Ford claims the vehicle is still okay to drive; however i am not comfortable with having to deal with the ride quality for the next several months

The svc 4wd light stays on and the power transfer unit makes a horrible noise. It is the same symptoms as the recall of the 2017-2019s, but somehow, my car does not fall under the recall. The car only has 52521 miles on it and is treated very well. There is no reason that this should have broke.

My 2023 Toyota Tacoma creates an error message on my console screen "A Malfunction in the SRS Airbag System has been detected. Contact your Toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected." In 2024, the first error message appeared. Same as above. By January 2025, there also appeared a red indicator light on the dashboard displaying something about the seat belt or airbag. ... . I took it to the Lonestar Toyota dealership and they told me the airbags were considered part of the drive train and the issue was still under warranty. They returned my pick up to me while we ordered the airbag parts they needed to fix the issue. The parts arrived in February and on Thursday, February 20th I dropped off my vehicle and picked it up on Friday, February 28. When I picked up the tacoma, the notes on the invoice said, "Tech replaced the passenger side airbag, airbag light is off." Later that evening, the error message on the console screen returned. Same as above, "A malfunction in the SRS airbag system has been detected. Contact your Toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected." On Monday morning, March 3 I returned the 2023 Toyota Tacoma and left it there for a week when I picked it up the following Monday, March 10th. This invoice said, "could not duplicate customer concern at this time". Even though the error message was not on the Console screen by the time I took it to the service department it was still visible within the notification history. The very next Wednesday, March 12th, the error message on the console screen appeared once again, and I arrived at the dealership within the hour with the error message still within the history, even though it was not on the main console screen. The notes on this last invoice states, "history of airbag system malfunction was cleared. The computer was reset and no message is currently populating." I picked up my vehicle March 21. If this is a known issue with the Rams from 2013-2016 why haven't all the models been recalled. I received a recall on my 2018 F-150 to update / reprogram the PCM. The truck had been running well and had not had any check engine lights on (at least since I have owned it). The recall work was done at a local Ford dealer on 2-17-2025. On [XXX], the check engine light came on. The truck was taken to a local mechanic who scanned the code and said it indicated that one of the catalytic conver
... ters needed replaced. The light went out about a week later, but came back on [XXX]. I believe the check engine light coming on is related to / caused by the recall in which the PCM was updated. I contacted the service department where the recall work was performed. He said the dealership could scan the check engine code, but it would cost $200-$300 and I would be responsible for that cost. After reading about many similar cases online in which other people believe the recall work has now caused check engine codes indicating there is a problem with the catalytic converter(s). I contacted FORD customer service and opened a case (case # [XXX] ). I was told by the dealer that the truck could go into limp mode at any point and would be basically undrivable at that point and potentially cause a dangerous situation - especially in traffic or if towing a trailer. I am getting no where with the dealer or FORD customer service. I believe the problem has been caused by the recall in which the PCM was updated. I am writing to express serious safety concerns regarding our 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali, which has been in our possession for less than two years and has only 24,000 miles. ... 25, when we contacted OnStar for assistance. Despite their response indicating no alerts on their end, we were advised to reach out again if the issue persisted. Unfortunately, the problem did occur again on March 16th, which prompted us to contact OnStar and have the vehicle towed to the nearest dealership for further evaluation. The service department has since informed us that the motor requires replacement. Upon conducting additional research, it seems this may be a known issue with many vehicles manufactured by GM around the same time. We are deeply concerned by this safety hazard, especially given that the malfunction could have led to a life-threatening accident. While we are grateful that we were fortunate enough to avoid any serious consequences, we believe a solution beyond standard repairs is necessary to restore our confidence in the safety of this vehicle. ... d to a local shop where they informed me that this was associated with recall 94B. This recall was posted over six months ago and there is still no fix available. My vehicle will not start or run, and is not safe to drive even if I could get it to start. I am being told that it is impossible to fix until the manufacturer releases a repair option. I had to pay not only to have my vehicle towed and inspected by the first shop, but also I had to pay for it to be towed all the way back home (because I was on vacation when this happened) and it is now at a second shop who has confirmed the diagnosis and that no repair is available. This is my primary source of transportation for myself and my children, and I am being told that six months ago this issue was acknowledged by the manufacturer, but they have not fixed it. I contacted the support line for the manufacturer and was transferred six times, and then I was ultimately told that a supervisor would call me back with a solution, but that hasn’t happened yet. I asked if I should have my vehicle towed again to get it to the dealership for repairs and if they could offer me a loaner vehicle and the representative said she couldn’t advise me on that and I had to wait to hear back from a supervisor. I need them to either make a fix available or provide me a loaner or replacement vehicle if they are unable to resolve the problem. I purchased this vehicle in good faith.Read more
