THIS CAR HAS AN ONGOING RECALL FOR SEAT RECLINER BOLTS. I WAS DRIVING AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE SEAT BACK WENT FLAT AND I FELL BACKWARDS WHILE DRIVING. THIS WILL BE THE 4TH TIME THE SEAT BELT RECLINER BOLT BROKE. I BELIEVE I AM DUE FINANCIAL RESTITUTION EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT GET INJURED OR WORSE I COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. ONCE I STARTED LOOKING, I FOUND SEVERAL FORUMS WERE A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE, AND IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT EVERYONE REPORT THIS ISSUE TO POSSIBLY CREATE A RECALL IF THE FAILURE RATE OF THE ACTUATOR IS HIGH ENOUGH. I ALSO FOUND THAT THE PART THAT NEEDS REPLACED IS INEXPENSIVE, IT'S LESS THAN $50. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY IN ACCESSING THE PART, THE ENTIRE DOOR PANEL HAS TO BE TAKEN APART TO ACCESS IT, THE AVERAGE REPAIR QUOTE FOR THIS REPAIR IS IN THE $700-$800 RANGE. THIS SEEMS LIKE A REALLY POOR DESIGN CHOICE FOR A PART THAT SEEMS TO HAVE SUCH A HIGH FAILURE RATE. EARLY ON/ABOUT AUGUST 27, 2020 I WENT OUT TO MY CHRYSLER T&C , PARKED OVERNIGHT IN MY HOME'S DRIVEWAY, AND DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY INCIDENTS OF SUDDEN CONTACT WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE OR OBJECT. EXAMINATION OF THE VEHICLE EXTERIOR SHOWS ZERO EVIDENCE OF ANY CONTACT WITH ANOTHER OBJECT ON ANY OF THE OUTSIDE SURFACES.
