The dealer notified the contact of the recall for the fuel pump, and the vehicle was repaired for the most recent failure, and the recall repair was performed. My infotainment display has a prevalent ghost touch issue that causes majors distractions while I'm driving, and no warnings on when it'll happen. The ghost touch will end my navigation, end my calls or put them on hold, call random people in my contacts, turns on/off the music, changes the volume, changes various settings (sometimes safety settings), switching back/forth to different things, etc.
... It used to only happen when the car was not moving or I'm parked (as the touchscreen is only supposed to be available then), but now it's happening even when I'm driving on the freeway. I used to try correcting/fixing whatever by using the knob control, but the problem can become so severe that even when I use the physical knob I can't gain control over it. I can't turn off the infotainment display because the ghost touch just turns it back on! I brought it into my local Mazda dealership for regular servicing and decided to ask about it, but they're quoting me over $800 to fix it. They said it's a common issue they get all the time and it's something to do with a faulty screen?? Not too sure what exactly, but a friend of mine said he had the same issue and the issue was too sporadic he decided to disconnect the touch screen altogether. It's too much of a distraction to deal with while driving, even for quick trips to the store, etc. It causes cognitive, visual, and manual distractions...these faulty screens are putting us all at a higher risk of being involved in an accident by taking our attention away from driving, even for just a split second.Read more

This morning it was 16 degrees F I drove about 6 city miles at about 35 mph. I was 1.5 miles from home when leaving a stop light the truck bogged down and was only going up to about 25 mph with the tach at 2000 rpm. Put on the flashers and drove about 15 mph with the tach at 1500-2000rpm. The dash displayed "Brake system failure 62 mph top speed", "Service ESC", "Parking brake failure" and "Service trailer brake system", The brake pedal was changing its height by itself. Pulled to side of road and pumped the brakes several times, shifted the transmission through park, neutral, reverse and drive and it seemed to operate normally. Pulled onto road and it was bogging down the same. Pulled to side of road again. Then started driving again with flashers on and the tranny shifted as normal, but the brake pedal went to the floor. Pumped the brake pedal and it still went to the floor. Drove slowly while checking the brake occasionally but still went to the floor during the 5 blocks to my driveway. The brake had no effect. My driveway slopes slightly upward so I stopped safely. All four wheel centers and brake rotors were too hot to touch after slowly driving the 1.5 miles this occurred over. About 15 minutes later I turned on the key and the dash displayed "Brake system failure 43 mph top speed", "Service ESC", and "Service trailer brake system". Fortunately there were no vehicles close in front of me when this started and many were behind me when driving with my flashers on due to quite a bit of traffic. ... I arrived home and did some online research. It turns out that my front seat warmer had malfunctioned, burning all the way through the leather. This problem is well documented online in various forums in my year, make and model. In some cases I read about, driver's clothing burned. In one case I found, a child was burned. This is also a well documented problem that occurred in earlier models of Mercedes, resulting in a lawsuit and a recall. My car is currently at the dealer for repair of the faulty seat warmer, replacement of the burned foam cushion, and replacement of the leather seat cover. This could have been so much worse had I been earlier in my commute, or on a highway where I could not have pulled over. It seems like this problem should prompt a recall.Read more

My 2019 First Edition I-Pace is subject to Jaguar recall H514, as per both the NHTSA and Jaguar web sites the solution is to repurchase the vehicle from me AFTER decreasing my max charge to 80% significantly reducing my available range, to the point I cannot rely on the vehicle for trips I was able to complete with no issue prior to the reduction in max charge. I have called Jaguar multiple times
... , as well as sending them email requesting status, in every contact the response from Jaguar has been as follows: "Customers affected by the H514 recall will be contacted in the coming weeks by a specialized team dedicated to handling this process. This team will provide detailed information and discuss available options for your vehicle." My last communication from Jaguar was Jan 6th. It is now two plus weeks post the last email, and still no contact from Jaguar, while driving a car that does not meet the specifications as stated by Jaguar when I bought the car. At this point it appears that Jaguar is purposely dragging their feet to induce owners to take the drastic action of trying to trade their car in on something different, when it is well known the cars are effectively non sellable due to the battery issues. Again, reading numerous owner forums some owners have just given up and are buying a replacement vehicle and dealing on their own trying to dispose of their 2019 I-Pace. My understanding is that once it was determined that repurchase was the only recourse that the NHTSA has an expectation of timely response from Jaguar to owners on completing this unfortunate process. Clearly, just from my own experience, this has not been an expedited process. I am hopeful that NHTSA can provide some leverage with Jaguar to actually execute on this process in a good faith and a timely manner. Electrical system issues. Had to replace both batteries in the pacifica. The van jerks or grinds while trying to shift. Now the oil pan is warping which can cause the coolant to mix with the oil causing a safety hazard.

... approximately 30 MPH, there was a burning odor coming through the vents on the dashboard. The contact stated that she had not observed any warning lights being illuminated. The contact stated that the odor was intermittent but had been occurring for almost 4 months. The contact had stopped driving the vehicle out of concern that the vehicle might catch on fire. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted. The contact was advised by the dealer that a second letter would be sent when parts were available for the recall repair. My 2022 Chevrolet 1500 Trail boss (L87 V8) with 65,135 was making a clicking noise. I proceeded to make a service appointment with my local Chevrolet dealership on 05/03/2024. As I showed up for my scheduled appointment, I was turned away by the dealership due to lack of staff. I was told by my service advisor that my truck should be fine to drive for a few days till my rescheduled appointment on
... [XXX]. On my way to the dealership for the newly rescheduled appointment, my truck engine shut off unexpectedly and without any visual indication of engine problems. I had to call a tow company to take my truck to the dealership. Per the dealership's review, I was told over the phone that my engine had "locked up" and I would have to replace the entire engine. I was a couple thousand miles outside of warranty... the dealership told me there was nothing they could do to assist me with the cost of the new engine. This morning on social media, I saw that NHTSA is doing an investigation of the horrible experience I went through. Multiple times when weather is cold (currently 42 degrees, so not even that cold) the engine will not start. It is a brand new engine that was replaced after the heavily reported coolant leak issue - which should be recalled!) My vehicle suddenly lost power driving down the road at approximately 20MPH. I rolled to the side and the vehicle engaged the electronic parking brake. It's been at Chrysler dealership for over a week and is now a STARS case according to my service rep. .
