Tesla is refusing to take any responsibility for this issue even though it’s very well documented and we end up with a $4500 bill, something that we never should be responsible for. When the auto stop feature turns on, the car totally stops, and doesn't turn the engine back on for 20 minutes. The problem with the LKAS manifests in the following ways: The system unexpectedly disengages without warning, failing to provide lane-keeping assistance. ... re. At times, the system does not activate as intended, even when road conditions and markings are clear and well-defined. I have attempted to troubleshoot the issue by ensuring that the vehicle’s sensors and cameras are clean and unobstructed. However, the problem persists. I have also reported the issue to a Honda dealership, but they have not been able to provide a definitive resolution. This malfunction creates a serious safety concern, as an unpredictable LKAS system can lead to unintentional lane drifting or sudden corrective actions that may startle the driver or lead to a loss of control. Given that LKAS is a key component of Honda's driver-assistance technology, I believe this issue warrants further investigation by NHTSA to determine whether it constitutes a broader defect in the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid model. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this matter and determine if similar complaints have been reported. If this issue is determined to be a widespread defect, I urge NHTSA to take appropriate action, including a potential recall or mandatory software update from Honda. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I would appreciate any updates regarding your findings and any further steps I should take. Please feel free to contact me at the information provided above.Read more

Hi, I don't have a functioning car. It is bricked due to an update from 2.0 to 2.1 (en route to 2.2). I've experienced all the normal stuff like my Brakes wouldn't work as expected and the ADAS Warning Beeps were going nuts... But currently, there was a forced, OTA Update that I did not consent to and now the car does not move (or turn on). I'm concerned about the ongoing issues that are bei
... ng seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker durning a 2.1 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. This is leaving me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I had to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free mandated safety recall. Moreover, I've noticed a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners after OTA updates. It appears that a significant percentage of vehicles—approximately 2% to 5%—experience similar problems, rendering them undrivable during the 48-hour update window. This situation not only disrupts our daily lives but also raises serious concerns about the reliability of the software updates. I am particularly troubled by the statistics indicating that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully after several weeks of attempts. With such a limited number of service personnel available nationwide, it is alarming that many owners like myself are left without adequate support during these challenging times. I urge you to address these issues promptly, putting more vehicles in danger of becoming undrivable because of the safety recall process being flawed may not be helpful in this current process. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer in resolving my current situation and compensating for the expenses incurred due to this inconvenience. Thank you :)Read more

Vehicle had been operating less than 5 minutes. When I was on an on-ramp for a left entrance to a highway, several warning lights illuminated in addition to messaging on my dash. The car entered "turtle mode" which extremely limited the speed of the vehicle. I immediately pressed the button for my hazard lights to come on, but they did not operate correctly. They flashed so rarely that they did
... not warn vehicles behind me that I was having an incident. During this incident, the vehicle speedometer was inoperable, displaying "-- --" instead of a speed. I was lucky to be able to pull to the shoulder, but with the narrow shoulder and my child in the car I felt safer limping off the highway using primarily the shoulder. I was terrified and had some cars nearly hit me/honk as I was going approximately 10 miles per hour on a 55mph roadway. I have seen similar reports on online forums for chrysler pacifica minivans, so I am not the only one to encounter the issue. The vehicle has also at times refused to go into gear while in Park, which is a related problem but I don't deem it a safety issue. The problem is intermittent and the service center is able to see 'codes' when they examine the vehicle but as the issue is intermittent they have returned the car to me twice with no repairs performed since it didn't occur while they had it. The warning lights and turtle mode occurred simultaneously or within a few seconds. I have a video during the incident. I can see the fuel gauge needle rising and falling wildly, turtle mode, a picture of a wrench, check engine, parking brake, brake, collision avoidance, ABS, and others. Each time the vehicle has gone in for service they have seen and cleared codes but they did not come back immediately, so no repairs were attempted. It is in the shop again currently and I have escalated to the manufacturer to hopefully get greater assistance.Read more

This vehicle was involved in a tragic car accident. The passengers both suffered deep laceration to the skull and other vital parts of the body. There was a recall notice that was sent to the owner 4 months after the fatal accident had occurred. Based on police inspection of the vehicle, they’ve determined there was mechanical failure to the vehicle which can be seen through a police bodycam at
... the police impound lot. The front passenger suffered a 6 inch deep cut to the skull according to the medical examiner’s report. The child in the rear also suffered a deep laceration to the ankle and foot despite being restrained in a child seat. Driver suffered a graze cut to the side of his head and survived the tragic accident after recovering from a coma he stated that the brakes did not function properly when depressed moments prior to the accident. Data recorder from the vehicle shows the driver was depressing the brake pedal the entirety of the time up to the moment of impact. This vehicle was t-boned by an suv, and this accident should have been survivable, however the passenger seat looks to be torn out of its brackets according to the pictures from the accident scene. I am requesting this vehicle be investigated as there are many vehicles similar to this one that could have dangerous defects which were outlined in the safety recall notice that was mailed to the owner. The safety recall did mention to stop driving this vehicle immediately, however this notice did not arrive in a timely manner to where anyone could have taken action immediately. I am requesting that this vehicle be inspected for not only the safety of the community it’s but for identifying why two people lost their lives due to a manufacture failure that could have been prevented if notification was sent in a timely manner. Thank you and I look forward to following up with someone regarding this immediate and dangerous concern. I have the original letters and when they were mailed to the owner.Read more

On [XXX], while driving on the [XXX] Highway with my family, the vehicle automatically shifted into neutral and I lost control of the accelerator pedal. I safely changed lanes and pulled over to the shoulder. Once in park, the vehicle never started again. We were stranded on the side of the road until my husband and a tow truck returned to collect my family and tow the vehicle to the Fairbanks
... dealership. The engine was diagnosed as an engine failure requiring complete engine replacement. We are a military family and were on orders to move our household on [XXX]. We did not have any other option but to trade in the vehicle and purchase a new one. Had I been driving on a road that did not have a shoulder or the traffic too congested to safely change lanes, my family could have been in significant danger for a motor vehicle accident. This tree was about 18"
... -24" diameter. One hour later cautiously drove to Toyota dealer who performed inspection of brake system, test drove, and scanned the computer system. They found no abnormal codes for the time of the incidents. They could not replicate the issues. There were no warning indicators noticed during the incident.
