Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The manufacturer is aware of the issue. There is a TSB issued that asks the dealer to send the faulty parts back to them. They are fully aware of the issue and are choosing to replace faulty parts with equally faulty parts. The dealer told me the replacement injectors “are not supposed to have the factory defect” but confirmed they are the same parts. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? This failure could result in safety issues (thinking the door is locked when it is not) both while driving at highway speeds or during an emergency exit scenario where you cannot unlock the door. I think it should be a mandatory recall to fix these door locks by Nissan. In the meantime, I will try to "fix" it in our car (but will save the bad parts). Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve faced a manufacturer-documented defect with no support. My previous vehicle, a Mitsubishi Outlander, suffered from a known transmission issue that was later part of a class action lawsuit. Despite experiencing the same symptoms, my VIN was excluded. The cost of repair outweighed the value of the vehicle, and I ultimately had to walk away from it as a total loss—leaving me without a car. There were 3 of us and no one opened the tailgate, we hooked up to my boat and drove less than a quarter mile to the boat ramp, when we arrived, the tailgate had opened and the stairs on the boat had impacted the small part of the tailgate during a right turn. Prior to leaving the driveway and after hooking up the boat I had to back up slightly and remove pressure to remove the chock block from the boat trailer tires. (I would have noticed that the tailgate was open) this happened with no warning, put me and my passengers at risk and did over $1000 dollars in property damage. Two weeks ago, before a road trip, I again had full diagnostics done on the vehicle and there were no codes that popped up. The vehicle died on my trip. Reading the codes, I received my first code regarding problems with my cylinders after the vehicle died. Now I need a completely new engine because cylinders 1 and 3 failed. The car only has 80,000 miles on it. In all my years of my family owning different vehicles, I've always owned vehicles until they were well over 100,000 miles. The only two vehicles owned by my family that ever needed engine replacement early in their lives were both Hyundai vehicles. After I was told that I needed a new engine at 80,000 miles, I was told that this was not due to the one specific problem Hyundai would cover so I have to pay to replace it myself. There are a plethora of forums, mechanic experiences, etc, that show these 2.4L engines have this exact problem, but Hyundai washes their hands of us. As a second owner, I don't qualify for the engine warranty, which was extended to 120,000 because Hyundai knows these engines are horrible. My warranty ended when the car was 5 years old, and had 60,000 miles. And up until last week, I've never had an engine code pop up in diagnosis so I have no idea how I was supposed to predict premature engine failure and remedy it within that time frame. It's just another hit against anyone who can't afford to buy a brand new vehicle.Read more

When taking turns the steering "sticks" amd it takes extra physical force to "unstick" the car. While unsticking by turning the steering wheel harder than normal, it either crosses into uncoming traffic or runs off the shoulder. My car is equipped with Full Self Driving. When I use that mode the car drives over , on, or dangerously close to the middle yellow line. ... ky going down the road. I took the car to the Tesla Service center yesterday and they confirmed the issue and checked the hardware associated with the system. They indicated that the hardware was all working and adjusted properly and that the issue is a software issue. They told me to not use it and that eventually maybe Tesla will put out an update that may fix the problem. Tesla has sold thousands of cars with FSD and continues to call the system in BETA. They have since moved on to 2 more versions of the software and not offered an upgrade to the thousands of early adopters with the original hardware and software. The system is dangerous to drivers and everyone on or near the roadways when these are activated. Tesla said that can upgrade these “older” 2015 and newer models but haven’t because it will cost too much for them. They charged over $8000 for the system and it has yet to work. They need to be forced recall the system and fix these cars for everyone’s safety. The service manager told me he has a similar issue with car and he just opts to not use it. The vehicle has repeatedly lost power and shut off while driving on the highway, including one incident where I was unable to fully pull off the road before it stalled in active traffic. My children were in the vehicle at the time, placing us in immediate danger of being struck by oncoming vehicles. Because the vehicle can stop without warning, it is unsafe to drive and puts both my family and others on the road at risk. The dealership has confirmed the issue and advised that parts are on backorder for at least 10 weeks. They also stated that even once the parts arrive, they are uncertain how to complete the repair, indicating that Chrysler has not yet provided an effective fix. The vehicle has been inspected by the authorized Chrysler dealership multiple times, and the issue has been reported to Chrysler. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. A warning message reading “Pull over as the vehicle will stop” appears on the dashboard prior to each failure event. The first occurrence was on June 10, 2025, while driving on the highway to my daughter’s graduation. Since then, the same warning has appeared multiple times before the vehicle shuts off completely. It has been 6 weeks at this point and I have no vehicle. Chrysler has offered rental reimbursement of $60 a day but there is no vehicle that is a 7 passenger like my van that is of this cost. The backup camera was intermittently showing no image and now it says "Camera unavailable. Contact your dealer." This impacts the safety of myself and others while backing up the vehicle. I have not taken the vehicle to a dealer yet but it can be reproduced if requested. The intermittent loss of image started last week and slowly led to the camera no longer working at all.
