I just replaced spark plugs and as the advisor suggested I have to install the VCM Muzzler (from after market, as Honda don't do this) to deactivate ECO mode in order to prevent future damage. I hope NHTSA will force Honda to recognize this

My daughter was rear-ended in her 2017 Jetta while stopped. The other driver was going approximately 45 mph, forcing my daughter into the car in front of her as well, causing significant front impact and damage to the vehicle. The air bag did not deploy. The amount of impact seems as though the airbag should have deployed. She suffered a mild concussion and whiplash from the impact.
